Details

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re hosting a women-only picnic gathering in the park where we can relax, connect, and reflect together.
This event will include a simple creative activity inspired by the mimosa flower, a symbol of International Women’s Day in many cultures. Mimosa represents strength, resilience, and solidarity among women.
We’ll spend a peaceful afternoon sharing stories, writing postcards, and decorating them with mimosa flowers.
This is a welcoming and supportive space for women to connect, express themselves, and celebrate each other's journeys.
Sharing stories is completely optional — listening is just as meaningful.

# 🌿 What We’ll Do

Participants are welcome to share:
• a personal story
• a life lesson
• a challenge they overcame
• a woman who inspired them
• advice they would give their younger self
Or simply come and listen.

# 🌼 Mimosa Postcard Exchange (Closing Activity)

To close the event, we’ll create and exchange mimosa postcards.
I will prepare:
• postcards
• mimosa flowers
• simple craft materials
Participants can write a short message such as:
• a kind word to another participant
• encouragement for someone
• a reflection from the event
• a message celebrating women
You can decorate the postcard with mimosa flowers and exchange it with another participant as a small memory of the gathering.
Mimosa flowers are a symbol of International Women’s Day, representing strength, solidarity, and appreciation among women.
