What we’re about

Are you curious about yourself and about life? Are you interested in your true inner nature, and the true nature of reality? This group is for anyone interested in the spiritual journey and in learning about the Diamond Approach. The Diamond Approach is a modern path of spiritual awakening founded by A.H. Almaas and Karen Johnson. It is a path of living in the world - having work, friends, family, all the things we love - while also exploring who and what we are beyond the idea of a conventional life. In this way, we can be "in the world but not of it."

Because the Diamond Approach arose in our times, its methods include familiar elements of spiritual traditions such as meditation, but it also has a unique approach to understanding consciousness and the barriers to consciousness that comes from psychology. (If you understand how the ego forms, and how that relates to consciousness, you have a means to unwrap the ego.) Meetings are hosted by a teacher of the Diamond Approach.

In meetups, participants will begin to see how spirituality and psychology interface, how spiritual work leads us to our inner obstacles, and how sincere inquiry can dissolve barriers and allow an experience of our true nature. Meetings will include meditation, discussion, and experiential exercises, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions about inner work, the Diamond Approach, and how this relates to your own unique life. No experience is necessary, only curiosity.

Meetups will be in English. They will be suitable for native speakers of English and also those who have a moderate level of English language.
