**Abstracts**
**Let's create a tiny AI library together, Copilot powered**
We all want to do it. When you want to integrate AI into your tools, what do you do? You add LangChain4j or SpringAI and run with it. But do you know how these libraries interact with the AI service providers or your local llama-server instance?
These libraries aren't magic, so let's peek behind the curtain and write a tiny AI library together. This way you'll discover the REST APIs that power it all.
**Speaker**
**Johannes Bechberger,** a nerd passionate about compiler building and program analyses that enjoys cooking and works on the JVM at SAP ([LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/johannes-bechberger-381296149)), making profiling easier for everyone.

[face to face] professional communication exercise
Join this Professional Communication session — to sharpen the skills for architectural pitches, elevator pitches, interviews. This time we meet in the Monbijou park.
💡 How it works
The event is split into two parts:
1. **Communication (10 minute rounds)** – One participant answers a round of design and behavioral questions. Each other participant gets to ask him one question.
2. **Feedback Round** – The group provides feedback on communication, structure, and clarity. Constructive criticism is encouraged.
💡You will be asked:
* **Light design problems** (high-level reasoning, not code)
* **Behavioral questions** (“Tell me about yourself”, “Describe a challenge you faced...”)
No need to prepare anything in advance — just bring curiosity and an open mind.
💡Note: location is the entrance to Monbijou park

**Speakers**:
*Simon Schulte* is a Tech Lead with nearly a decade of experience building scalable backend systems across fast-paced product companies. With a background in business informatics and a passion for Golang, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, he has spent his career solving complex engineering challenges. He is particularly excited about leveraging AI and LLM workflows to eliminate the tedious, repetitive work that slows developers down — think tech debt, boilerplate, and documentation — so engineers can spend their energy on what actually moves the needle. For Simon, AI isn't about replacing developers; it's about giving them back their time.
*Daniel Peralta Madriz* is a backend engineer from Costa Rica with around 6 years of experience working with Golang, although, sadly, he's been spending most of his time lately working with Node.js :(. He is interested in distributed systems, scalability, and developer experience, and is currently experimenting with how to leverage LLMs to safely and autonomously execute repetitive tasks.
*Michael Morgen* is a Platform/infra engineer by day, runtime and network optimizations by night.

Welcome words from the organizers
7:35 PM: Talk 1: Go-ing Against the Chaos: Deterministic LLM Workflows / Daniel Peralta Madriz (Backend developer) & Simon Schulte (Techlead of Webhooks and Notifications) @ Talon.One
LLMs are powerful, but “it works most of the time” isn’t good enough for production. In this talk, we’ll walk through how to design deterministic workflows around non-deterministic models using Go. From structured iteration loops to validation steps and guardrails, you’ll learn how to move beyond prompting and start engineering reliable LLM-powered systems
8:10 PM: Announcements and break
Announcements, HR lost & found, open mic
8:30 PM: Talk 2: About Go Memory Allocator / Michael Morgen, Platform/infra engineer @ Mirantis

BitDevs Bitcoin Socratic Seminar Berlin
**BitDevs Bitcoin Socratic Seminar Berlin @ c-base Raumstation**
Join us for our monthly interactive **[Bitcoin Socratic Seminar](https://bitdevs.berlin)** in Berlin! We’ll start with pizza and beer (sponsored by [Ordimint.com](https://ordimint.com)), followed by deep-dive discussions on the most interesting *technical* developments in Bitcoin from the past month. Participation by everyone is highly encouraged!
Our goal is to foster lively discussion, knowledge sharing, and debate. In the weeks leading up to the event, participants gather topics such as:
* New research papers
* New BIPs and BOLTs
* Network statistics
* Technical blog posts
* Mailing list and Delving Bitcoin threads
* Pull requests and updates from key repos (Bitcoin Core, LND, Core Lightning, Eclair, BDK, rust-bitcoin, LDK, Electrum, …)
Each topic is briefly introduced by our moderators and then discussed before moving on. The full list of links will be published at [bitdevs.berlin](https://bitdevs.berlin) 1–2 days before the event — please review them in advance to get the most out of the discussion.
**Important details:**
* This event is highly technical — best suited for those with a solid grasp of Bitcoin internals. Curious newcomers are always very welcome, but expect in-depth conversations (see the former topics at [bitdevs.berlin](https://bitdevs.berlin)).
* Chatham House Rule applies: you may share what was discussed, but not who said it. No livestream, no photos, no recordings.
* The evening begins with food and networking; people often stay after the seminar to keep talking.
**Co-hosted by:**
* [Felix](https://x.com/FelixWeis)
* [Freerk](https://x.com/freerko)
* [Fabian](https://x.com/fjahr)

Mantra Drum Circle for Rain
Join us to drum for rain! The drum circle will be at the Guru Rinpoche statue at the entrance to the Peace Park, across the street from the temple. We will be chanting sacred mantras as we drum, praying for abundant rain to ease the drought.
All are welcome!
Please bring any percussion instruments you have - the more the merrier! If you don't have any drums, there may be extra available. Either way, you can chant along with everyone. Seating is limited so we recommend bringing a chair or blanket to sit on.
In the event of inclement weather, we usually drum as long as we can before the storm starts, or wait it out and start a little late. We hold out until the last minute to cancel so if the weather seems iffy, keep an eye on our Facebook page for announcements.
The DC region is currently experiencing moderate to severe drought. Many other regions of the world are also experiencing drought conditions. We will dedicate our prayers to bringing life-giving rain to all who need it!
NOVA Code & Coffee [164] - At FCED Venue

2. For the rest of the day, folks work in the communal space on their projects providing one another help and conversation as needed. Oh and they usually drink coffee and tea too!
That's it! Hope to see you there!
