We are mostly two Danes joining, so we can make two groups: beginners and more advanced. We are having conversations while drinking tea. Hi everyone! Thursday is the offical book meeting day, so let's gather and share our reading. As usual, we will meet at the fourth floor of the Central Library as it has good facilities for book clubs and it is also free to use. No extra cafe money to spend. Idea is to meet and connect over books. Each participant present 1-2 books they would like to recommend or just talk about, and then we'll see where conversation leads us. Again, there is no limitation to genre or type of book you are reading. The point is that we are free to read whatever we want and then share those reading experiences, so remember to be respectful to each other. I hope to see as many of you as possible. :)

Come meet Katrine Hald and Magdalena Dzierzynska - two visionary food technology engineers, dedicated to creating sustainable change in the food system. They develop tasty, healthy, sustainable foods by using fungi fermentation. Meeting at DTU, through their studies and through the DTU Alt Protein Project, they bonded over a shared passion for sustainable alternative proteins. Katrine and Magdalena will give a 25 minute talk on alternative proteins, the DTU alt protein project and their journey building Oh My Celia! Afterwards there will be discussion and questions. I am a Ukrainian, who came to Sweden in February. In Ukraine, I taught knitting classes and made knitted clothes. I will be happy, if I can find people, who love to knit, and share my experience with them in this country. Knitting courses from basic skills to advanced techniques. Classes are held in groups (up to 10 people). One lesson lasts 90 minutes. As a knitting teacher, I have 10 years of experience. Individual approach to students makes this course interesting for both beginners and experienced knitters. Come join us for an afternoon run/jog/walk. It will be warmer than the week before and daylight longer. We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. All happens outside, so you need spare warm clothes for after the trail! Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! **Calling all queer crochet enthusiasts;** I am a visual artist located in Columbus that is searching for people who may want to gather while also participating in creating a piece of artwork. My goal is to spend time enjoying one another’s company while making a work of art that will be displayed within our community. I plan to teach people to crochet (if unfamiliar) while also inviting current fiber artists to join us for some much-needed social interaction.
