Seoul Vibe: A Global Conversation on Life's Big Questions
Seoul Vibe: A Global Conversation on Life's Big Questions
What does it mean to be human in a complex world? This special Curious Souls Cafe features "Seoul Vibe"—a collection of thought-provoking questions **created by our community in Seoul**. These questions aren't about Korea; they're about the universal experiences we all share: the search for purpose, the dance of emotions, the art of connection, and the journey of self-discovery. We'll dive into questions like: * Is purpose something we discover or something we create? * What makes emotional awareness difficult, and how can we improve it? * How do we build relationships that are both fulfilling and authentic? * What shapes our identity, and how does it evolve over time? * How does culture influence our worldview and connections? Join us for a conversation that transcends geography and delves into the heart of what it means to be human. Inviting all Curious Souls who are passionate about: 🌍 Curious about life's big questions 💭 Reflecting on purpose, emotions, and relationships 🗣️ Interested in diverse perspectives and shared human experiences 🤝 Looking for genuine connection and meaningful conversation 🌱 Exploring personal growth and self-understanding 🗓️ Agenda / What You'll Experience 💬 Meaningful Icebreaker Conversation Cards (Round 1) We will begin the session with meaningful conversation cards. You'll have the opportunity to pick a card and initiate thought-provoking conversations with fellow attendees. Note: This may involve virtual question cards accessed via a link or QR code. If you do not have a device (phone/tablet) to access these, please ask a facilitator for assistance; we have spare units available. 💬 Focused Discussion on a Meaningful Topic (Round 2) Where time allows, after warming up, our diverse group of friends and strangers will come together exchanging ideas on intriguing topics chosen spontaneously. Each participant is encouraged to contribute by sharing a unique question. You’re welcome to bring a question that’s been on your mind, or you can draw inspiration from the icebreaker conversation cards provided. Once all the questions are collected, the group will collaboratively select one to kick off the discussion. From there, we’ll embark on a respectful, engaging, and meaningful conversation, celebrating the diversity of perspectives and ideas within the group. 💬 Final Thoughts and Feedback In the final 10 minutes of the event, we’ll take a moment to reflect on the key insights, memorable moments, and takeaways from our discussions. This is a chance to distill the shared wisdom and leave with a deeper understanding of the topics we’ve explored together. After the event officially concludes, we may choose to extend the session, depending on the group’s interest. Of course, you’re welcome to leave at any time that feels right for you. An anonymized summary will be shared for sessions where key insights are identified. After the meeting, our facilitators and participants may reflect on the discussion and contribute to a summary or collaborative workbook based on their notes and observations. Additionally, questions may be revisited in future sessions in an anonymized manner. To explore what our events are like, check out our official website at [https://curioussouls.cafe](https://curioussouls.cafe) 📍 Location City: Hong Kong Address: Empire Centre, 68 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East Inside the shopping mall of Empire Centre, there is a large open area dedicated to a café. We will sit at a round table or sofa inside (near a Hang Seng ATM or 7-Eleven store). Please look for the big words "Curious Souls Café" on our table. If you take the MTR, the nearest station and exit will be East Tsim Sha Tsui Station (Exit P1). From there, you can walk to Empire Centre, which is just a few minutes away. Urban Krav Maga Hong Kong Tin Hau @ Studio Pamphile
Urban Krav Maga Hong Kong Tin Hau @ Studio Pamphile
Brand New Weekly Classes @ Studio Pamphile Venue New Location. Urban Krav Maga is a defence system that: The Urban Krav Maga aim is to equip the student as soon as possible to defend themselves against the most common attacks they may face. Once the student has mastered these techniques more difficult scenarios are addressed to build a support system that will enable the student to deal with almost any situation. By teaching concepts through techniques, students are taught how to read a situation and react/respond accordingly, even if they have not experienced that exact same scenario in training. Giving students the ability to improvise is an important element of our training, this is not like learning a kata. Awareness, avoidance and pre-emption are placed high in order of priority but we recognise that you can’t always avoid a potential violent encounter. We teach everything that is needed for self defence when it’s necessary in all environments, including, highly confined, crowded spaces, cars, shopping centres, nightclubs, buses etc. We make no apologies for our civilian approach to street violence and our subsequent breakaway from the original military solutions in dealing with armed attackers: a knife defence based on somebody attacking like they were making a committed bayonet thrust will not be so effective as one that is based on somebody stabbing with an aggressive pumping/piston motion with fast recoil when we are dealing with today’s street. As stated we retain the term Krav Maga as our approach reflects that on which Krav Maga was originally founded and we are, of course, indebted to the experiences we have gained training with the various Israeli Fighting Systems
