In this session, we’ll explore **Pyrrhonism**, the philosophy of Pyrrho of Elis, sometimes called “Greek Buddha”. Recent fascinating books such as *[Greek Buddha](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23528934-greek-buddha)* and *[Pyrrhonism: How the Ancient Greeks Reinvented Buddhism](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6028384-pyrrhonism)* have examined the encounter between Pyrrho and early Buddhism in India.

For this Meetup, no preparation or previous knowledge is necessary. We'll discuss Pyrrho’s claim that suspending judgement (*epochē*) can lead to *ataraxia* (tranquillity), and consider what practical lessons modern Stoics might draw from the philosophy.

Short readings will be provided to guide what promises to be a lively discussion!
