Neurodivergent Workshop with Futurium: What the future holds
This interactive workshop offers participants a unique opportunity to actively engage with and reflect upon the possibilities of tomorrow.
**Organized in collaboration with [Futurium](https://futurium.de/en)**[,](https://futurium.de/en) the session is designed to be participatory, blending reflection, discussion, and creative hands-on activities.
**Location:** **[Futurium](https://maps.app.goo.gl/uqRAq7npeFKubvbu5)**, see the workshop room on the map attached in this event.
๐ธ We will be documenting the event. However, we will fully anonymize all participants by covering faces with stickers in the final media. If youโd prefer not to be in any shot at all, you are welcome to step away briefly during those moments.
**What to expect:**
* **Introduction (approx. 20 minutes)**
We begin with a journey into the pastโexamining historical postcards from the 19th and early 20th centuries that depict imagined futures. Participants are invited to explore and discuss these images together, considering what feels surprising, what turned out to be accurate, and how past visions compare to the technologies we know today.
**Optionally,** we will also screen a short video featuring young people from 1966 sharing their predictions for the year 2000โoffering an additional prompt for reflecting on how future visions are shaped by their historical and cultural context.
* **Interactive Exchange (approx. 20 minutes)**
Next, participants take part in a guided โopinion swapโ exercise using prompt cards. This dynamic format encourages movement, discussion, and the exchange of diverse perspectives within the groupโmaking space for a wide range of voices and viewpoints.
* **Creative Activity (approx. 20 minutes)**
To close, the group will collaborate on designing an โobject from the future.โ This hands-on exercise invites participants to imagine possible developments and express their ideas creativelyโturning abstract speculation into tangible, shared visions.
**About the Organizers:**
This workshop is organized by[ Futurium](https://futurium.de/en) in collaboration with the Berlin Neurodivergent Community. Please keep in mind that all of berlin neurodivegrent community organizers are neurodivergent volunteers who contribute their time, energy, and resources to make this event possible. We kindly ask for your patience, kindness, and mutual respect throughout the sessionโwe are here to learn, share, and create together in a supportive environment.
We look forward to welcoming you and exploring the futureโtogether!

Afterwork cultural Picnic @ Monbijoupark
Hi everyone,
Berlin Lingua Hubโs **Afterwork Cultural Picnic** is back, finally!!! Twice a month, weโll meet at **Monbijou Park** for a relaxed evening of **good conversations, new connections, and cultural exchange**.
**Whatโs the idea?**
We keep it simple: **bring your favorite drinks or snacks**, enjoy a laid-back picnic, and connect with people from all over the world. Whether youโre new in Berlin or have been here for years, this is a great way to meet interesting people in a relaxed atmosphere.
**What about languages?**
This is not a structured Sprachcafรฉ, but since Berlin Lingua Hub is all about languages and cultural exchange, youโll naturally find people speaking different languages. Feel free to practice, mix languages, or simply enjoy great conversations in any language youโre comfortable with.
**When & Where?**
๐ **Monbijou Park** โ Meeting point is at the west right corner of the park, alongside the Oranienburger Str. You'll see some Berlin Lingua Hub signs.
๐ก **From 18:00 onwards** โ open-end, stay as long as you like
Since this is an **outdoor event**, itโs **weather-dependent**. If any changes happen, weโll update you on the same day.
Looking forward to welcoming you all for **a great mix of cultures, languages, and good vibes!**
If you're lost, contact Chris! He'll be happy to help you find the place :)
**See you soon!**

Get off at Potsdamer Platz by S1, S2 or S25 and walk to the designated meeting spot.
2\. U\-Bahn \(subway\):
Alternatively you can get off at Potsdamer Platz by U2 and just walk 5 min straight to the park.
3\. Bus:
If you change at mainstation you can take the M41 or M85 to
S Potsdamer Platz /Voรstr. and walk to the park.
**2.) Walk & Talk through Tiergarten** (the best part imho). During these weird times it essential to connect with nature and like minded people. You will feel instantly energized and an inner calmness afterwards.

*Who is this meetup for:*
1\. Internationals who want to practice German or any other language\.
2\. Germans who want to improve their language skills\.
3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\.
*What you can expect:*
1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\.
2\. A Walk & Talk to break the ice\.
3\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\.
*important:* This event is at the same time and meeting location like the "Asian Languages & Culture Exchange ๆฅๆฌ่ช, ํ๊ตญ์ด, ๆฑ่ฏญ" one. So I'm basically organizing 2 events at the same time which means that you can expect way more people than on the list.
***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
โA personโs name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.โ - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

Tea and desserts may seem simple on their own, but together they create endless possibilities. Weโd love to invite you to discover these unique flavours with us. โจ

Chill Volley @ Beach61 โ๏ธ๐ณ
Join us for chill outdoor beach volley! ๐ โ๏ธ ๐๏ธ ๐ป
This event is for everyone who enjoys chill games and is not a *complete* beginner (A1.5+). We play 3v3 (or 4v4) with beach rules. There are no trainers at this event. Register via [the simultaneous event](https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/) for higher-level 2v2 matches (F1+).
After playing, you can join us for socials with drinks and snacks at the bar area. We often play a social deduction game, which you're also welcome to join.
It's recommended that you come 10 minutes early so you have time to change and find the fields. If it is your first time, 15 minutes might be even better.
You can join whatever court you like and move between courts during the event. We self-organize, so once you finish a game, you can start a rematch, mix with another court, or take a break as you see fit. Upon arrival, join the warmup happening on one of the courts.

**Venue**: We play at [Beach 61](https://beach61.de/). There are toilets and showers, but no lockers. There is a bar that sells drinks and snacks.
**Payment**: You pay in advance via Meetup. Payment via PayPal or Urban Sports Club is not possible.
**Refunds**: The venue does not provide refunds. Thus, we cannot refund you either, even in cases where the event is canceled due to bad weather. If you know you can't make it in advance, you can try selling your spot to someone else via WhatsApp or the comment section. You get a full refund if the event gets canceled due to poor attendance.
