What we’re about
Ever feel like you're the only one geeking out over Korean dramas or trying to master Japanese grammar on your own? What if you could connect with real people who share your obsession with K pop anime ramen and hanbok? This is the place where fans of Korean and Japanese culture come together to celebrate everything we love in person and with good company
We host regular meetups that rotate between local cafes museums parks and cultural centers depending on the event. A typical gathering might be a kimchi making workshop a casual language exchange over matcha lattes or a group outing to a Korean BBQ spot followed by karaoke. Some events focus on learning like beginner hangul or hiragana practice sessions while others are just about having fun watching movie nights or celebrating Chuseok and Setsubun together. Everything is designed to be interactive and low pressure so you can show up as you are
Beyond the food and fun this group is about building real connections. You'll get to practice languages in a supportive setting pick up cultural nuances you wont find in textbooks and maybe even find your next best friend. Many of us started here shy or unsure but found confidence through regular meetups. Whether you're looking to improve your speaking skills deepen your cultural understanding or just have a safe space to nerd out we've got your back
This community is perfect for anyone curious about Korea or Japan whether you're a total beginner or already fluent. It doesn't matter if you're into J rock K drama bento boxes or planning a future trip to Seoul or Kyoto. If you're open minded respectful and excited to learn from others you'll fit right in. Solo travelers exchange students local culture lovers and lifelong learners all share this space
