The film depicts antifascist resistance in all its forms—armed, civilian, artistic—and explores the meaning of these stories today. In light of resurgent right-wing movements gaining power, resistance is not only remembered but understood as an urgent task of the present. Following the screening, there will be a discussion in English with the director, Olga Ştefan, and the historian, Prof. Dr. Botakoz Kassymbekova (Department of History, University of Zurich), moderated by Dr. Adam Knowles (Department of Philosophy, University of Zurich). A bunch of Comedians will be there, but they will be trying out jokes, because this is how Comedians find out if something is funny or not, so you get to be there at the birthplace of jokes. Often Comedy Open Mics are more casual & but also funny as well! **Q: Can I perform Comedy also?** A: Yes of course! Just contact theamericanstandupshow@gmail.com if you're interested in performing. Or directly go to the event page on facebook & write "SPOT" inside the event discussion. You'll be confirmed later & will get 5minutes to start off with. Anybody can sign up! **Q: What about these seats?** A : We have enough seats for everyone but the first come first served rule applies! Especially since Kon-Tiki Comedy is popular, often it is packed inside, so come early for good seats. What's early? Anything before 19:00 & you will have your seat of choice. **Q : What about the late show?** Depending on the turnout a late show is also available most of the time, please check the ticket page to see if there is a late show option. Basically if you can buy tickets to the late show, it's happening, if it's not an option for a ticket it's not! Both shows might be consolidated into one if there's not enough ticket sold for the late show. In this case you will recieve an e-mail telling you so. **Q : Can I refund my ticket?** There are no refunds allowed because it becomes too much work for a simple Comedy Open Mic, so only buy your ticket if you know you're for sure going to be able to make it. ## Women Who Wonder Intergenerational Women's Circle (Second Meeting) Women Who Wonder is a biweekly circle in Zurich, for women between 18 and 108 years old. We sit together for 90 minutes, facilitated, not to advise but to share, listen to and witness each other. When it's truly heard, your story becomes wisdom Gathering in circles is one of the oldest human practices we know of. First Nations peoples in North America developed the talking circle with a talking piece to ensure that each person is heard. Women gathered in moon lodges, and in Anishinaabe full moon ceremonies women sit in a circle from youngest to oldest, passing wisdom between generations. Since the industrialisation of the 19th century, we have been segregated into age groups: school classes, work, elderly people on their own. We miss out on exchange between generations, which research links to greater well-being, stronger resilience, and even longer lives. This is why I created Women Who Wonder. Each woman speaks without interruption and can ask for the kind of response she would like, or none at all. We pass an hourglass as our talking piece. Being witnessed this way creates a tangible, lifting energy. Whether you bring the wisdom of elders or of youth, of motherhood or of those without children, join us. ### How it works To create a safe and confidential space, every attendee signs our circle agreements on arrival. The essentials: we don't interrupt, we are non-judgemental, we don't fix, and we don't sell services. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. You don't have to prepare anything. Just come as you are. ### About me I'm Barbara, a coach, healer, and gynaecologist and obstetrician. In this circle I am a facilitator, not a medical advisor. A casual meet-up to get to know people from / around Zurich over a cup of coffee. Groups are typically 6-7 people small.
