### **Fantastic Anatomy** In this unique workshop, we will explore and celebrate the human body in all its beautiful complexity — and then let our imagination transform it. What does a sacrum look like? Could it become a butterfly? How do hands truly connect? Can we paint the magic of a gentle touch? What lives in our hearts? Together, we will observe the body with curiosity and appreciation, and then reimagine it through colour and fantasy. This workshop is an invitation to experience the body not only as anatomy, but as a living, poetic vessel that carries us through life. Over four classes, we will explore bones, muscles, and organs in a fresh and expressive way. Using watercolour techniques that embrace fluidity and transparency, we’ll experiment with water, stains, textures, and layering to create our own artistic vision of the body. Die Spurensuche hat jedoch auch unbeabsichtigte Konsequenzen für das Wissenschaftssystem. **Dorothea Strecker** ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Als Teil des Lehrstuhls Information Management forscht sie zu Open Access. **Format** Das Edutainment-Format "Skeptics in the Pub" kommt ursprünglich aus dem UK und verbindet unterhaltsame wissenschaftliche Vorträge mit Diskussion und Socializing in entspannter Atmosphäre. The Body Under the Microscope** ***Art & Science Workshop*** Join us for a new workshop that brings art and science together, co-led by Cristina Brischetto, Molecular Biologist and of course, Lu. Together, they will guide you into the fascinating world of blood—exploring its vital role in the body and its hidden beauty under the microscope. This workshop is divided into two parts. In the first part, Cristina will introduce the science of blood in a short, engaging, and accessible way, sharing how blood cells function, travel, and work tirelessly to keep us alive. In the second part, Lu will guide participants through watercolour techniques with live demonstrations, focusing on fluidity, movement, and organic forms. **Inspired by microscopic images, participants will learn about biology while painting their own artistic interpretation of blood cells, linking artistic expression with scientific imagery.** No prior artistic experience is required—just curiosity and an open mind. On next Wednesday we a planning a short walk to a pittoresque lake in Eastern Berlin. We are going to discover the Müggelsee lake and the unique Spreetunnel under the Spree river. These scenic places are easily accessible with BVG S-Bahn and tram. Our meeting is at 18:00 at Friedrichshagen S-Bahn station, then we walk to the Spreetunnel and continue our small hike in the park at another side of Spree. We return to Friedrichshagen before dark, and those who wish could go for a beer or a dish in local bars or restaurants. For lovers of nature, cultural heritage, meeting new people and socializing. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus.
