Pride Block Party
Pride Block Party
Pride Block Party is a Queer Vienna protest and celebration. It takes place in the street. It is built by the people who show up. This is a DIY effort. No sponsors. No corporate backing. It runs on time, labor, care, and commitment. It asks for participation and shared responsibility. It asks you to help build the space you want to see. May 23 14:00 to 21:00 Spörlinggasse, 1060 Vienna Throughout the day, the street becomes a shared platform. You will find: • Workshops led by community members and organizers • Performances from local artists and collectives • Info booths from organizations working across Vienna • A kids’ corner for families and younger visitors • Vendors offering food, art, and materials • Space to meet, talk, and build connections • An after-party to close the day together All donations from the event will go directly to the Queer Mutual Aid Fund. This ensures that support reaches people in the community who need it most. This Block Party is not something you attend. It is something you help create. Participation is open. You can take part in ways that match your skills and interests. Open Dialogue – Discovering Together in Vienna
Open Dialogue – Discovering Together in Vienna
We will meet in a calm and friendly place ( Parc, Café, Restaurant) to explore together some of Jiddu Krishnamurti’s key questions about awareness, relationship, and freedom. There will be no teaching, no authority — only open dialogue and attentive listening. Everyone is welcome, whether you are familiar with Jiddu Krishnamurti or simply curious about life and self-understanding. We’ll start with an open conversation around a theme such as “Listening without judgment” or “Can thought bring clarity?” Please bring openness, curiosity, and a readiness to listen — no books or notes needed. The spirit is not to discuss “what should be,” but to observe together “what is.”

Stand Up Comedy Open Mic "Uncensored " @The.Comedy.Pub
**[🎫 Grab your tickets now and let's turn this Saturday into a day of laughter and unforgettable memories. See you there!](https://www.universe.com/events/english-stand-up-comedy-open-mic-uncensored-the-comedy-pub-tickets-T7DMVN?ref=MeetUp)** **Explore the wild side of comedy at 'Uncensored' every Saturday, 22:00 - 00:00, hosted by Homer. Dark humor takes center stage!** Welcome to **Uncensored Open Mic**, the rawest and wildest comedy stage in Vienna! Here, there are no taboos, no censorship, and no holding back—just pure, unfiltered humor. Comedians of all levels storm the stage to test their most daring, sharpest, and funniest jokes. This is stand-up without filters, without safety nets—just pure comedy chaos! ### 🤔 **What is an Open Mic?** An Open Mic is where comedy is born. This is the place where comedians try out new ideas, improvise on the spot, and test material that might one day end up on a Netflix special—or crash and burn. At **Uncensored Open Mic**, anything goes! Experience unfiltered jokes, wild stories, and raw stand-up comedy. ### 🍻 **The Comedy Pub – Vienna's Only Stand-Up Comedy Club** Located at Kettenbrückengasse 7, **The Comedy Pub** is the heart of Vienna's stand-up scene. With its cozy pub vibe, cold drinks, and laid-back atmosphere, it's the perfect place to enjoy live comedy. Whether you're a comedy veteran or a first-timer, you'll feel right at home at The Comedy Pub. ### 💡 **Why is it Free? (Donations Welcome!)** Simple: Stand-up comedy needs a live audience. It’s an art form that thrives on reaction—your laughs, gasps, and yes, even your groans help shape the show. That’s why entry is free, and donations are welcome. If you laughed, show us some love. If you didn’t…well, maybe next time! 😉 ### 🎟️ **Audience Guidelines:** To make sure everyone has a great time, we ask for a few simple things: * **Be on Time:** We start right on schedule. * **Follow Instructions:** It’s easy, we promise. * **Laugh Loudly:** Great jokes deserve great laughs. * **Donate if You Liked the Show:** It's the best way to say, "Hey, I had fun!" * **No Heckling:** You will lose. Every time. * **No Talking During the Show:** Respect the comedians and the audience. This isn’t your living room—it’s a privilege to be here. If you’re disturbing the show, the audience, or the comedians, we’ll kick you out. No refunds, no second chances. We’re here for good vibes and great comedy—don’t mess that up. ### 🎉 **Experience Stand-up Comedy Raw and Unfiltered – Join Us Every Saturday!** #UncensoredComedy #OpenMicVienna #StandUpUnleashed #ComedyWithoutLimits #TheComedyPub #RawAndReal #ViennaComedy #NoFilter #StandUpRevolution #OpenMicNight #ViennaEvents #LiveComedy #RealStandUp #NoBoundaries #UncutHumor #ComedyWithoutRules #OpenMicMonday #ViennaNightlife #DonationBased #ComedyInVienna #LocalComedians #TheComedyPubVienna #BoldAndFunny #LaughUnleashed #RawStandUp #EnglishComedyVienna #LaughOutLoud #ViennaLaughs #ComedyInTheHeartOfVienna #ExperienceTheChaos #GetReadyToLaugh
Run+B-fast
Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows, Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us! Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast! Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45. We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier. Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup. Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

Sunday Screenings in the Living Room
Sunday Screenings in the Living Room
Weekly screenings from a large archive of many of the most significant, yet seldom seen and rarely accessible cinematic masterpieces in the history of film - from its earliest beginnings to the present day. Screenings are in original language, if English, or original language with English subtitles. Films are selected democratically on the inspiration of a brief pre-screening discussion. The selected title is typically a "neglected gem" that most of us discover together for the first time. Individual taste is not a criterion and all participants are expected to put the interests of the group as a whole above personal preference or prejudice. In this sense, the emphasis is on openness, exploration, and surprise. Each screening is followed by an in-depth group discussion, led and moderated by the curator. WARNNG: FilmStory is not just about watching movies! Rather, it's a socially responsible, intellectual engagement, involving an organic approach to group study of film language, philosophy, art, history, politics, and technology. In this sense, the film is always merely the current highlight in an explorative, ongoing group discussion. **FilmStory** is a members-only series that involves a closely knit community of cinephiles. Events take place every Sunday in a comfortable, private setting with limited capacity. Participation is reserved primarily for regular members, but we're always ready to make new friends! Non-regular members may request to meet the community and, upon acceptance as a "new joiner," are welcome to participate in one event, according to space availability. New joiners are asked to make a €6 member dues contribution in advance of the requested date. New members receive a message of confirmation and the address of the Living Room in 1080 Vienna upon receipt of their dues contribution. **FilmStory** is presented and hosted by **[KulturSalon Wien](https://www.meetup.com/kultursalon-wien/)**.
Shut Up & Write!® - Sundays at Café Pierre
Shut Up & Write!® - Sundays at Café Pierre
Come write with us at Cafe Pierre every Sunday at 18:00-20:00! A message from Shut Up & Write: "Shut Up & Write hosts free, in-person and online writing events for writers all over the world. Our goal is to ensure that every writer—regardless of genre or skill level—has access to the resources, community, and accountability that they need to be successful in their personal writing goals." And what this looks like at our event: We chat and give short introductions to what we are working on at 18:00, then start writing at 18:15. Though we try to start on dot, being late isn't a problem—just find a spot and get to work! We write until 20:00 and then discuss how our writing went. From fiction to non-fiction, academic papers to poetry, applications to work-related writing—anything goes! Nothing is needed except for you to bring whatever is need to get stuff done, i.e. laptop, headphones, pen and paper, and so on. Optional socialising may happen before 18:00 and after 20:00, or you may choose to use this time to get some more done! Please do order something from the café (drink, meal, dessert, etc.) so as to keep us in their good graces!
