**On a whim** Have you ever done something impulsively - a haircut or a tattoo you regretted, a random date that turned into a relationship, a passion project that became a career, a trip that went sideways, or a purchase you indulged in? Tell us all about your spontaneous decisions that led to memorable outcomes. If you couldn't make it to our previous pitch workshops, here is another opportunity for you! The *On a whim* live storytelling show is on Wednesday, 24th June. If you’ve got a story or just an idea in mind, come to one of our pitch workshops at the end of May. If your story is shortlisted for the show, our host will work with you as you polish and rehearse it. 📌 Story Requirements: * Your story must be true * It must be told in the first person—you are the main character * It should be between 5-10 minutes You don't need to have a completed or polished story ready - just a beginning idea is okay. This workshop is open to individuals at all levels, first-timers or old hands. The purpose of Hong Kong Stories is to help you become a better storyteller. Everyone has a story to tell, and everyone loves a story. Note: Please update your RSVP, ideally 12 hours before the event if you're unable to make it. As its name suggests, Urban Krav Maga (UKM) is a fighting system that has its roots in the Israeli self-defence system: Krav Maga Urban Krav Maga consists of a wide combination of techniques sourced from various martial arts, combat sports and fighting systems such as Karate, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) among others. Michael Chan is a qualified Urban Krav Maga Instructor under the British Combat Association UK. He brings a wealth of Martial Arts experience to Hong Kong. Michael has practiced and trained in Krav Maga since 2012 and became a qualified instructor in 2018.
