We cannot step into the same river twice, wrote the pre-Socratic philosopher Heraclitus. In this session, we’ll read some of his surviving fragments and consider how his vision of a world in constant change influenced the Stoics - in particular, Marcus Aurelius.

How might this way of seeing help shape our responses to everyday challenges?

**Please note the time and venue.** It is a simple meeting room, but there are vending machines in the centre, so you may want to bring some change so that you can get a drink.

There is a waitlist, so if you need to change your reservation, please do so promptly to allow others enough notice to attend.

The group is non-religious and apolitical, focusing on practical philosophy.

No previous knowledge is needed. Newcomers welcome!
