By popular demand, our Kimchi Making Class is back for Round 2! At 7PM on Sunday 28 June, we’re hosting a small kimchi making class in a private kitchen in Southbank. The session will be led by a Korean chef Asher(기훈) who will guide the process from start to finish, showing a simple and repeatable way to make kimchi at home. During the session, everyone will make their own personal portion of kimchi, following each step together. Apron, gloves, and trays will be provided, so you can join without any preparation. Throughout the process, there will be small tastings, including bossam and makgeolli. At the end of the session, you’ll take home the kimchi you made yourself. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human.
