About us
【Purpose of this group】
This group was created to meet the demand for learning Japanese without textbooks. We've heard many complaints from Japanese learners: textbook materials are childish, and the Japanese used in textbooks is completely different from what Japanese people actually use. To address these concerns, this group studies Japanese without textbooks. We don't study grammar or vocabulary. Instead, we learn Japanese using real-life topics about Japanese society, daily life, customs, social issues, and questions.
【Participants】
Anyone interested in Japan or Japanese culture is welcome to join.

It is for JLPT N3 or higher.🇯🇵 Weekly Event! The "Deep Dive into Japan" Conversation Salon for Intermediate Learners 🍵
Are you an intermediate Japanese learner who thinks, "I can speak it, but I want to know MORE about Japan!"?
This event is not just casual chitchat. It's an immersive, in-person learning salon where we take a single, set topic each week and dig deep, using Japanese to explore the "Why?" and "How?" of everything.
While you'll definitely be using your Japanese skills, the real goal of this event is not to speak "perfect Japanese," but to deeply understand Japanese society, culture, and history.
💡 Why This Event is NOT Just Casual Chitchat
Our conversation salon is built on these three core pillars:- 【Set and Provided Topics Every Time】
- We prepare fascinating deep-dive themes every week, ranging from "Recent Trends" to "Traditional Ways of Thinking." You never have to worry about finding a topic!
- 【"Deep Dive" Dialogue Using Materials】
- We use concrete materials like photos, articles, and data related to the topic. This is not surface-level free talk; it trains you to think logically and express your opinions clearly.
- 【Focusing on "Japan" over "Japanese"】
- We don't spend time correcting minor grammar or pronunciation. Our top priority is deeply understanding Japanese culture, society, and customs—"Japan" itself.
✅ Benefits of Joining
- Satisfy Your Curiosity: You'll have a new "Wow, I didn't know that!" discovery every week.
- Practical Conversation Skills: You'll train to organize your thoughts and communicate them structurally in Japanese.
- Find Your Community: You'll connect with other passionate learners who are serious about understanding Japan.
Ready to level up your Japanese study from "Conversation" to "Exploration"?
## Instructor Profile
Nice to meet you.
I provide liberal arts education conducted in Japanese, rather than conventional “Japanese language instruction,” for non-native professionals working in Japan.### My Teaching Philosophy:
Japanese as a Tool for Thinking, Not Merely Something to Be Learned
Many Japanese lessons focus primarily on vocabulary and grammar acquisition. However, what is truly required in business and social life goes beyond that: the ability to understand the deeper structures of Japanese society.
In my lessons, Japanese is used as a tool, through which we explore the following areas in depth:- Literature: Analyzing original texts to understand the Japanese mindset, values, and sense of aesthetics.
- History: Tracing the historical contexts that have shaped contemporary Japan.
- Politics & Economics: Examining the structures behind the news and analyzing Japan’s distinctive decision-making processes.
### A Key Feature: “Fieldwork” That Engages All Five Senses
Knowledge does not exist only on the desk. My classes place strong emphasis on fieldwork, going beyond textbooks and into real-world settings.
- Historical sites: Visiting locations featured in literary works or places that marked historical turning points, and engaging in discussion while experiencing the atmosphere firsthand.
- Social and economic sites: Exploring locations that reflect political and economic dynamics, transforming abstract knowledge into lived understanding.
These in-person lessons offer a sense of immediacy and intellectual excitement that can only be achieved face to face.
### Many of My Students Are People Who:
- Are comfortable with everyday Japanese but want to engage in in-depth discussions on specialized topics.
- Wish to read classical texts or business documents in the original Japanese and fully grasp their context.
- Want to turn their weekends into a time for intellectually stimulating, adult learning.
Rather than stopping at a surface-level understanding of Japanese society, why not explore its essence together?

Modern & Critical
日常会話では少し避けてしまうような、あるいはニュースだけでは分からない「日本の違和感」を、3つの視点で掘り下げます。
- 社会の仕組み: 制度や経済システムが引き起こしている問題の正体。
- 文化の深層: 言葉や習慣に潜む、無意識のルール。
- 現代の揺らぎ: 変わりゆく世界の中で、日本独自のアイデンティティはどう変化しているのか。
#### 📌 参加してほしい方(Requirements)
