6:00-6:30 PM Arrivals and Networking
6:30-7:00 PM Tech Talk #1
7:00-7:30 PM Tech Talk #2
7:30-8:30 PM Networking & Wrap-up
8:30 PM Tear-down and Departures
**Talk #1:** *I Built a $15/Month AI Advisory Board (And It Called Me Out)* \- Jacintha Kurniawan\, Co\-founder and AI Product Manager at Bridge AI Knowledge
Using commodity tools, I built a multi-agent AI system for <$20/month and created a "CEO-in-the-loop" architecture: agents collect data, detect patterns, then four RAG-based advisors to argue with each other in Discord threads. I read their debates, make decisions, and an executor agent builds my calendar. My key insight was that if advisory agents agree, the system is useless; disagreement is the feature.
This talk breaks down the full technical architecture, the cost model that will scales from $15/month to production, why I designed agents to argue instead of agree, and the counter-intuitive discoveries (why the first 15 minutes matter more than the next 4 hours).
**Talk #2:** *Building Agents That Know: Knowledge-First Design for AI Systems* \- Andrew Berry\, Sr\. Data Scientist at Bell Media
Most AI agent projects start in the wrong place: with tools and architecture. This talk inverts that approach and shows how reliable agents emerge from well-designed knowledge and context, not bigger models. We'll explore simple patterns for structuring what an agent knows, what it needs right now, and what should persist over time, and why simpler context design often beats complex architectures.
**About the Speakers:**
[Jacintha Kurniawan ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jacintha-kurniawan/)is a co-founder and AI Product Manager at Bridge AI Knowledge, where she designs and ships AI agent systems for regulated industries, creative agencies, and retail. Her work focuses on translating ambiguous, high-stakes requirements into production-ready AI in environments where trust, compliance, and adoption are critical. She is a TEDx speaker on the Economy of Trust and hosts The Deep Dive Lab, a podcast featuring 50+ conversations with AI leaders, ethicists, and operators on building pragmatic, responsible AI.
Jacintha holds an MBA and brings a cross-functional background spanning AI startups, data analytics at Canadian Tire, and supply chain logistics. Her recent work includes leading an automated conformity platform for a Canadian real estate regulator—processing 500K+ transactions across 200+ agencies while maintaining Law 25 compliance—and developing AI products that measurably reduce operational effort. She recently led product and technical development of Eterna, a voice AI agent for peri- and menopausal health that won first place at a hackathon by prioritizing empathy-driven conversational design.
[Andrew Berry](https://www.linkedin.com/in/berrya/) is a Senior Data Scientist II at **Bell Canada**, where he works on applied AI and agentic systems across conversational AI, intelligence platforms, and context-aware automation. His work focuses on building reliable, production-ready AI systems and exploring how knowledge, context, and system design shape trustworthy AI behavior in real-world enterprise environments.
Andrew is also an experienced podcast host and public speaker, having founded and hosted *The Pandemic Job Hunt* and *The Little Big Ideas Show*. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University with a major in Information Systems and a finance concentration, and has completed formal training in data science and product management, bringing a rare blend of technical depth, business context, and communication to his work in AI.

TOPHATs Winnie the Pooh at 100, Ukrainian Museum, Bakka Books and Harbord House
Join Lawrence, your top hatted host, for an afternoon of craft beer and local food at Harbord House, followed by a visit to my favourite fiction book store, Bakka, then the Ukrainian Museum, and then Lillian H. Smith library to see their exhibit on Winnie the Pooh.
We will meet-up at the Harbord House for some lunch and craft beer. I like this airy restaurant, with its big windows while I dine on their delicious fig, pear and goat cheese salad.
https://harbordhouse.ca/
124 Harbord St, Toronto, ON M5S 1G8
At 1 pmish, we will walk to Bakka Books, my favourite Sci-fi and Fantasy book store, where those who work there offer reviews of some of the works presented. This is how I found such cherished Canadian authors, such as Charles de Lint and Robert J. Sawyer. Perhaps, you too, will discover something here.
https://www.bakkaphoenixbooks.com/
84 Harbord St, Toronto, ON M5S 1G5
At 1:30 pmish, we will head south on Spadina to the Ukrainian Museum to see two exhibits, the Kosiv Bazaar and a display of traditional textiles.
https://www.umcontario.com/
620 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON M5S 2H4
After visiting here, we will take a selfie with the prominent statue of Volodymyr the Great Monument.
Our last stop will take us past the impressive Daniels Building, a significant neo-Gothic landmark beautifully integrated with modern sustainable architecture.
As we approach the Lilian H. Smith library, we will be greeted by two guardians. Then we will take the lift upstairs to Osborne Collection of Early Children's Books to see Winnie the Pooh at 100.
You can take photos, though no flash.
https://tpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/events/6928c74394cbff62002873a4
239 College St 4th floor, Toronto, ON M5T 1R5
Afterwards, we can see the Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation & Fantasy which is showcasing early pulp magazines.
Meet & Greet + Impact Discussion 🌱
This will be our very first **Justice for Animals** meet-and-greet, and it’s meant to be a relaxed, welcoming way to connect in person ☕
We’ll get to know one another, chat about why animal welfare matters to us, and talk casually about how this group can support local animal rescues in Toronto in realistic, meaningful ways. No pressure, no heavy planning — just good conversation, shared values, and community.
If you care about animals and want to meet like-minded people in a positive, supportive space, you’re very welcome to join. Looking forward to meeting you all!
❄️🌲 High Park Winter Wander + Cozy Lunch 🍲✨
❄️ High Park Winter Wander + Cozy Lunch ✨
March in Toronto is a mystery… it could be sunshine and birds chirping ☀️ or a little crisp and snowy ❄️ — and honestly? That’s part of the adventure.
Let’s get out of the house, breathe in that fresh winter air, stretch our legs, and enjoy one of Toronto’s most beautiful parks together.
**High Park** is the city’s largest public park — full of winding trails, little hills (yes, there are a few! ), open green space, squirrels plotting world domination ️, a mini zoo, lakefront views, and some of the prettiest natural scenery in the city.
This isn’t a power hike.
This isn’t a marathon.
This is a **fun, light, social winter wander** — about an hour of walking, chatting, laughing, and just being outside together. ️
And then?
We warm up at the **Grenadier Café**, right in the heart of the park, for a cozy lunch. ☕ Nothing hits quite like a warm meal after a brisk walk.
Fresh air + good conversation + comfort food.
That’s the vibe. ✨

A combination of offstage and onstage Elvis, comes a film that “befits the magnitude of Elvis as a performer but also offers deeper revelations of his humanity and inner life." It is written/directed by Baz Luhrmann (ELVIS, MOULIN ROUGE, THE GREAT GATSBY) and stars the legendary Elvis Presley!
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmqWusmzp0k
BUZZ AND ACCLAIM: The film screened at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival where it was the runner up in the category People’s Choice Award for Documentaries. Next Best Picture says, “Certain to energize longtime fans and generate new ones for generations to come, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert is a masterwork of montage.” And according to the NY Post, whether you have a room in the house devoted to Elvis or not, this truly “Epic” concert film is an energizing experience!”
PLAN: We’ll plan for a pre-show bite at nearby BRAVO around 5 or 5:30pm followed by a 7pm-ish showing on one of their larger screens. Once showtime is announced, advance ticket purchase is advised. Please list your seat number in the Comments below. Exact showtime and meeting details will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer.
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
Rhino Barn Tour @ The Wilds
**Summary**
For this event, we will do the [Rhino Barn Tour](https://www.thewilds.org/rhino-barn-tour) at [The Wilds](https://www.thewilds.org/), a ten-thousand acre conservation center in Muskingum County. It is the largest such center in North America and one of the largest in the entire world.
During this tour, we'll visit The Wilds' rhino herd in their state-of-the-art heated barns and learn how The Wilds' animal management team takes care of one of the largest herds of rhinos outside of Africa and Asia.
**The date and time of this tour**
We will be doing the 1:00 p.m. [Rhino Barn Tour](https://www.thewilds.org/rhino-barn-tour) on Saturday, February 28. The tour is scheduled to last 90 minutes.
**What you need to do to attend**
Signing up here on Meetup will not get you into The Wilds for the tour. You must go out to The Wilds' [website](https://www.thewilds.org/) and [buy a ticket](https://www.thewilds.org/rhino-barn-tour).
Please [purchase your ticket](https://www.thewilds.org/rhino-barn-tour), then sign up here on Meetup so I know how many to expect.
**Attendance cap**
There are only eight total slots/tickets available for this tour. As I obviously have already bought one of the tickets, that leaves seven spaces for everyone else.
If you are interested in this event, I urge you to [buy a ticket](https://www.thewilds.org/rhino-barn-tour) at The Wilds' website as soon as possible. Since their website is obviously public, nothing prevents other people having nothing to do with *GOhio!* from buying their own tickets, thereby potentially taking an available slot away from you.
**Additional notes on attendance**
I have now run several events at The Wilds. While the location of The Wilds and the pricing of the tickets generally leads to small turnouts, the people who have gone have all enjoyed it and were glad they went.
If you've never been to The Wilds and you like zoos or animals at all, you are likely to find any tour at The Wilds to be a rewarding experience.
**Tickets and pricing**
[Tickets](https://www.thewilds.org/rhino-barn-tour) for this tour are $95, or $76 if you're a Wilds' member. I've posted screen shots, below, to help you be sure you're buying tickets for the correct event.
Wilds' memberships pay for themselves if you go to The Wilds at least twice a year, and [Columbus Zoo members](https://www.columbuszoo.org/membership) get a discount on memberships to The Wilds. I will always run at least two events a year at The Wilds.
Tickets for all Wilds' tours must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance of the actual tour.
**Cancellations and refunds**
Per The Wilds' [Cancellation Policy](https://www.thewilds.org/policies): *In order to be eligible for refund and accrue no rescheduling fees, cancellations must be made at least 14 days in advance of reservation. Cancellations made within 14 days of reservation will not receive a refund.*
You may [contact The Wilds](https://www.thewilds.org/contact) at (740) 638-5030 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., or you can email them at information@thewilds.org.
**Waiver of liability**
After you purchase your ticket, you will likely be asked to fill out a waiver of liability. This is a very short document and should take you no more than two minutes to complete.
**Where we'll meet**
We will meet at The Wilds, whose actual address is [14000 International Rd, Cumberland, OH 43732](https://www.google.com/maps/place/14000+International+Rd,+Cumberland,+OH+43732/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x8837dae07a595557:0xa1ceca93325a8bd1?sa=X&ved=1t:242&ictx=111).
Please try to be there by 12:30 p.m. For most Wilds' tours, a shuttle bus will take you to the actual spot of the tour. So think of this as though you're going to the airport to catch a flight. It helps to be on time.
The Wilds generally asks that people arrive at least thirty minutes because the scheduled start time of their tour.
**GPS / Getting to The Wilds**
The Wilds is in a very rural area, but I've never had a problem getting there with my GPS (I have Verizon). I've also uploaded a JPG map, below, of Muskingum County.
Sometimes, though, it's hard to get a signal when you're at The Wilds and getting ready to leave. So you might want to consider downloading an offline map in Google Maps. Your cell phone should pick up a signal, however, within a few minutes after you leave.
The Wilds' Visitor Center does have free Wi-Fi.
**Carpooling?**
If you want to carpool, I recommend discussing this in the comments, below, to this event. While I don't myself carpool, I will do what I can to help you arrange something if I can.
**The weather**
Dress for the weather. Just because the barn is heated doesn't mean it will be warm. And wear closed-toed shoes.
Wilds' tours typically run no matter what the weather is.
**After the tour**
Once we're done with the rhinos, we'll head over to the very highly rated [Y-Bridge Brewing Company](https://ybridgebrewing.com/). The brewery is about thirty minutes from The Wilds, and it will be on the way back to Columbus for most, if not all, of us. The brewery's actual address is [1417 Linden Ave Ste D, Zanesville, OH 43701](https://www.google.com/maps/place/1417+Linden+Ave+d,+Zanesville,+OH+43701/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x8837edd6cc50824f:0xe3a0af1ccb2aefbf?sa=X&ved=1t:242&ictx=111).
Y-Bridge Brewing does not serve food; however, they have several [food options](https://ybridgebrewing.com/food-options). I encourage you to check these out ahead of time on their website for yourself. However, here are a few of them:
*Within walking distance -- 120 feet away*
* [Angry Bull Saloon](https://www.facebook.com/AngryBullSaloonZanesville/) (pizza & subs)
* The Corner Pub Sports Bar and Grill (classic bar food)
*Delivery options -- [Door Dash](https://www.doordash.com/)*
* [4 Star Pizza](https://fourstarpizza.com/), (740) 452-9300
* [Donatos](https://www.donatos.com/), (740) 452-7900
* [Pizza Cottage](https://www.pizza-cottage.com/), (740) 455-6000
* [Dominos](https://www.dominos.com/), (740) 455-3126
* [Papa John's](https://www.papajohns.com/), (740) 450-4100
If you live in the area or can't make The Wilds but still want to meet us at the brewery, that's fine too.
