Hi, Brussels Runners is also accessible as a club on Strava where you can sign up for the same events. We run 5 kms around Bois de la Cambre divided in one bigger lap of 3,5 kms and a smaller one of 1,5 kms. Both start and end at the Woodpecker so, if needed, you can stop there after the first lap. It's time to put down the chocolates and lace up the walking boots for a hike from **Pécrot to Leuven** (\~21km, 150m elevation). We will walk through the Brabantse Wouden and follow the river Dijle on footpaths and board walks, then finish in the city of Leuven where the streets will be festive and the bars warm and inviting. We will surely find one for a drink (optional) to help us recover from the cold before taking the train back to Brussels. **The weather forecast is sunny but cold (max 4C), so bring plenty of warm clothes. The path will be muddy or frozen and slippery in places.** **We will walk at an average speed of 5km/h. This is quite fast.** We will walk both on paved and unpaved roads. We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. We always have a 10 minute presentation from one of the members about their business in more detail. And finally we pass referrals. You're welcome to visit. Nobody is ever put on the spot. ######## NEW LOCATION ####### We are going to be at The Forge on Bethel Rd this week and until further notice! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
