What we're about

Whatever your nationality, Tokyo Gaijins is an international friendship, adventure sports and social group for outgoing people in and around Japan.

We organize a bunch of different events all over the year from an easy walk to extreme ski and snowboarding. Here in our Meetup group we will schedule our socialising events if you interested in any outdoor and extreme sports feel free to check out or website or Facebook page.

We are having a salsa party every month. For the sakura “cherry blossom” season we organize some get together. Summer is mostly packed with our camping, beach and dolphin swimming trips. Autumn is our favourite season for some hikes to get stunned by the beautiful coloured leaves. Winter is almost ski and snowboarding trips plus some snow trekking and Santa runs here and there.

We are perfect to get in touch with people from all over the world to find hiking buddies, outdoor loving folks or friends to go on a bike ride or any adventure.

Besides our weekend events we are organizing regularly several types of sport sessions during the week. So if you are more interested in playing soccer or volleyball feel free to join the fun. (Links are below)

Shosenkyo Gorge Autumn Walk Trip

A lovely day walk through the beautiful Shosenkyo gorge; one of Japan's most beautiful gorges! You can see this famous gorge and the stunning Sengataki waterfall surrounded by gorgeous autumn leaves. Hida Takayama, Shomyo Falls and Shirakawago Trip

An outdoor and culture adventure for all ages! Gunma Autumn Adventure Trip

Explore Gunma's hidden gems! This Trip Features; Fukiware Falls; Japan's version of Niagara Falls is 7 meters high and 30 meters wide with rapid stream gushing down from both sides and hitting the river bottom is a spectacular sight. Seen form the bedrock above them, the falls make a powerful impression. The autumn foliage is also a must-see. Takatsu Gorge; known as "Yabakei in Kanto region", this gorge holds a spectacular vista especially during the autumn foliage. Mt. Myogi; one of the three best scenic spots in Japan. The fantastically shaped rocks sculpt dramatic forms of natural beauty and offer various attractive landscapes especially during the autumn season. Mt. Arakurayama Sengen Park and Jukai 'Suicide' Forest Autumn Trekking Trip

Let's explore and discover some of Japan's hidden gems! This Trip Features: Arakurayama Sengen Park; a 15min walk up passing some gorgeous autumn leaves along many stairs will lead you to the 5-storey Pagoda. Together with the colorful autumn leaves and the 5-storey Pagoda, this is the place you can get THE BEST AND MOST PHOTOGENIC VIEW OF MT. FUJI with it's iconic snow capped peak. Absolutely jaw dropping on a clear day! Aokigahara Jukai Forest; better known as the 'Suicide Forest' or Sea of Trees, is a forest thriving on 30 square kilometers of hardened lava laid down by the last major eruption of Mt. Fuji in 864 AD. Sad facts, Jukai Forest is one of the most popular suicide destinations in the world so walking through the thick forest on it's beautiful nature trail can be spooky. Koyodai; a spectacular view spot to see Mt. Fuji upclose with it's foot surrounded by beautiful and colorful autumn leaves. Totally breathtaking on a clear day. Ryugu Doketsu; a 96m deep lava cave which enshrines the water god Tyotamahime no mikoto and is also a designated natural monument. Narusawa Hyoketsu Ice Cave; a designated 'Natural Monument'. It is a 153m long lava cave with an air hole in a vertical circular shape, created after the outpouring of lava, and located in Aokigahara Jukai. There are ice pillars inside all year round. Walk around the circular cave, enjoying its various expressions. Saiko Lake; the most beautiful amongst the Fuji Five Lakes, especially during the Fall Season. Fuji Yurari Spa; outdoor onsen/spa with a fantastic sunset view of Mt. Fuji. One of the best onsens in the region.
