Join us for the first History Club Happy Hour as we kick things off together. This inaugural meetup is a chance to meet fellow history lovers, enjoy good conversation, and help shape what this club becomes. We’ll swap ideas for future events like happy hours, museum visits, walking tours, trivia nights, discussions, and anything else members would like to create. Whether your interests are ancient Rome, military history, political intrigue, world wars, revolutions, presidents, or obscure historical rabbit holes, you’re welcome here. Start at the old train depot. After the run, we'll meet at Mile 20 for a drink! Run starts at 6:45 pm we will head toward Sterling tonight. Run at your own pace out and back. 2 mile runners turn around at Crestview Drive. 3 mile runners turn around at Tamarack Court. 3.5 & 4 - No cross streets in this stretch. You're on your own. :-) 5 mile runners - turn around at Sterling Blvd.

**NEW GAME LOCATION at The** Let's play board games. Not the ones your ancestors played but the really cool ones of the new millennium. We play everything from fun, social games to light to heavy strategy games. Don't know how to play? Not a problem - we're happy to teach. It's a great chance to learn new games or play your favorites with non-competitive people who like to laugh. You can build a railroad, eradicate a plague, or explore the far reaches of the galaxy in one evening. While many will bring their own games, you can show up gameless and still play. We play at the Ballston Quarter mall basement food court on Wednesday from 6:30-10:00. It's within walking distance from the Ballston metro and there's parking in the garage for $1. **Find us at the tables to the right when you get off the elevators to the lower level.** Look for a group that has containers and carrying bags with multiple games.

You do NOT need to RSVP in both groups if you plan to come!** Next up on the Happy Hour circuit is Junction Bakery and Bistro in Del Ray! This establishment is a bakery and restaurant offering dinner and HH bites. There's a back bar area with a decent amount of floor space, and some booths indoor as well as outdoor on their side patio if you choose to have a sit-down meal with a few friends. If you have a sweet tooth, the pastries are all made in-house daily as well. 🍽️ **Coffee & Drinks:** Junction's Happy Hour runs from 4-7. Not in a drinking mood? No Problem! They also offer coffee-based drinks all day! 🅿️ **Parking:** Junction Bistro has about 5-6 parking spots on-premises. Additional parking is readily available on most side-streets off of Mt. Vernon Ave, and there are metered spots right on Mt. Vernon Ave itself. Just pay attention to parking signs, as some streets only have parking on one side and not the other. 🚇**Transit** \- Take the Blue or Yellow lines to the Braddock Rd\. metro\, and it's a 15 minute walk up Mt\. Vernon Ave from there \(about \.7 miles\)\.
