Pipeline Trek Reverse
Pipeline Trek Reverse
***Guests are not allowed; only members are permitted***. All must register on this page. **Only members on the RSVP list are permitted**. **Why is no guest allowed?** **ALL MUST READ & AGREE TO OUR DISCLAIMERS BELOW.** **Reason: Bad experience from past events: Guests often don't read our disclaimer & follow our rules, as they are not required to RSVP,** which is typically done by friends who are members of our group. => **Guest**, *please sign up as our member - it is free anyway.* Organiser: "*It has been a very long time since we hiked this before COVID times. Pipeline sections are now all fenced up, and we are no longer able to walk on them physically. Let's go check them out*". We don't know how much the trails have changed, any new obstacles or challenges, any section blocked, etc. **Do be prepared for some exhilarating scrambling, wrong way, U-turn or change of route. In a few sections, you will be under the sun. But don't expect to hold an umbrella and walk. The pipeline trail is not a walk**. If you're not sure you're up for such uncertain challenges, don't RSVP. Ⱶ●Ⱶ●Ⱶ●Ⱶ●Ⱶ●Ⱶ● **What's the plan**? The "Marsiling Pipeline Trek" is a hiking trail that follows the route of a buried water pipeline from Marsiling to the Bukit Panjang area, offering moderate difficulty with steep grassy slopes and varied landscapes, including open grasslands and forested patches. We will cover at least 10-13 km of different trails of varied terrains. Some difficult sections where hands are needed besides your legs. **Part 1: Scenic walk through Chestnut Park.** **Part 2: is the pipeline trail, a 7 KM trail** full of unpaved paths, mini hills, and of course, the titular pipes themselves. Gloves will be needed. There will be muddy trails, some bashing, U-turns, or going the wrong way etc. This is not a walk in the park. Don't join if you are not in for these. 𝗕𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 & 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗺. 𝗔 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 hiking 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹. Meet point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/4ejp9jJ2ZjVUf4he9 End Point: Marsiling **Who is Suitable**? NOT for beginners. For regular walkers/hikers who are not afraid of the sun/rain. Pipeline trek is not a walk; it involves some difficult sections as it's not a straightforward trail. Be prepared for the long distance of walking. There will not be any sweepers, so you are to keep pace with the group or find your way out. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀! Hiking attire & Gloves. At least 1.5 litres of water, sunblock, rain gear, sun protection accessories, snack/energy bars - lunch may be late. **Shoe**: Wear comfortable hiking shoes [a few sections of pipeline]. Basic first-aid for cuts. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀? Please stay informed & check this event page for updates & the final decision of the event. **Disclaimer** : Singapore Adventurous Nature-Lovers Meetup is an amateur adventure platform that welcomes all outdoor adventure seekers. Kampong Kindness Walk with Live Share and Care
Kampong Kindness Walk with Live Share and Care
Some walks strengthen the body. Some walks strengthen the soul. **Date: 30 April 2026 (Thurs)** **Venue: Area @ Main Entrance, Mushroom Cafe · MacRitchie Reservoir** **Timing: 0830hrs - 1500hrs** Our journey begins with an 11km loop through the lush trails of MacRitchie Reservoir Park, where nature reminds us that life grows stronger when it is nurtured together. After the trail, we gather for brunch at Toa Payoh West Market ,a haven for the traditional food lover — humble, timeworn, and rich with the flavours of old Singapore. Every stall feels like a tribute to heritage, comfort, and recipes worth preserving. But the real purpose of the walk begins after lunch. We continue to Christian Outreach to the Handicapped – Emmanuel Activity Centre in Toa Payoh, where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities learn daily skills, find friendship, and discover dignity in community. Founded in 1979 by missionary Reverend Alice Shae after she struggled to find support for her own daughter with disabilities, the organisation has spent more than four decades building a community of acceptance, empowerment and hope for persons with special needs. Their vision is simple but powerful: a compassionate and inclusive society where every individual — regardless of ability — is valued and given the opportunity to thrive. Depending on the number of participants, we may split into two groups — one visiting Block 171 and another visiting Block 161 (Autism Centre) — before regrouping again. This small visit is not just a tour, but an invitation. An invitation to see. An invitation to understand. An invitation to serve. Many of these centres depend greatly on volunteers who can spend time befriending clients, guiding simple activities, and offering companionship. Sometimes what they need most is not expertise — but presence. This walk hopes to plant a seed. Perhaps after the trail, the lunch, and the visit, some of us may feel a quiet calling — to return not just as visitors, but as volunteers. Because in the end, the most meaningful journeys are not measured in kilometres… but in the hearts we choose to walk beside. Please read this #1 - This is a number-controlled event. Please come only if you are on the attending list. #2 - We will move out at 0830 sharp. We are not able to wait for late-comers. #3 - As this is a limited number event, please check your calendar and make sure you can come before you RSVP. Do not change your attendance at the last minute and deny someone else who genuinely wishes to come.

Most graduates don’t have a clarity problem. They have an **exposure problem**. You’re told to “explore your options” but no one shows you what high-performance career paths actually look like. Private equity is one of them. Not just as an industry — but as a training ground for how to think about: * Businesses * Capital * Decisions that actually move money
