The Quiet-ish ADHD Social | Small Group | Low Battery Laughs & Chat
The Quiet-ish ADHD Social | Small Group | Low Battery Laughs & Chat
This is a smallish-group, quiet-ish meetup for ADHD brains who want to connect with their tribe without their nervous system going, 'Alll riiight, I'm outta here!' Everyone welcome. You don't need a diagnosis, you don't even need ADHD. Just need to be a good egg. We’re meeting at **Picturehouse Central - UPSTAIRS cafe** (Piccadilly) because it’s one of those places where you can actually hear yourself think. Mostly. This is more of a tea/coffee and cake kinda venue. Sorry, booze hounds! **The environment is**: relaxed, validating, welcoming It won't be like whispering to each other at the back of the class, more less sensory Armageddon. **What to expect** A small group (human-scale, not “who are all these people” scale). A quiet-ish venue where you don’t have to shout your personality into existence. Conversation that can be normal (well, probably far from normal 😅. There is no need to worry about trying to fit in, no need to mask. A soft landing. Come late, ease in, do a gentle hello, no one’s timing you. Low-pressure hanging out. If you want to chat, great. If you want to sit and decompress near other people, also great. **The unofficial theme** How to be social without being assaulted by: fluorescent lighting overlapping conversations surprise music that one table doing a full volume podcast recording next to you. **Important Note:** If you cannot make it, please put 'Can't go'. This ensures there's space for others who want to attend 🙂 ‐------------------------------------------------------ Boundaries (quick, clear, important) Yay!-DHD is a consent-led space. Some people are chatty, some are quiet, some are pacing themselves. Please don’t push for personal details, contact info, or continued connection if someone isn’t offering it. This isn’t a dating event. ‐------------------------------------------------------- For you robots out there: ADHD \| Low sensory meetup \| Inclusive \| AUDHD \|

**UPDATE FOR FEB-APRIL 2026:** For February - end of April 2026 the host of this event will be away. It will still be happening every week, but will be a self-running group. If you are a regular - please welcome any newcomers and be prepared to set the 1 hour timer. If you are a newcomer, the group is usually easy to find (the table/s with notebooks and laptops), and the bar staff know where we are if you can't spot us first time. Happy writing! **\~** Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 18:00 on Wednesday afternoons/evenings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 18:00 - Quick introductions 18:15 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 19:15 - The End: chat, take off, or keep writing OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 19:30. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you at the Peckham Pelican! What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons. **Other Important Details:** \- If you arrive and can't figure out who we are \(usually the table with a lot of laptops and notebooks\)\, feel free to ask the bar staff who will point you in the right direction\. \- Many of our participants found the event through other means\, so please don't be put off by a low attendance number on MeetUp\! \- The Pelican has some\, but not many\, charging points\, so make sure laptops are charged and perhaps bring a notebook just in case\. \- The WiFi is also very poor \(non\-existent\)\, but most have found that to be a good thing\. ADHD Picnic for Women & NB people ☀️🥂
ADHD Picnic for Women & NB people ☀️🥂
Summer. The season when neurotypicals frolic effortlessly in parks while the rest of us spend 45 minutes deciding which bag to bring, arrive having forgotten to eat, and then can't find the group because we didn't think to ask where exactly in the park everyone would be. Good news: neither did anyone else. We'll find each other eventually. 1PM–3PM: WOMEN ONLY Women is an inclusive term and those who feels they fit into women, femme presenting, gender queer or NB are welcome to attend. The first two hours are a women-only space. This means you can talk about your ADHD without anyone interjecting to say their nephew is "a bit like that." You can also talk about literally anything else, we're not going to make you do sharing circles or fill in a worksheet about your feelings. It's a picnic. Sit on the grass. Eat something. Talk to someone or don't. 3PM ONWARDS: OPEN TO ALL https://meetu.ps/e/Q2clW/YBzrR/i Partners, friends, allies, and ADHDers of every variety are welcome from 3pm. The more the merrier, in a low-key way that doesn't actually require anyone to be merry if that's not where they're at. What to expect: Grass. Possibly some pigeons. People who will understand if you need to leave suddenly, or sit slightly away from the group, or talk for forty minutes about one specific thing Conversations that start mid-thought and end unresolved. This is fine. This is us. Someone who brought too many snacks. Someone who brought no snacks and forgot they were hungry until just now. What not to expect: A schedule. A host who has everything under control. Anyone arriving exactly on time (including us). Organised activities, name badges, or any pressure whatsoever to socialise in a way that doesn't suit you. Bring: something to sit on, something to eat and drink, sunscreen if you remember, a book you probably won't read, and whatever version of yourself turns up on the day. That one is fine. Getting there: [Map link here.](https://maps.app.goo.gl/m47CfNPgTuKnMtFC6?g_st=ic) Lincoln's Inn Fields, London WC2A. It's a smallish square park. We'll be in it. We will attach a bright coloured blanket to a tree. Look for the group that seems to be having a good time in a slightly disorganised way.
Sunshine & Silliness | The ADHDers Picnic | Holborn | Everyone Welcome
Sunshine & Silliness | The ADHDers Picnic | Holborn | Everyone Welcome
We are back again for another day of fun, silly laughs and making new friends! The event is a picnic in London for ADHDers, neurodivergent people, and friendly chaotic sorts. You don't need ADHD, or a diagnosis. Cool, nice people are welcome. We’ll be in **Lincoln's Inn Fields** from 3pm ([The women only picnic starts at 1pm)](https://meetu.ps/e/Q29Wk/YBzrR/i) and finish at... whenever. A loose ending feels on brand. Expect: *snacks, chats, and fresh air - wandering conversations and abrupt topic changes *people arriving late, leaving early, and forgetting what they were saying - a friendly mix of regulars and new people Bring: *something to sit on - food and drinks *water - layers / suncream / emergency crisps Lincol's Inn Fields is central, easy to get to, and near cafés, pubs and toilets, which is all very helpful for a picnic and for being alive. Come for twenty minutes or all day. Lurk gently. Overshare magnificently. Get distracted by a dog. Plenty of people come alone, so solo arrivals are very normal. If you are a feeling a bit shy or awkward, please ask for Kieran, (that's me) and we can have a chat. A nice, low-pressure London ADHD social meetup where you overstimulated folks can touch grass for a few hours. **Directions:** Come into Lincoln's Inn Field, look for a tree where a bright yellow blanket will be hanging. It's not a big space, we'll be easy to find. **A note: This is a consent-led space. Please consider not everyone wants to be asked for their phone number on meeting for the first time or to go out on a date. This is a strictly not a dating event. People come here to connect and build community. If anyone has any concerns, please speak to Kieran, (me) directly** A message for you robots out there: ADHD London \| Neurodivergent London \| New in town \| Make new friends \| picnics in Londo

Neurodivergent Women Navigating Midlife Changes - Sleep, Rest, and Connection
Sleep, Rest & Connection: Building Our Community Together Join us for the next gathering of The Pause Collective — a supportive meetup for neurodivergent women navigating perimenopause, menopause, burnout, overwhelm, and life transitions. Since many of us haven't yet had the opportunity to meet, we'll begin by getting to know one another and sharing what brought us to this community. We'll also explore one of the most common challenges many women experience during this season of life: sleep. Whether you're navigating insomnia, waking up in the middle of the night, racing thoughts, night sweats, exhaustion, burnout, or simply not feeling rested, you're not alone. This will be a relaxed, low-pressure coffee shop meetup focused on connection and conversation. No need to prepare anything. No pressure to share. Come as you are. Together we'll: • Introduce ourselves and get to know one another • Share what brought us to The Pause Collective • Discuss sleep, rest, and energy during perimenopause and menopause • Exchange ideas, experiences, and support • Explore what topics we'd like to discuss in future gatherings • Continue building the kind of community we'd like to create together This space is neurodivergent-affirming, self-diagnosis-friendly, and supportive of different communication styles and energy levels. Quiet participation is welcome. Listening is participating. Whether you're looking for support, learning, friendship, or simply a place where you don't have to explain yourself, you are welcome here. I look forward to meeting you. — Dawn

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!
