Esoteric Astrology Book Reading Group
Esoteric Astrology Book Reading Group
Join Theosophist Margaret Harris, PhD, in her continuing series of discussions, digging deeper into Astrology every Friday from 4:00pm - 5:30pm WHO AM I? It is not the fear of God' which is 'the beginning of wisdom' but the knowledge of SELF which is Wisdom Itself .. MAN KNOW THYSELF" (Blavatsky,1901, p.15, Studies in Occultism) KNOW THYSELF In this supportive weekly group, through an Astrological lens and connecting with our own birth maps, we explore books that can help us explore paths towards our spiritual unfoldment. Through a variety of texts, from both Theosophists and Astrologers, we look at the energetic connections we have with the heavens and how they can assist us as we journey from our personality selves to our spiritual selves. Various knowledges from participants are also welcomed and encouraged as we continue to work with the 3rd object of the Theosophical Society: "To investigate unexplained laws of Nature and the powers latent in the human being" The Society is a registered charity and these events are free, but donations are welcome.

Discussion will involve sharing stories from our lives which contribute to a growing understanding and confidence in our lives. Each session is free, but donations are welcome.

Readings in Applied Theosophy
Readings in Applied Theosophy
Join us every first and third Saturday of the month to learn about Theosophical principles and how we may apply them to our lives. From its inception in 1875, the Theosophical Society encouraged study of the Ageless Wisdom to discover enduring religious Truth and to make Brotherhood a living reality in the world. *“For real Theosophy IS ALTRUISM, and we cannot repeat it too often. It is brotherly love, mutual help, unswerving devotion to Truth.”* HP Blavatsky, Our Cycle and The Next, 1889. *The mission of the Theosophical Society is to serve humanity by cultivating an ever-deepening understanding and realization of the Ageless Wisdom, spiritual Self-transformation and the Unity of all life.* Resolution passed by the General Council of The Theosophical Society in 1924. According to these principles, a theosophic life is not just theoretical, but must also be practical, indeed must be a life of service. Amid the noise and conflict of the modern world, what might be our role, as individuals and as a Theosophical Society? Through a range of books and Theosophical pamphlets, we will look to both exoteric, widespread social principles and to more esoteric, spiritual principles for discussion and guidance.

Colour & its Many Benefits
Colour & its Many Benefits
Hosted by the Melbourne Theosophical Society and conducted by the Scottish Medium and Colour Therapist Eleanor Walker, this interactive event will include a talk about the seven Spectrum Colours, and the benefit of Colour Light or Silk Therapy for people and animals. Knowledge of colour enhances our Spiritual and Human connection; it Unites us with its simplicity. Aboriginal people use the colours of the Earth to create their history through images and dreamtime stories and colour was used in ancient times by the Romans and Egyptians who would use colour capsules to help heal people. Although Colour Therapy is a stand alone modality it is best used as a complimentary treatment in conjunction with conventional medical practices and is now used in the hospitals and hospices. Colour affects our mood, our emotions and our bodily faculties. We can drink it, eat it, wear it, decorate with it, include it in Psychic or Mediumship work. Each day of the week has a colour associated with it, numerology includes colour. The benefits are well worth exploring. Eleanor Walker was born in Airdrie, Scotland. From an early age she was always colouring in and was fascinated with colours. She found she would have what she called “knowings” where she would blurt out information that she could not possibly have known. This upset her Mother as she did not want her to be seen as different. As the years passed she developed her knowledge of Colour and qualified as a Colour Therapist eventually gaining a Diploma in Colour Therapy. Eleanor discovered her knowings were in fact coming from Spirit. She developed her Mediumship with the renowned Scottish Spirit Medium Gordon Smith completing his Intuitive Studies course. She has served Spirit around the UK, Germany, Northern Ireland, Finland, the USA, the Netherlands and Australia, facilitating workshops on the benefits of Colour for healing as well as every- day use and teaching students how to include colour with their Mediumship. Eleanor is the Co-Facilitator of The Scottish Spiritualist Seminar which is held each year at Stirling University. She is a member of the International Spiritualist Federation and has conducted short workshops at their seminars. She is also the author of two books “No Proof Required, Embracing my life as a Medium” and “Through Darkness to Light , Grief; a Medium’s Viewpoint”.

Moomba Parade and lunch at Southgate food court with Christian Gatherings
Moomba Parade and lunch at Southgate food court with Christian Gatherings
Hi guys, Bit of a last minute thing but if any of you would like to come along to the Mommba Parade, feel free to come along and join Christian Gatherings. The Moomba Parade is one of the highlights of the Moomba Festival. It features a massive array of floats, dance troupes, community performance groups. The Parade starts at the Shrine of Remembrance, runs along Birdwood Avenue and finishes at Linlithgow Avenue. We’ll meet at the Australian in front of the Australian Hellenic Memorial at 10:10am (Look for a very tall man in with a dark blue hat and head down to get our positions to watch the parade at around 10:30am. We’ll watch the parade (about 1 hour) before heading down to the Southgate food court for a casual lunch at around midday. As it the custom with Christian Gatherings, at the lunch, we will have a short conversation with a Christian theme. Given that this is Labour day (celebration of the 38-hour work week), I thought we would have a conversation about work and rest. So the topic is: “What do you feel about work and rest? What do you feel is the role of work in our lives and the role of rest in our lives?” What to bring: · hat/sunscreen (weather prediction is warm, shade is limited whilst watching the parade) · snacks/drink/water etc. for yourselves whilst watching the parade · money etc. to buy your lunch (optional) at Southgate food court

Crafting runes, from clay.
Crafting runes, from clay.
We will be doing homemade runes with clay. It can take a bit of processing. To let them dry and paint. But I hope every one enjoys them. ^^ ## Rune Making Class **Carve Meaning. Shape Intention. Create Something That Lasts.** Runes are more than symbols. They are an ancient alphabet rooted in early Germanic and Norse traditions, historically used for writing, protection, divination, and marking objects with intention. Each rune carries layered meaning. Strength. Protection. Prosperity. Movement. Transformation. In this Rune Making Class, you will create your own handcrafted rune set while learning what each symbol represents and how it has been used across history. ### What Runes Are Used For Runes have traditionally been used for: • Divination and guidance • Protection markings on tools, weapons, and homes • Meditation and self reflection • Setting intention and personal focus • Symbolic storytelling Whether you approach them from a historical, spiritual, or symbolic perspective, runes are tools for reflection and intention. *** ## Who This Is For This class is for: • Fantasy and history enthusiasts • Writers and world builders • Spiritual practitioners • Makers who enjoy hands on craft • Anyone drawn to ancient symbolism No prior experience is required. *** Runes were once carved into clay, wood, bone, and stone to carry intention into the world. Now you will make your own with clay. Seats are limited. Reserve your place and create something timeless.
