Tuesday night life drawing sessions at senseless Art Studio in Hong Kong have been organised for many years in different locations. As an open workshop, everyone is welcome, from beginners (there are many) to seasoned artists. Everyone is very respectful and willing to share. Time: 7.30 – 9.30pm, every Tuesday night; Venue: senselessart Studio Portland street. Prince Edward station. 1 minute walk from Prince Edward MTR exit D, on the left, past the Isuzu dealership, please [email]( mailto:rachel@senselessart.net) for the DOOR CODE. Self-teaching class: drawing starts at 7:30PM and ends around 9:45PM (sometimes a bit later). Come early if you want to get a good spot (especially if you'd like to be drawing on a table). Doors open at 7:00pm. We usually overstay to discuss the drawings and exchange impressions and advice. Working with male and female models, short poses mostly (2 to 20 minutes). Starting with short warm up poses and finishing on longer poses. (Please do not ask if the model will be male or female in advance, models change every week and if the model gender makes a difference to your participation then this probably isn't the drawing session you are looking for). Fee: HKD$200 per session (two hours), discount for students. This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.

The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills.
