🌟 Encuentro para personas autistas adultas (diagnóstico tardío 30+) y parejas Barcelona – Biblioteca Pública Fort Pienc ¿Has pasado años sintiendo que no entendias las normas sociales? ¿Que entiendes las reglas… pero te gustaría que vinieran con subtítulos? ¿Te diagnosticaron ya siendo adulto/a y de repente muchas cosas encajaron… pero siguen quedando mil dudas? Este encuentro está creado precisamente para personas que se reconocen en estas experiencias. El objetivo es ofrecer un espacio donde quienes son autistas (30+), con o sin pareja, puedan tener compañía sincera, humor compartido, comprensión real y un respiro social, sin máscaras ni presiones. y quien sabe ... **Al igual encontraras un nuevo amigo ;)** *** ### Comida, manías… y recursos útiles En esta quedada hablaremos de dos temas muy distintos, pero muy reales en la vida adulta autista. 🥄 **Primera parte: comida y preferencias sensoriales** Muchas personas autistas tenemos una relación particular con la comida: texturas que no toleramos, platos “seguros”, mezclas imposibles, rituales al comer o dificultades en contextos sociales. Será un espacio ligero para compartir experiencias, curiosidades y anécdotas sin juicios ni presión. 🏛️ **Segunda parte: ayudas y recursos en España / Cataluña** También abriremos conversación sobre subvenciones, certificado de discapacidad, apoyos laborales o recursos disponibles. No es asesoramiento profesional, sino un espacio para compartir información y experiencias que puedan ser útiles a otras personas del grupo. **🌿 ¿Cómo funciona la dinámica?** Se empezara por la conversacion y sacarameos mas preguntas sobre los temas 1 hasta que acabe la hora, y se conversará con calma a turnos. Quien desee hablar, habla; quien prefiera escuchar, escucha. Se permiten silencios, pausas largas, observación tranquila. **No se corrige, no se juzga, no se presiona.** El propósito es ofrecer un entorno amable y seguro para que las personas autistas puedan estar a su ritmo. **Y las parejas o amigos cercanos también son bienvenidos** ❤️ **🕒 Horario** **11:00–11:15** – Llegada tranquila y presentación. **11:15–12:15** – Conversación guiada por turnos, a ritmo suave. **12:15–12:30** – Cierre tranquilo y tiempo libre para quedarse o marcharse cuando se necesite. 🤍 **Un espacio pensado para descansar** **No es terapia. (CAST) Publicar un libro hoy es más fácil que nunca. Lo que no es tan fácil es tener algo original, valiente y honesto que contar. Te invitamos a la presentación de “Salir del armario a cualquier edad” de David Hartman. David es una de estas personas que contagia su curiosidad por la vida, por la gente, además de un buen humor indestructible. Tenemos la suerte de conocerlo de algunas de las actividades de este grupo y como sabemos que hace muy poco ha publicado su primer libro le hemos pedido con mucho cariño que nos lo presente. Sus historias y algunos capítulos de su vida son para hacer un libro o una película. Hemos hablado de varias cosas divertidas que pueden pasar en la presentación pero aun no tenemos todos los detalles. El plan es: Nos vemos en el Punto, en el reservado de la parte de arriba a las 18:30h. Tenemos el espacio durante 1hora así que tenemos que ser puntuales. Después podemos tomar algo más ahí (opcional) Esta actividad no es para "vender libros\* pero si que habrá algunas copias a la venta. We invite you to the presentation of "Coming Out at Any Age" by David Hartman. David is one of those people who spreads curiosity about life and people, along with an indestructible sense of humor. We're lucky enough to know him from some of this group's activities, and since we know he recently published his first book, we've kindly asked him to present it to us. His stories and some chapters of his life are worthy of a book or a film. We've talked about several fun things that might happen at the presentation, but we don't have all the details yet. The plan is: We'll meet at El Punto, in the area upstairs, at 6:30 p.m. We have the space for one hour, so we need to be on time. Afterwards, we can have something else to drink there (optional). This activity isn't meant to "sell books," but there will be a few copies available. It's our idea, the organizers idea, to promote the work of David, someone we sincerely love having as a friend. The presentation will be mostly in English, and we'll arrange ourselves so everyone is near someone who can help translating if needed. Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 25 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. **SCHEDULE:** 6:45ish - Quick introductions 7:00 - Timer starts: write for 1 hour 8:00 - The End **OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens before and after the writing hour. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. **BEING LATE IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled! Free at Bexley Library Adventures in Ecological Horticulture with Rebecca McMackin Wednesday, March 18 1:00pm - 2:30pm Gone are the days when a garden could be ornamental alone. We now recognize the impact that our land care practices have on the ecosystems around us, and can see the importance of encouraging biodiversity. Thankfully, we do not need to sacrifice beauty when we invite butterflies and songbirds into our gardens. Rebecca McMackin has cultivated gorgeous landscapes in the toughest environments possible: urban parks, school playgrounds, and the sidewalks of New York City. She will take lessons from her work at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Brooklyn Museum, and decades of research to share how those of us who are fortunate enough to care for land, can do it beautifully and ecologically. Rebecca McMackin is an ecologically obsessed horticulturist and garden designer. She writes, lectures, and teaches on ecological landscape management and pollination ecology, as well as designs the rare public garden. She is currently Lead Horticulturist for the American Horticultural Society, an Associate with the Harvard Divinity School’s Thinking with Plants and Fungi Initiative, and Consulting Arboretum Curator for Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, NY. Rebecca spent a decade as Director of Horticulture of Brooklyn Bridge Park, where she managed 85 acres of diverse parkland organically. Their research into cultivating urban biodiversity and ethical management strategies has influenced thousands of people and entire urban parks systems to adopt similar approaches. She has been published by and featured in the New York Times, Gardens Illustrated, on NPR and PBS. Her garden for the Brooklyn Museum recently won the PPA’s Award of Excellence and her TED Talk has been viewed over a million times. She holds M.Sc. from Columbia University and University of Victoria in landscape design and biology and recently completed the Loeb Fellowship at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. This program is presented in partnership with Rooted in Bexley and generously funded by the Bexley Community Foundation and Bexley Community Author Series Fund.

The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. **New Dojo Location!** **Draft Day Columbus** 1130 Dublin Road Columbus, OH 43215 We're going to try a new dojo location for a few weeks and see how it works Dojos are informal Python group study sessions where everyone interested in Python gathers to learn about Python, help others with Python, or just hang out. Everyone is welcome from Python beginners to experts. Bringing a laptop is encouraged (we'll have extension cords and power strips).
