Tokyo FinTech Meetup #23 - KodakOne & The Future of the Image Economy
Details
Each day over 1.8 billion images are uploaded to the internet on a hand-full of platforms and the global stream is far bigger. Currently, photographers, creatives and the average smartphone user are not able to control the use of their assets or the context in which they are seen. This creates unnecessary personal and legal exposure which needs to be resolved. The team behind the new KODAKOne platform will fix this problem and create a new foundation for the global image economy.
The blockchain-based platform will enable its users to upload, register and protect their work and helps them to get paid for their art a lot easier and faster than what’s possible today.
Jan Denecke, CEO and co-founder of the company behind the KODAKOne platform, will share his vision for the platform, interesting insights about IP protection and the image economy, and the lessons that he and his team learned along the way of building one of the most ambitious startups in the market right now.
