AudioWalk #3
Hello! We will meet at The Collective Offshore. Its on the corner of the building closest to the stage thats under construction. Their doors are blue. If you seen Encore, then you've gone to far.
This walk we will be doing 2 laps around the lake, but feel free to only do 1 if you'd like. It takes roughly 35min to walk one lap.
If there is rain, the event will be cancelled.
The Collective Offshore:
10221 Wincopin Cir, Columbia, MD 21044
Please be respectful to everyone in the group. This group is created for everyone to enjoy themselves. If you'd like to chat to someone, please do! But some people might join us who just want to listen to whatever they choose and not talk to anyone and just enjoy having company while they walk. Which is what this group is all about!
Please grab a coffee or bring a snack while we walk if you want. đ Whatever will bring you JOY!

This is a smaller more practice focused event at my shop.
**Open to everyone and is a learning experience for most.**
Just bring your instrument(Electric), no need to bring an amp we have all of that.
Do not bring a pedal board with a bunch of pedals. The amps are dialed in for blues, trust me it's all there.
Drums are here already, very basic kit. If you want to bring cymbals or any other drum gear, please show up early to set up. Also please be aware that other people are going to play the kit as well.
Building a Scanning Tunneling Microscope - PCB Circuit Redesign with CAD
***In Person Location:*** Rockville Library, second floor meeting room (Collaboration Room 3).
Will recreate our Preamp circuit board inside EasyEDA to make it shareable for others. This ideally will also allow us to finish up design enough to submit for a materials grant program.
We are experimenting with a new virtual join link - [https://meet.jit.si/mocomakers](https://meet.jit.si/mocomakers)
If you can make it in person, that's always recommended!
Let's resume repeated full end-to-end testing cycles and continue to iterate our design and resolution. We are getting close.
Our community is building (and documenting for other teams) how to build a scanning tunneling microscope using a mix of common and 3D printed parts. This will allow us to scan and visualize a single atom - an ambitious we are doing over the course of a few months.
The MoCo Makers community is one of the most innovative and competent groups in Maryland, and we've done everything from [publishing cancer research](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38136356/), to [launching products](https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gotim/cozy-curvy-multi-contour-pillow), [winning grants](https://covidinfocommons.datascience.columbia.edu/awards/2014255), and inspiring thousands.
Now our biggest challenge yet has appeared. We are building a Scanning Tunneling Microscope, that will allow us to scan and visualize single atoms.
Does it sound hard? Perhaps.. However! I have every confidence that we are now operating at a level were we can take on this mean, cross-functional project. We continue to build on our past successes, and a key technology we previously applied was increasing the signal of small voltages using OpAmps - which we did during our custom pH Probe project - [https://www.mocomakers.com/ph-probe/](https://www.mocomakers.com/ph-probe/) \- That technology is exactly what we need to get this machine working\, and at a high precision\!
To get a better idea of what we are doing, see our reference project here: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N3OqTEq08g](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N3OqTEq08g)
All starting CAD, code, and reference files should exist. However, let's be the first Maker community to document the build process and share it with learners around the world.
We have a bit over $2,000 in materials costs, so if you want to sponsor this project, and get banners at events with 20K attendees, and access to our email broadcast of 30K members, please contact matt@mocomakers.com
We are also open to university, lab, or community partnerships so feel to reach out if you want to be part of this project.
Together, we can do incredible things.

Queer Bible Study
**Matthew 22:39 â¤ď¸**
âLove your neighbor as yourself.â
Do you identify as **LGBTQIA+** and find yourself carrying doubt, shame, or hurt because of religion? Are you curious about reconnecting with your faithâor exploring it in a new way?
If so, youâre invited to join a queer Bible study centered on **rediscovering Godâs word through *love***.
**This space is rooted in the belief that Christâs love is for everyone.** Despite what many have been taught or made to feel, your identity does not disqualify you from faithâit is part of your story, and you are worthy of love, belonging, and grace.
For a long time, I struggled with confusion, frustration, and even resentment toward religion. I asked God why I was made the way I am, wondering if that meant I was somehow wrong.
Over time, I came to realize that the hurt I carried didnât come from Godâit came from human misunderstanding, systemic bias, and teachings that strayed from love.
Through reflection and growth, my faith has become something different: something rooted in compassion, inclusion, and love for all peopleâmyself included.
**Logistics:**
⢠1st and 3rd Sunday of the month\*
⢠Location: Library or apartment\*\*
⢠60â90 minutes of reading and discussion\*\*\*
\* Frequency can increase if a consistent group forms
\*\* In-person gatherings at my apartment's lounge if the group is comfortable

A unique musical experience called a "Sound Bath"
Sound bath! What's that?
According to sonic specialist Monte Hansen from Annapolis MD, "A sound bath is an immersion in sound frequency that cleans your soul."
Leave your rubber ducky at home.
Bring your blankey instead, for this super relaxing immersion!
According to cutting-edge doctors from Harvard, some of the deepest most profound healing in the body are accomplished with sound frequency.
That's old news though.
A 2nd century stone relief in the Himalayan mountains shows us that Buddha and his entourage knew this before Christ walked the earth.
The stone relief depicts the Buddha and his buddies playing ancient Tibetan singing bowls.
A sound frequency specialist from the [Human Activation School](https://humanactivation.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d88b4fea1b0f4ceaeb58f0e82&id=d6674b4603&e=465ba11f44), will be playing several of these rare Singing Bowls, some of which are over 200 years old.
A magical alchemy of 7-12 different metals rings in the past, present, and future for our relaxing enchantment. Even modern doctors are using these old metal bowls for healing, and they are not practicing Buddhists!
As a matter of fact, modern Buddhists no longer use the bowls in their practice.
Come experience these gifts from the past in this NON-religious practice of our present. Come be rejuvenated or just captivated by this unique musical performance. Bring your pillows, blankeys, and yoga mats and snuggle into the comfort of the tranquil sounds. Feel free to sit, lay, or even stand!
***Did You Know?***
Singing bowls invite the mind and body into a tranquil state of being in which remarkable healing can occur, events that are unexplainable from a conventional biomedical perspectiveâ *Music and the Meditative Mind: Toward the Science of the Ineffable*[Source](https://humanactivation.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d88b4fea1b0f4ceaeb58f0e82&id=9222616fc4&e=465ba11f44) "The sound bath meditation provides a nurturing space to connect and grow spiritually. The group atmosphere is welcoming and fun, and the meditation work is soothing and enriching. Loved it!"**-Cara**
