Čeká nás pohodový večer plný inspirace, sdílení zkušeností a networkingu. Tradičně začneme **Nowwwinkami**, a pak navážeme bohatým programem v podobně přednášek a diskuzí 😉. \-\-\-
4️⃣ **Start-up-and-down** od [Jana Sasínka](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jan-sasinek/)
Měli jsme skvělý plán a štěstí v neštěstí.
*Jan o sobě říká:* „*Bastlič devadesátkových desktopů, vývojář, architekt, lead, CTO, naivka a vyléčený misantrop. Čtvrt století v IT mě naučilo, že se nikdy nenaučím, co bych se naučit chtěl. A taky mít rád lidi od IT.“*

Business Stories with Šárka Betke — From bootstrapping to exit
Business Stories is a conversation series about how real businesses are built, operated, and eventually transitioned. The focus is on decisions, trade-offs, and long-term thinking rather than tactics or trends.
This session features **[Šárka Betke](https://www.linkedin.com/in/%C5%A1%C3%A1rka-betke-12a7a457/)**, founder of **[Vinofactum](https://www.vinofactum.wine/)**, a Berlin-based wine importer and distributor focused on natural wines from Central and Eastern Europe.
After becoming a mother, Šárka left her stable career in fintech and founded Vinofactum in 2020, growing it to a combined revenue of over €1M without external funding. She built a trusted discovery platform shaped by close, long-term relationships with producers and loyal B2B clients. The business grew through disciplined commercial decisions in a traditional and highly competitive market.
The conversation follows the full arc of the business, from the shift out of a well-paid director role to doing everything alone, through the hard trade-offs of bootstrapping and the reality of being an immigrant founder, to preparing a company for exit.
***
## Who this event is for
* Founders building bootstrapped or capital-efficient businesses
* Operators running distribution, wholesale, or product-led companies
* Entrepreneurs in food, beverage, retail, or traditional industries
* Business owners thinking about an exit in the coming years
* Investors, advisors, and ecosystem builders interested in founder-led companies
It is designed for people who value practical experience over abstract frameworks.
***
## What you will take away
* A realistic view of how a bootstrapped business evolves over time
* Insights into sourcing, pricing, and portfolio discipline
* A grounded perspective on preparing for exit without rushing growth
* Lessons on trust and relationships as a competitive advantage
* Clear examples of decisions that shaped long-term outcomes
***
## 🗓 **Agenda**
* **18:00** – Doors open & informal networking
* **18:30** – Fireside chat & open Q&A with **[Šárka Betke](https://www.linkedin.com/in/%C5%A1%C3%A1rka-betke-12a7a457/overlay/about-this-profile/)**
* **19:30** – Relaxed networking

PyData Prague #33 - The Root of All Eval
Hello Python magicians and A.I. operators!
The 33rd Prague PyData meetup will take place at **Pure Storage offices**. As usual, the talks will start at 18:30 but we encourage you to come as soon as **18:00** to enjoy the opportunity to socialize and refresh yourselves (which you can continue doing during the break and after the talks). Note that this time we will want you to sign a **non-disclosure agreement (NDA) when entering** (only to protect the Pure Storage hardware in development; the talks themselves are public of course!)
Our main goal is to build the community around Python and data and make it welcoming to people of various skills and experience levels.
⚡ If you are interested in giving a lightning talk (up to 5 minutes to present an idea, tool or results related at least to some degree to Python and/or data), please contact us before the event or at its beginning.
**📢 Evals, Benchmarks, and Guardrails: A Pythonista's Guide to Not Mixing Them Up**
**([Šimon Podhajský](https://www.linkedin.com/in/simonpodhajsky/), Waypoint)**
"I'll just write pytest tests for my LLM"—but should you? This talk untangles benchmarks, evals, and guardrails: three concepts that sound similar but map to different Python patterns. Learn why pytest CAN work for evals (with the right mindset), why guardrails aren't tests at all, and a grounded theory approach to defining what "good" actually means for your task.
**📢 Orchestration Beyond the Schedule: Real-Time Integrations with Prefect**
**([Ondřej Hlaváč](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ondrej-hlavac-24423a217/), Pure Storage)**
As Python data workflows grow in complexity, relying on simple scripts and cron jobs often leads to "silent failures" and a lack of visibility. Enter Prefect—a modern orchestration framework that empowers developers to build, observe, and manage robust pipelines using standard Python code. While Prefect is rapidly gaining traction for scheduled batch processing, we took a different path: using it to power real-time event integrations for Master Data Management.
In this talk, I will introduce what makes Prefect unique compared to legacy tools and demonstrate how we adapted it to handle immediate, event-driven flows. We will explore how its built-in resilience
capabilities—like automatic retries, state management, and detailed observability—can be repurposed to make real-time integrations as reliable as nightly ETL jobs.

Conscious Communication in Hard Conversations
Conscious Communication in Hard Conversations is a practical, skills-based workshop focused on navigating difficult or emotionally charged conversations with more clarity, steadiness, and connection.
Many conflicts don’t escalate because of what is being said, but because of what happens internally — tension, defensiveness, shutdown, or the urge to push through. This workshop supports learning how to stay present with yourself while staying in contact with others.
Through guided practice and reflection, participants explore how to speak honestly without escalating, how to listen without collapsing or fixing, and how to repair connection after moments of rupture.
What to Expect
• Practical tools for navigating conflict and sensitive topics
• Guided exercises and real-life scenarios
• Support in noticing internal reactions during hard conversations
• Practice in repair, clarity, and proportionate response
The workshop balances short theoretical inputs with embodied practice and time to integrate.
Who This Is For
• Open to all genders
• Suitable for people with and without prior communication training
• Supportive for relationships, family dynamics, and work environments
• Especially helpful if you notice patterns of avoidance, reactivity, or “I’m fine” when you’re not
No prior experience is required.
Practical Information
• Duration: 4 hours
• Price: 750 CZK
• Language: English
registration: https://vev.co/atma-community-space-praha
The workshop is facilitated in a grounded and respectful way, creating space to learn and practice without judgement or pressure.
Facilitated by William Gan, a relationship and communication coach whose work is rooted in Authentic Relating, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and conscious communication. He is known for his clear, practical approach and his ability to create spaces where people feel safe to be real — without performance or forced depth.
His facilitation helps people stay present with themselves while genuinely meeting others, even in moments of uncertainty or emotional charge.

Send your submissions by 13:30 the Thursday before the meeting (or we have a grace period during which you can submit a lower limit of 2,500 words if you submit by midnight Thursday evening). Also, if you don't have time to read through everyone's submissions, still join the meeting! We know that busy schedules don't always make finding reading time easy.
To submit, use the Dropbox folder. If you don't have access to it, send sonyalakadosch@yahoo.com your e-mail address so I can add you.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! My number in case of any confusion the day of the meeting is 737 118 530 - or on Facebook: Sonya Lano (https://www.facebook.com/sonya.lano)

* When providing written feedback (not required, but deeply welcome), save the file as a separate document on your device, then mark your changes/ feedback in the saved file. After you're finished, put the file in the "Feedback" folder under the folder for the meeting date and then under the person the feedback is for (e.g. "For Sonya").
* The submissions folder will be replaced within a week after the meeting has taken place. Feedback will be deleted within 2 months after the meeting, so if you need it longer than that, make sure to copy it to your own disk.
AI x Philosophy Reading Club: Claude's Constitution
For our first meeting, we’ll read and discuss *[Claude's Constitution](https://www.anthropic.com/constitution)*, Anthropic’s attempt to formalize the values and principles that guide the behavior of an AI system. No academic background is required, just a willingness to read, think, and share your thoughts.
It's a truly fascinating text on so many levels, I promise :) And I'm really curious what will strike YOU the most.
Please read the text in advance. The session will be discussion-based, lightly moderated, and limited to a small group to allow for real conversation.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Compensation Data
**People Analytics 101: Making Sense of Compensation Data**
Compensation data is one of the most widely used and widely misunderstood forms of people analytics.
The session will cover where compensation data comes from, including market pricing data, internal payroll data, and benchmarking sources, and how companies think about structuring and analyzing that information. We will explore how compensation data is leveraged to set salary ranges, manage internal equity, support hiring and retention, and align pay with business strategy. A portion of the session will address common data challenges and limitations, such as market noise, inconsistent job matching, and incomplete datasets, while keeping the primary focus on practical use rather than technical depth.
The session will also look ahead at where the space is going, including the growing impact of pay transparency laws, expanding pay equity requirements, and emerging regulations in the US and Europe that require organizations to report on gender and pay gaps. The goal is to give attendees a clear mental model for how compensation analytics works today and why getting it right is becoming increasingly critical.
(note: we are back at Rev1 this month!)

Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
CBusData - Ok I Want to Get Data into Fabric - Now What?
I love my job and one of the main things I do is help customers get going with any of the data technologies at Microsoft. Right now there are a lot of my customers asking about Microsoft Fabric. It's hard to weave across all the shiny new options across the Fabric landscape, let alone figure out where it fits into your organization. In this session we'll focus on answering one question - how can I get data into Fabric? We'll talk through the "it depends" options and see some of the options in live demos.
Columbus Code & Coffee 83 @ Improving
Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you!
**What to Expect at the Intro Circle**
\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~\~
Near the beginning of the event (1:30 pm), we do a standup:
* Organizer announcements, updates, and logistics
Round 1 - (7 secs max):
* Your name
* What you're working on
* What you can help others with
Round 2:
* Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too.
Round 3:
* Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool.
