Event Details:
Join us for another Tokyo Expat Social Club Discussion Night, where we gather outdoors for thoughtful conversation and shared perspectives.
This month’s theme is inspired by the book The Psychology of Money, which explores how our beliefs, experiences, and emotions shape the way we think about money and financial decisions.
Rather than discussing the book itself in detail, the evening focuses on the ideas behind it. Why do different people view money so differently? How do our backgrounds influence our relationship with risk, saving, spending, or security? And what does a “good financial life” actually look like?
You don’t need to have read the book to join. The discussion is designed to be open and reflective, with a few prompts to get things started and plenty of room for the conversation to evolve naturally.
The evening will also include a casual book exchange. I’ll bring a few books to share, and anyone is welcome to bring a book they’d like to pass along. If something catches your interest, you’re welcome to take it home. Participation is completely optional.
Set in the calm surroundings of Hibiya Park, the evening blends thoughtful discussion with a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
Come curious, reflective, or simply interested in hearing different perspectives.
