Vibe Creating with Charles Ajemian & DJ Little
**Get a Head Start - AI Vibe Creating**
This workshop will focus on using Gemini-based AI tools to help teams develop a one-page lean canvas, a research report, a visual prototype [via Google Stitch](https://stitch.withgoogle.com/), and a pitch deck.
This hands-on workshop teaches participants how to use AI tools at every key stage of building a project: planning, researching, visual prototyping, and pitching.
Inspired by the structure of the [Ideas of Impact Challenge](https://ideasofimpact.com), this session shows how AI can be more than a shortcut; it can be a strategic thinking partner. Participants will learn how to:
* Clarify their problem and define a strong value proposition using AI-supported planning tools
* Speed up research and customer discovery with focused AI prompts
* Build a visual prototype or demo using accessible AI platforms
* Craft a clear, confident pitch that tells a compelling story
Instead of using AI just to generate content, this workshop focuses on using AI to sharpen ideas, reduce confusion, and move from concept to action quickly.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with:
* A clearer project direction
* A basic prototype or demo concept
* A stronger and more structured pitch
This workshop is ideal for first-time founders, student innovators, and social impact teams who want to move fast while building something meaningful.
Workshop participants will need a laptop, a Gmail account, and their phone to participate in this session.

Group is relatively small which means you will get to show your skill and run quite a bit ! It is a co-ed game and open to all. Once the players limit is reached, no player will be admitted into the game. We already got a number of players (10) confirmed OFFLINE as guests of Host(s) through Signal. *Those in waitlist will be moved to the confirmed list only when spot becomes available.*
*Also the **games RULES** below, fair play and camaraderie must be followed*.
⚽ It is a friendly game, no slide or back tackling, no rough play, and no greedy play or coaching.
⚽ Join the **Signal group**, Download ***[Signal app](https://signal.org/download/)*** and ***[join the Signal group](https://signal.group/#CjQKIBolYKIpshcX_ooOu_fmV7xlbEeJm5zBZ6_V8uTiuFNOEhAk5KeXU1QFVt39OBRP106d)*** for the game day updates. *Firstcomer, SEE the host to approve you to join the group*.
⚽ No groupism or favors, everyone gets to play without regard for the level be it starter, intermediate or advanced. One must pass ball to appropriate fellow players without favors or preference to a particular player(s).
⚽ It is expected to change positions, no one is permanent striker or defense, make sure you circle around and give chance to everyone to experience the game fully.
⚽ Bring WHITE as well as DARK jersies (and ball too if you can).
⚽ Send DM to host(s) on Signal if you have questions.

⚽ We typically post the updates on Signal and MeetUp.
We may get some players confirmed OFFLINE so it is likely we may get at least 8v8.

PRJC Presents: Trad Jazz Mardi Gras Bash featuring Orleans Express
Grab your parasol and beads and join us for a Mardi Gras Trad Jazz celebration! There's plenty of room to dance - and plenty of King Cake!
The PRJC will again celebrate the Mardi Gras season featuring the Orleans Express of Maryland. You don't have to fly or drive down to New Orleans to experience an afternoon of entertainment, we'll have it right here for you in person in Silver Spring.
We invite you to listen, dance to the rhythms, and march to a variety of music fitting for the Mardi Gras season right here in Silver Spring. In addition to New Orleans style jazz, the band's repetoire includes several Tin Alley tunes such as *Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives to Me* and *I'll See You in C.U.B.A.* Wear your favorite Mardi Gras accessories such as masks, hats, boas and beads – and don’t forget those parasols as we join in their joyous Second Line Parade.
The Potomac River Jazz Club (PRJC) has been bringing live New Orleans/Trad style jazz to the DC area for over 52 years. We host our concerts at Rosensteel Hall as it has ample parking, is a few blocks from the metro (red line, Forest Glen), has plenty of seating and dance floor space, and a nicely priced cash bar. Come on out and hear some great live music while supporting local musicians!

NOTE: This is a play with music.
The most Tony Award-winning Show of the year. The most Tony Award-nominated Play of all time. ***Stereophonic*** mines the agony and the ecstasy of creation as it zooms in on a music studio in 1976. Here, an up-and-coming rock band recording a new album finds itself suddenly on the cusp of superstardom. The ensuing pressures could spark their breakup—or their breakthrough. Written by **David Adjmi**, directed by **Daniel Aukin**, and featuring original music by Arcade Fire’s **Will Butler**, *Stereophonic* invites the audience to immerse themselves—with fly-on-the-wall intimacy—in the powder keg process of a band on the brink of blowing up.
***Stereophonic***, which features original songs by Academy Award® nominee and Grammy Award® winner **Will Butler**, formerly of Arcade Fire, dominated the “Best Theater of 2023” lists, with top rankings in *The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, Time Out New York, Town & Country, TheaterMania, Theaterly*, and *The Spectator*. In April 2024, Stereophonic became the most Tony-nominated play in history receiving 13 Award nominations. It then became the most Tony Award-winning show of the 2024 season, winning 5 Tony Awards including Best Play, Direction (**Daniel Aukin**), Scenic Design (**David Zinn**) and Sound Design (**Ryan Rumery**).The Stereophonic creative team includes **David Zinn** (scenic designer), **Enver Chakartash** (costume designer), **Jiyoun Chang** (lighting designer), **Ryan Rumery** (sound designer), **Justin Craig** (music director), and **Gigi Buffington** (voice, text, and dialect coach).
***Stereophonic*** is 2 hours and 50 minutes including one intermission.
Greenbelt International Folk Dancers
Friday night Greenbelt International Folk Dancing has gone "virtual".
As we all practice good social distancing, many in our folk dance community are feeling the absence of our usually scheduled local dances. In response, please join us for the Greenbelt Virtual Folk Dance Session.
Let’s keep dancing!
• Connect and dance in our own homes
• Watch hosts leading familiar dances
• See each other; listen and dance to our favorites
How: We will be using the ZOOM video conferencing app to share music and live videos of the leaders and each other. This can be used on a desktop, laptop, or smartphone.
What to Expect: Your hosts are Linda Mansdorf, Vita Hollander, Ben Hole, and John Robinson. Collectively they will play 25-30 dances, which should approximate the number of dances normally done on a Friday night in-person event. The hosts will do a quick teaching or demonstration of the steps to some of the dances that may be less familiar to you or just as a refresher, but the session is not designed as a workshop, so the majority of the evening will be spent playing dances that many of us already know and love to do.
How To Join Us: Each week we will send an email with the Zoom Meeting link ID. Make sure John Robinson knows you would like to receive this email with the link. John's email address for Info: j_srobinson@verizon.net.

Contra dance Feb. 21 (First Unitarian Universalist Church) note new time!
# **Band: Old Possum's Menagerie; Caller: Richard Ades**
Beginner lesson at 1:30, regular dancing begins at 2:00 pm
NOTE THAT WE ARE TEMPORARILY DANCING IN THE AFTERNOON INSTEAD OF EVENING. Dance with us in the afternoon then you can still go out in the evening!
**Sponsor: All Soles Contra and Square Dancing, First Unitarian Universalist Church, 93 W. Weisheimer Rd., Columbus OH 43214**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 1:30 - 2:00, followed by dancing 2:00 - 430. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.

You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge.
**Abstract**
*Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit: From Intent to Implementation*
Spec-driven development flips the traditional workflow on its head: instead of code being the source of truth, the specification becomes the backbone of design, collaboration, and delivery. In this session, we’ll explore how GitHub Spec-Kit enables teams to treat specifications as first-class artifacts—living documents that drive architecture, implementation, and verification.
You’ll learn how Spec-Kit helps teams clearly express intent using structured, version-controlled specs that live alongside code. We’ll walk through a practical workflow that starts with defining system behavior and constraints, then progressively refines those specs into testable, automatable outcomes. Along the way, we’ll show how specs can reduce ambiguity, improve cross-functional collaboration, and make design decisions explicit before a single line of production code is written.
This talk will cover:
--What spec-driven development is (and what it isn’t)
--How GitHub Spec-Kit fits into modern developer workflows
--Using specs to align product, engineering, and AI-assisted development
--Real-world examples of turning specs into implementations with confidence
Whether you’re building greenfield systems, integrating AI into your stack, or trying to reduce costly rework, spec-driven development offers a scalable way to move faster without sacrificing clarity. Attendees will leave with concrete patterns and a clear mental model for adopting GitHub Spec-Kit in their own projects.
