Open Draw
Open Draw

ISLAND WINES ...
ISLAND WINES ...
Calling all wine lovers in Berlin .... ***Island Wines*** \- The words evoke holidays on sun\-drenched beaches with crystal clear water\, or hiking on steep mountains ranges with cactus and pine forests\.\.\.\. Indeed, wines grown on islands almost always have special qualities ranging from fresh and fruity to salty and mineral. Whether they are grown on fiery volcanos, windswept archipelagos, tropical paradises, or stony sea outcrops, island wines are some of the most unique wines in the world. They often also feature little-known grapes grown in off the beaten track places. Bring a bottle from one of the following regions (price range of 15€ plus) to share and we'll explore some of the most exotic and often ignored wines of European islands, ranging from Germany (yes!) to Crête: * Greek islands (Santorini, Crete) * Canary islands * Balearic islands (Mallorca) * Portugal (Azores, Madeira) * Croatia * Corsica * Cyprus * Italy (Sicily, Sardinia) * Germany (Mariannenaue, Reichenau Island, Main Wine Island) At our blind wine tasting events - we share, we taste, we analyse, we discuss, and we attempt to identify what’s in the glass. No expertise is required - Curiosity is enough. Light snacks will be provided to complement the wines. **💶 Contribution** **€25 donation per person (plus your bottle contribution)** **A 72-hour cancellation policy applies.** **Who Should Join?** This evening is open to everyone — from curious enthusiasts to experienced wine lovers. Whether you are beginning your journey into wines or deepening your understanding, you are welcome. The atmosphere will be relaxed, convivial, and focused on discovery. **📩 How to Join** **To secure your place:** 1️⃣ Sign up via the MeetUp waiting list 2️⃣ Transfer the €25 donation to: [ck.brand@alice-dsl.net](mailto:ck.brand@alice-dsl.net) 3️⃣ Your place will be confirmed ***ONLY*** upon receipt of ***payment*** **Come ready to taste, guess, and experience each wine one glass at a time - places are limited to ensure an intimate and engaging tasting experience.**

FLow - vocal soundbath and breathwork meditation + freestyle vocal session
FLow - vocal soundbath and breathwork meditation + freestyle vocal session
🕢 Doors open at 18:30 and sessions start at 19:00. Freestyle vocal workout at and play session. €8-20 😌 Flow is a state of being… an experience when you allow yourself to be 100% fully engaged in the present moment in a feedback loop between clarity and satisfaction. It is an undeniable sensation where things seem to be more effortless, pleasurable, in sync, and you can easily sense a connection with something greater than yourself; this is what we will create…: • a connected and mindful meditation where it is possible to blissfully surf the cutting edge of the present moment together… • a game where it’s possible to feel excited and calm in the same moment, and everyone can win as much as they like… Scott Bolden, founder of Das Baumhaus Berlin will share some very easy, practical and effective methods developed during the last 12 years of facilitating the “Improvisational Groove Orchestra” (I.G.O.) improv vocal jam sessions. Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow moments… It is very easy to participate, no musical talent or training is required so anyone is welcome to join. All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space. During these sessions we will also have short breaks for feedback and refreshment. Important – Please be on time. It is very important to understand the methodology and warm up in the group before joining in! 🎤 @21:00 - Freestyle vocal workshop and practice session. €8-15 Have you ever wanted to learn how to do freestyle vocalizations? Maybe you are on your way and would like to just have a fun workout session with other vocal freestyle enthusiasts. All levels welcome. Nothing Shared, Everything Gained by Kore Nordmann
Nothing Shared, Everything Gained by Kore Nordmann
Hello fellow Symfonians, we are thrilled to announce the next user group meeting of the year, featuring two insightful talks that you **won't want to miss**! This time we are hosted by Turbine Kreuzberg (Prinzessinnenstr. 19/20 10969 Berlin). Come by and enjoy an evening of learning, networking, and socializing with fellow Symfony and PHP developers. **Agenda:** 18:30: Doors open 19:00: Welcome and Introduction 19:20: **Talk: "Nothing Shared, Everything Gained" by Kore Nordmann** 20:10: Snack & Socializing **Talk Details: "Nothing Shared, Everything Gained" by Kore Nordmann** A team shipped nothing for six months. Controllers with 2000-line methods, static calls everywhere, developers afraid to touch the code. It took 25 days to fix. The pattern repeated across 100+ teams over seven years of consulting: side effects were always the root cause. The solution: Data Objects carry state, stateless Services contain logic, Gateways push side effects to the edges. At Frontastic, these patterns survived 8 years, multiple pivots, 70 engineers, and 25x Black Friday traffic — without a single rewrite. [https://codethatships.com/](https://codethatships.com/) Don't miss these insightful talks, engaging discussions, and networking opportunities. We can't wait to see you at the **May Symfony User Group**!" If you have any questions or accessibility requirements, please reach out to us. Also, if your company wants to be the next host for the User Group, just let us know!
