Day-off session: Multiple games
Day-off session: Multiple games
1st May is a holiday ! So why not having a full afternoon of gaming there on that day ? If you feel likewise, then join this event! Unlike most of our events, this is a more improvised one : some attendees bring their games, and we decide on the spot what we'll play. You may also post your ideas of what you want to bring/play in the comments, to gauge interest among the participants. Outpost opens at 11:30, so you may come from that time, but you can also come a bit later if you wish. Because it's Friday, we'll need to vacate the place towards 6 or 7 PM. **Please RSVP to this event if you wish to come**. Do not come without having done so. It makes it easier to plan that way. Although you can arrive at any time, **please post your estimated time of arrival in the comments**. It will make it easier to organise the tables that way. **Don't forget to unsubscribe from the event if you aren't able to come.** Someone else might take your place in that case. Don't block it if you don't come.

ONLY ONCE A YEAR - the most powerful spiritual moment! This is a unique opportunity to evolve, to be blessed, to help humanity! **What**: The Wesak Festival can be a great opportunity to function as a unity and elevate the entire Earth's consciousness. **Why**: On different peaks of the Full Moon when the sun is in Taurus, Lord Buddha was born, achieved illumination and left the body. His energy comes back once a year, at the peak of the Full Moon when the sun is in Taurus, to bring energy and help enlighten us. This makes it a unique moment to gather and become channels of light and love. **How**: When we meditate, especially in a group, there's a much higher energy level. This brings down much more energy, which is needed to anchor light, love, and power on Earth. Remember: "let's not only talk about doing something good, but actually act in goodness." **Where/when**: 1st of May 15:00 • In Brussels: Av Louise, 505 1000 Brussels • Online, on Zoom Get the full details by registering yourself [on this link](https://email.hello.soulglow.support/c/eJx0k0uT6ioUhX9NMjsWwTzMgEE_jLmetm3ttqNOUiRsExQCAXz--lt6enKrzp3Crr3W-ljUJWfkq9fHWLNLhIMllvl0jZOLzwjGMQqxz5SkvCMtCKEGVh1FI9R5YI9aK-N-bkt17sDYluvSXTUQ2kBXXx-nzAcSJEmcjtIEBT5IykUpwVrawF284pOF-uD9eH7l8-yyFnEU_Uw9VinXgvGhO3GjOgmdI9oodqwdV53fEoYhGqG4StIwxFWcxjQCPAzZKKRpQofM5wSjR5AQoSBCwSBNKUriXVyxKt5FwLwQ_U82bkvbUgOs_Em5M0qWlDED1pYGdrR2ygAjzhzBF6R1Tltv-OThzMMZ1XwggLJadR3cB9t-UCvp4ezMWQPOw1ml1IF3jYezaDEaTYPDW7U20w3XeL7eIl_U5R8QvHNgOirICmeWTb4P68DD2e9k9TpevDUSpf0kmd94s5SfzQavvteTPL9Vcmsv12KLntEY2Gb7NPvsh5WHs0Mc786h7M_z8bpPhQ7Dl0_eFx5-np365vB7K4vzSXk4-2BFvn0R9fZW3KZLHXCzk702q-K95jBbibvx7245PKULeBcqOEUvqwu7W3uPItRvxl_OfGT3vV-1q-bsY9oWmr8955NlECCxCWbGdu1tlJi6GuXVm943rxXYfZ7H15nsDRJ71NKCbf4JveGrL9Sjrek055f4tan3T_RcFcvhIv_0JbhWMUI197VRJ87AkP_A9w3ZHwWnHa3N8eaFqLmTvT-Ib9XR1EAeqH9xe_p1VuYAxnfkrvhXOUdqJcu__htHwJV_Snsi-N8AAAD__zxHKac). Invite your friends to join! With gratitude and kindness, Juliana ‐‐-------------------------------------------- UNE SEULE FOIS PAR AN — le moment spirituel le plus puissant ! Dinant loop (25 km)
Dinant loop (25 km)
As the other days of the long weekend look somewhat rainy, here another suggestion for the sunny Friday - a hike starting and ending in the picturesque town of Dinant. We will get a warm-up climb out of town along the quarry of Leffe, until the path levels out and takes us on a big loop on top of the plateau, with mostly open landscape, fields, meadows and apparently even some wineyards. Expect wide views, some small forests and a few pretty villages along the way. Finally we will steeply descend back into Dinant, where we can find treats for all tastes before heading home. The number of participants is limited to 20, so please manage your registration responsibly: only sign up if you really intend to come and cancel as soon as you know you can’t (this also goes for people on the waiting list!). We will try to keep close to an average moving speed of 5km/h. We will walk both on paved and unpaved roads. I’ve not tested this track beforehand, so it’s possible that there are some mistakes in the planning (i.e. it may become longer ;-). ●●You can find the gpx track here: **Komoot:** https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2797070348?share_token=ampZcY2zXOi42SDm4snE9c1mxHKcu56TO4PNySvYJnl00cHCmq&ref=wtd **Wikiloc:** https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/dinant-loop-261693472 ●●Meeting point: We meet at 9.10 in Bruxelles Schuman train station in front of the ticket machines. Our train (IC 2509 to Dinant) leaves from platform 2 at 09.23. We'll arrive in Dinant at 10.49. ●● Train ticket: One way ticket is 11.40€ or 6.80€ with train+ ●● Trains back to Brussels: Direct trains from Dinant to BXL are every hour at XX.13, with an additional connection at XX.38 with change in Namur every two hours. ●● Specifics: Distance: ± 25 km Elevation gain: 420 m Net walking time: ± 5.5 h Weather forecast: sunny and warm. In the unlikely case of too bad weather, I may cancel a hike, even few hours before the event. If this must happen, I will of course update the Meetup website and send out an email to those registered. So it is important to have access to either the Meetup website and/or your emails. ●● What to bring: * Comfortable hiking clothes * Comfortable hiking shoes * water + food for the breaks * tick/mosquito repellent * Compeed for blisters * some small money for the drinks ●● Basic rules: Please RSVP only if you really intend to come. And if your plans change, update your RSVP asap, even hours before the walk. This is basic courtesy towards others. Repeated late cancellations are not well considered (at all). No-shows are even worse. Do not show up for a hike unless you are on the “going” list. ●● Acknowledgement of member responsibility and release of liability: You are responsible for yourself and should be fit enough if you want to take part. As the participation in the events is strictly voluntary and you freely choose to join, it is the responsibility of individuals participating to ensure that they are fit enough and have adequate coverage to protect themselves. By signing up for this event, you agree to release the organisers from any responsibility and liability.

Cinematek : Eat Drink Man Woman
Cinematek : Eat Drink Man Woman
**Cinematek : Eat Drink Man Woman** 03/05 @ 16h30 Ang Lee’s generous, touching Eat Drink Man Woman focuses on master chef Chu and his three daughters (all of them living at home) as they confront seismic changes in their lives. The film is the third instalment in Ang Lee’s family trilogy, known unofficially (and ironically) as the Father Knows Best series, largely because venerable actor Sihung Lung (whom Lee lured out of retirement) played a father in each film. Constructed around a series of all-in family dinners, where each of the characters eventually (very reluctantly) drops a bombshell announcement, Eat Drink hinges on the tension between modernity and tradition, family and personal freedom, and, especially, the necessity of confiding and sharing. With the profound empathy that typifies his best work, Lee drops us into the drama without much explanation and carefully disrupts our assumptions about the characters ― and the narratives they construct about themselves. By the end, no one is exactly who we thought they were at the beginning. It’s driven by a formidable cast, including Yang Kuei-Mei as Jia-Jen, the eldest daughter and a devout Christian; Wu Chien-Lien as airline executive Jia-Chien (who has the most problematic relationship with her father); Yu-Wen Wang as the youngest daughter Jia-Ning; and legendary actor director Sylvia Chan as Jia-Jen’s best friend Jin-Rong. Warning: plan for a late meal. Lee’s masterful montages of Chu and Jia-Chien cooking are as mouthwatering and hunger-inducing as the noodles in Jûzô Itami’s Tampopo. Saturday Board Game Night
Saturday Board Game Night
Hello and welcome. We'll be playing some good games suited for newcomers and old members alike. Examples of games that we might play on an evening like this include: Diamant, Metro, Courtisans, Trails, Camel Up, Sushi Go, Spooks, Welcome To..., Between 2 Cities, Cartographers, Reptile Tank, and much more. If you're new and none of these titles mean anything to you, don't worry! These games are pretty easy to pick up as you play. And if you have a short and easy-going game you'd like to play, bring it along and we might play it. Hope to see you then! \~\~\~ **FAQ** for new members "Do I have to RSVP?" Yes, please. It helps us anticipate how many people are coming and consequently how many games we'll need. "Can I just join you in playing games?" Yes, absolutely. "Is there a fee?" No, it's free to join and play. However, please get at least one drink from the bar, as the hostel provides this space to us for free with the expectation that people buy drinks from them. "What kind of games do you play?
" Most games in our collection are light to medium-ish in complexity, fairly short, and pretty easy to pick up once you know the rules. We don’t tend to play heavy eurogames or wargames as they take up too much time and often require an explanation of an hour or more. We also don’t tend to play party games. "Do the games belong to the hostel?"
Nope! All of the games present are owned by members who bring games along from their own private collections. Please be sure to treat every game with care and respect. "How do I know which games you're going to play and which I can join?" We'll usually loosely mill around and decide on games on the moment, depending on who takes the initiative, so it really depends on what's available to us and who wants to play which game. Generally, we'll split up in groups, play a game or two, reconvene, and split up in different groups to play a different game. "Do I have to have experience in playing games?" No, usually we'll play some pretty easy-to-learn games that you'll get the hang of in no time. And should you get a taste for slightly more complex games, we have those too! "Can I bring a game of my own?" Yes, absolutely. Just maybe don't bring games that are too complex and might take more than 1 hour to play. Also, don't bring Cards Against Humanity. "Should I bring snacks for everybody?" No, but thank you for offering! "Can I bring snacks and drinks for myself?" You can bring your own food into the hostel but, as mentioned, they do expect us to buy our drinks at the bar. Also, they appreciate it if we clean up after ourselves, i.e. bring back empty glasses and bottles to the bar, put back chairs in their place, throw away trash, etc... "Do I have to speak English?" We prefer it if you could because not everyone in the group speaks Dutch fluently but we're pretty relaxed about it so don't worry too much if you're not that confident in your English speaking skills. "Do you do this every week?
" Yes. We haven’t missed a board game night since 1977! "Can the Eye see me?" Yes, the Eye sees ALL, but don't worry, it's pretty benign and just wants to know if you're winning or not. ️👁️

Spirit Walk - Oud-Heverlee (13,4km) - Glorious hills and fish watching
Spirit Walk - Oud-Heverlee (13,4km) - Glorious hills and fish watching
Spirit Walks are unique nature hikes meant to lift up anyone's spirit, in a friendly, meaningful and even partially therapeutic way. It's usually a lot of fun, since we value authentic connection, share a healthy lunch, keep a positive/dynamic mindset, while maintaining safe, vulnerable space for whatever wants to come in the moment. We value an adventurous spirit, creativity, deep connection and authenticity. In a spontaneous way, it could happen that we stop and learn about a medicinal plant, do a somatic (stretch) exercise, do a silent meditation, an authentic relating game or a creative expression, all with the goal of coming back to ourselves, reconnect with others and get absorbed by the wonderful and powerful healing aspects of our surrounding nature. As a experienced trauma- and burn-out therapist, Ken knows very well how to create a feel-good, nurturing and healing atmosphere in a natural, unassuming way. It can bring back joy and energy in someone's life. You'll never feel alone. For this particular hike, we will experience the wonderful nature reserve the 'Doode Beemde' and its beautiful surroundings, starting and coming back at Oud-Heverlee station. It's nto a very difficult hike, nothing to stress about, it's around 13km. There's a few communication guidelines to keep in the back of your minds during our hikes: This is supposed to be inclusive, fun & a bit adventurous. We love some deep talks, but try to avoid any polarizing topics, gossip and complaining. Be respectful to each others' viewpoints and try not to judge too openly. We should be able to get back at the station around 16h45h approx. I'm personally going by car, if others of you have space in their car, please propose your free seats in the comment section of this hike. You're responsible for your own safety and well-being down the road. In case something happens (you get lost, you can't proceed,...), we will do our common best to find a solution, but don't expect the whole group to become dependent. Take care and see you soon! Ken
SUNDAY Coffee Morning - 10:00 @Café de Voyageurs
SUNDAY Coffee Morning - 10:00 @Café de Voyageurs
Hi everyone, This coffee morning event is @ Café de Voyageurs! Sunday, 3 May 2026, from 10:00 - 12:30. It's limited to 25 attendees. Therefore, please, cancel if you can't join anymore. Café de Voyageurs opened its doors about 10 months ago. Dalila, the owner, is one of the most friendly hosts that I have met in Brussels in the past 5 years. She has given her café an African feeling & atmosphere as she is Algerian herself. The Instagram channel: https://www.instagram.com/cafe.des.voyageurs/ **The address is:** Café de Voyageurs 274 Chaussee de Wavre 1050 Ixelles *** 1. The **prime time** of the event is **10:30 - 12:30**. That's when most people will be there. 2. When you enter the gallery, it's either on the right-hand side or left-hand side of its hallway, depending which entrance you take. 3. If you intend **to join past 12:00** (high noon), then there is no need to register. Just come and join! 4. **DON'T forget to cancel** if you can't join! 5. **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))** **As always, feel free to follow us on INSTAGRAM!** [https://instagram.com/weekendmorningcoffee?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==](https://instagram.com/weekendmorningcoffee?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==) **THE STRUCTURE of THE EVENT:** * I will post the event on Saturday/Sunday evening for the following Saturday. * I send out a reminder to everyone on Friday. * There is sometimes a waiting list. * In case RSVP is closed (once there are 10-15 people on the waiting list), I might reopen it on Friday, depending on the number of cancellations in the meantime. * **For everyone on the waiting,** please check your status and messages on Friday evening the latest. I message everyone on the waiting list on Friday. * **Please, move to "not going" AS SOON AS you know that you can't come anymore, that includes everyone who is on the waiting list.** **IMPORTANT:** * **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))** * When you register yourself, be careful not to register accidentally a +1 guest (unless you bring a guest). It happens very often. * If you have any questions then, message me. *** **A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:** *In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.* *Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.* *I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.* *In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.* **THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON Saturday!**

Choose Your Movie: THE SHEEP DETECTIVES vs HOKUM at Cinemark Stoneridge!
Join us as we get together to see your choice of two VERY different movies – one sweet and wholesome – the other a terrifying folklore horror! Option 1 is the fun whodunnit-action-comedy-mystery led by Hugh Jackman, THE SHEEP DETECTIVES! Option 2 is the top-reviewed supernatural-horror-thriller starring Adam Scott, HOKUM! Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event: THE SHEEP DETECTIVES: Every night a shepherd reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it. The film is directed by Kyle Balda and take a look at this ensemble cast: Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau and Emma Thompson and the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein and Rhys Darby. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyZI5oM6hWk HOKUM: In this film, a horror writer visits an Irish inn to scatter his parents' ashes, unaware the property is said to be haunted by a witch. It is written/directed by Damian McCarthy stars Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh and Austin Amelio. Hokum premiered to rave reviews at this year’s SXSW Festival and is being release by Neon. It is earning a stellar 97% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which calls it, “A classic haunted house story enriched with atmospheric folklore and perfectly-timed shocks!” TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVCIK_MPyhc PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing of both films and will meet inside the theater lobby about 20 minutes before showtime. If the showtimes work out, we’ll try to get both groups together for a bite before the shows! Complete details and showtime will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer. Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
