20’s-30’s Collage Art Gathering - First Meeting!
20’s-30’s Collage Art Gathering - First Meeting!
Welcome to our very first meeting! **This is more so a test pilot** to view how we want things to run. **If you are running late, join us anytime anyway!** We will mostly be discussing what we want out of this group, although **feel free to bring your crafts supplies**, especially magazines, Pinterest print outs, journals, poster board, or anything else you want to decorate or use to decorate. This meeting will be very informal. However, I will list the general agenda we will be using to guide us. **Bring as many people as you like, but ensure they are in their 20’s and 30’s.** Otherwise, I will most likely ask them to leave. *Our (very rough) Agenda* 1. **Introduce yourself!** Tell us your name, age, creative experience, and what brought you to this group, as well as anything else you would like to share. 2. **We will play a game of two truths and one lies.** Although we are a very open group, please be mindful of sensitive topics, especially as we are just getting to know each other. While there are no hard set rules, we will decide as a group what is and is not appropriate to discuss. 3. If the group would like, **we will create a small collage to express who we are as individuals.** You can choose to share your final product or keep it private. No pressure! 4. *Then, we will discuss what we want from these meetings.* * **Basics**: Where would we like to meet? When does it work best for us to meet? How frequently would we like to meet? How would we like to stay in touch? How would we like to promote ourselves? How does leadership and event planning work? * **Specifics:** How would we gather our materials? Does anyone have anything special they would like to teach the group? What themes and prompts are we drawn to? Do we have any other crafts we would like to incorporate? *And anything else on your mind.* Afterwards, we will give everyone the chance to intermingle and possibly **exchange contact information** before departing. *I hope to see you there!*
