🇯🇵 Weekly Event! The "Deep Dive into Japan" Conversation Salon for Intermediate Learners 🍵

Ready to step out of the textbook and exchange ideas on real-world topics? We’ll use relatable questions like "Why is Japan so 〇〇?" as a starting point to dive into deep conversations with Japanese locals.
Come practice expressing your thoughts in Japanese within the relaxing atmosphere of a cafe. By the end of the discussion, you’re sure to have found both new insights and new friends!

●Time: A full 2 hours (Output + Socializing)

●Target Audience: Intermediate learners who want to speak more Japanese & Japanese locals interested in foreign perspectives.

●Key Feature: Learn difficult vocabulary naturally while relaxing in a comfortable cafe setting.

【Instructor Profile】
Nice to meet you.
I provide liberal arts education conducted in Japanese, rather than conventional “Japanese language instruction,” for non-native professionals working in Japan.

### My Teaching Philosophy:

Japanese as a Tool for Thinking, Not Merely Something to Be Learned
Many Japanese lessons focus primarily on vocabulary and grammar acquisition. However, what is truly required in business and social life goes beyond that: the ability to understand the deeper structures of Japanese society.
In my lessons, Japanese is used as a tool, through which we explore the following areas in depth:

  • Literature: Analyzing original texts to understand the Japanese mindset, values, and sense of aesthetics.
  • History: Tracing the historical contexts that have shaped contemporary Japan.
  • Politics & Economics: Examining the structures behind the news and analyzing Japan’s distinctive decision-making processes.

### A Key Feature: “Fieldwork” That Engages All Five Senses

Knowledge does not exist only on the desk. My classes place strong emphasis on fieldwork, going beyond textbooks and into real-world settings.

  • Historical sites: Visiting locations featured in literary works or places that marked historical turning points, and engaging in discussion while experiencing the atmosphere firsthand.
  • Social and economic sites: Exploring locations that reflect political and economic dynamics, transforming abstract knowledge into lived understanding.

These in-person lessons offer a sense of immediacy and intellectual excitement that can only be achieved face to face.

### Many of My Students Are People Who:

  • Are comfortable with everyday Japanese but want to engage in in-depth discussions on specialized topics.
  • Wish to read classical texts or business documents in the original Japanese and fully grasp their context.
  • Want to turn their weekends into a time for intellectually stimulating, adult learning.

Rather than stopping at a surface-level understanding of Japanese society, why not explore its essence together?
