Run+B-fast
Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows, Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us! Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast! Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45. We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier. Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup. Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

Sunday Badminton Event (10.30h-12.30h) Raketworld U3 Kendlerstraße
This is our weekly event! ----------------- Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12€ (for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. We are meeting at about 10:25 am near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. If you do not have a racket, it is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes the host or other members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! Let the host know that you are new and they will find a place for you. Don't worry, we are an open and friendly group. We are sure you will develop connections with the people in our community in no time! Without further ado - let's play some badminton and have fun together!

The Big Speed Friending ⭐ (BINGO EDITION; indoors)
The Big Speed Friending ⭐ (BINGO EDITION; indoors)
-- **UPDATE: this time we'll still do our usual format of group conversation. The new Bingo concept we're excited about, is taking more time to develop, but stay tuned for next time! Also, we're indoors at a new location (Jo&Joe's 5th floor, see itinerary).** Are you ready to mingle and make new friends? A YouTuber visited us and made [this 3-minute video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eG1dYro4u8) 😃👌 **"How does it work?"** We'll talk in small groups and change every \~10 minutes. After an hour we'll let you mingle freely (and exchange contact info if you like). **"10 minutes, is that enough to make a new friend?**" It's enough to see who you vibe with. As one of you said: "There were 4 people I really vibed with. I took their contact info, and I met them for coffee in the following days." **"Can I bring friends?"** Great idea! 😃 **"Can I give you feedback about the event?"** Yes, keep the ideas coming! **"Give me some great conversation starters!"** \- A round where everyone names 2 of their favorite interests and why \(or your favorite things to do in Vienna\) \- What’s a guilty pleasure you secretly love but would never admit in a job interview? \- What’s the most epic fail you’ve ever had trying to impress someone? \- What’s a small win you’ve had recently that you’re secretly super proud of \- If you had to wear a T\-shirt with one ridiculous life motto you believe in\, what would it say? \- One piece of advice you'd give your younger self\, and why? \- If you were the main character in a video game\, what would your ‘special move’ be\, and what epic quest would you be on? \- What’s the weirdest snack you’ve ever invented when you were starving and had nothing in the fridge? \- What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but never have\, because it seems hard — and what’s the funniest thing holding you back? \- If you could make one silly rule that everyone in the world had to follow for a day\, what would it be? \- What’s a bold dream you would pursue if you couldn’t fail?

ADVANCED badminton players wanted!
ADVANCED badminton players wanted!
Thank you for visiting this event page! * Are you an advanced badminton player? If yes - WELCOME! * The earlier you sign up, the bigger your chance to reserve a place - once 9 other players have signed up already, you move to the waiting list. * Once the waiting list has 3 or more members, I will try to book an additional court, but no guarantees. I need to close the registration 24h before the event as I will then have to decide whether to cancel any court due to a shortage of players. You can still contact me if you want to play though. The fee per player will be €10.00 for 2 hours as the cost of both shuttles and court bookings have increased. But this should now cover also shuttles used during play. Please be on time as a curtesy to the other players. In addition, if you are on the players' list and don't come (i.e. no show), you will be automatically excluded from this group.
