A Day in the Life of a Stoic
Details
How might Stoic ideas shape an ordinary day?
This session explores Stoicism as a practical philosophy for daily life, from the morning through daily activity and interaction, to rest and reflection.
We’ll read and discuss short passages from ancient Stoic writers, considering what a day lived in accordance with Stoicism might look like, and how simple practices and attitudes can shape attention and perspective.
No preparation or prior knowledge is necessary. Short readings will be provided to help guide what promises to be a lively discussion.
**Please note the time and venue.** It is a simple meeting room, but there are vending machines in the centre, so you may want to bring some change so that you can get a drink.
There is a waitlist, so if you need to change your reservation, please do so promptly to allow others enough notice to attend.
The group is apolitical, focusing on practical philosophy.
Newcomers welcome!
