Come play Magic's most accessible competitive format! We meet every Tuesday at 18:30 at RuDi-Das Stralauer Kultur- und Nachbarschaftszentrum in Friedrichshain, \~10 minutes by foot from Warschauer Str. and Ostkreuz. **Do I need my own deck?** No, people that come bring extra decks, and you are free to borrow one if you want to test the format before buying into it! **Casual or Competitive?** We play casually to allow people to come late and leave early. Feel free to stay for any amount of time between 18:30 and 22:30. To this end, feel free to bring proxies, as long as it is clear what card you are proxying! **Why do you charge an entry fee?** Our 2 euro entry fee is a donation to the community center that we use to host our event. At the moment, due to the nature of our event, we unfortunately cannot offer any promos or prizes (we aren't recognized by WPN!) **The best way to get in touch is to join the WhatsApp group:** Scan the QR code in the banner! *Even if Meetup has only 1 or 2 RSVPs, we are normally 10-15 people every week!*

We are back in the c-base! Do you already run NixOS and want to talk to other people or want an introductory session with some NixOS users. Just bring your machine! Usually there are no topics, we just sit in front of our computers, talk about stuff, debug some problems or review some PRs on nixpkgs. There are drinks usually available from the c-base bar. Heute gilt die Verharmlosung des Rauchens als Prototyp der Wissenschaftsleugnung. Ein kritischer Blick auf die Fakten zum Rauchen und ihre verzerrte Darstellung in Werbung, PR und fragwürdigen Studien über die letzten 100 Jahre fördert Überraschendes, Skurriles und Erschreckendes zu Tage. Wir betrachten Werbung mit dem angeblichen gesundheitlichen Nutzen des Rauchens, die Haltung des ADAC zum Rauchen im Auto, "Eine aufrichtige Stellungnahme an Zigarettenraucher" und die Arbeit der wissenschaftlichen Institute der Zigarettenindustrie. Wisst Ihr, was Zigarettenfilter beim Rauchen braun verfärbt und wie eine Zigarette "light" macht? **Holm** studierte Physik (mit Nebenfach Meteorologie), Diplomarbeit in Kernphysik in Kooperation mit dem CERN, Promotion am Max-Planck-Institut für Physik München, daneben Zusatzstudium Betriebswirtschaft. Heute ist er Unternehmensberater und Geschäftsführer der Uncertainty Managers Consulting GmbH. Als Skeptiker aktiv seit den 1990er Jahren zu Pseudophysik und Verschwörungsmythen, Autor von „Faktenimmun“ und „Relativer Quantenquark“ (u.a.) Mitglied im Stammteam des „WTF-Talk“ auf Twitch, zuvor beim „Ferngespräch“. **Format** Das Edutainment-Format "Skeptics in the Pub" kommt ursprünglich aus dem UK und verbindet unterhaltsame wissenschaftliche Vorträge mit Diskussion und Socializing in entspannter Atmosphäre. Seit einigen Jahren gibt es auch im deutschsprachigen Raum regelmäßige Veranstaltungsreihen u.a. in Köln, Wien und jetzt auch in Berlin.

Ok everybody, it's 2026, and after taking a break for the holidays, games are starting up again as usual. We'll meet, have a beer, and play a round of cards against humanity. Laughs will be had, groans will be groaned, beer will go down the hatch. This event is public, and prior experience with the game is not required. You are not required to drink alcohol, but please note that we are crashing a bar, so a beverage purchase or two is appropriate and necessary for us to maintain their goodwill. We play every Sunday—year-round—and are looking for a few players who are willing to join regularly. Average age is around 27-50. We play on grass using poles as goals, which allows us to adjust the field and goal size depending on the number of players. Please arrive on time, as we need to divide the teams. Game starts 11:30 sharp. Wir spielen jeden Sonntag - ganzjährig - und suchen nach ein paar Spielern, die sich vorstellen können, regelmäßig dazuzukommen. Alter im Schnitt ca. 27-50. Wir spielen auf Rasen mit Stangen als Toren, wodurch wir die Platz- und Torgrösse flexibel a die Anzahl der Spieler anpassen können. Bitte pünktlich da sein, weil wir die Mannschaften aufteilen müssen. Das Spiel beginnt pünktlich um 11:30 Uhr.

Join the Minotaurs Men's Basketball Team on Wednesday at 8pm at an indoor basketball court in Neukolln. We currently have two teams, one in Bezirkliga and one in FBL. We are looking for new players to add to the teams so come by to play together and meet. Please send a message to the event organizer if you are interested in coming.

Hi Footballers, We play in the format 8v8 for a full hour. The pitch is a modern artificial turf (outdoor) in Safe-Hub Berlin. The fee to participate is 7.49€. We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome.
