Let’s play grass volleyball! This meetup is intended for advanced beginners and above—please review Smiley Social’s **[skill levels](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PojSi4qdlRsv1msCHhvpQ43iDc4FfzQwpWCc3kafVMY/edit?pli=1&tab=t.0)** before RSVPing. Understanding your own skill level helps create balanced activities where everyone feels challenged appropriately. * **Priority:** This event is not on first-come first-serve. Upon registering, your name will appear on a waitlist and will moved to the Going or Not Going lists thereafter. Higher-skill players may be prioritized. * **Cancellations:** Un-RSVP before 9:00 AM the day of the event; late cancellations may count as no-shows and affect future participation. * **Bring:** a volleyball, water, and sunglasses. * **Weather:** In case of inclement/uncertain weather, event may be canceled as late as 9:00 AM day of event. Updates will be sent via Meetup private message and posted in Comments section.

RULES of the GAME : 1- **FRIENDLY GAME**. No slide tackling, rough play, or coaching. 2- It is highly recommended to wear **TURF SHOES**. However, if you choose to wear cleat and you step on someone foot, you have to leave the game for **5 MINS OUT** and the time would increases if you do it again during the same game. 3- In case of disagreement during the game, the **host acts as a referee** so the game stays smooth and enjoyable to everyone. **Please do not show up unless you're confirmed** and your name shows in the going list. You might not play if you show up anyway. **If you can not make it , cancel ahead of time** (prior to 10 pm the night before), otherwise, you will not be prioritized for the future games. No-shows without cancellation would make you lose your spot the next game. If your name is on the wait list, I would assume you are still interested to join, if not remove your name from the wait list. **Every player should sub for a goalie and offer to play defense.** Please use a clear profile picture so it is easier for me to recognize you. if you don't have a clear picture, the host might cancel your rsvp. If you plan on playing with us regularly , keep in mind we collect yearly donations of $25. For donations you can zelle me (3189143325) or Venmo(@Aladdin-Alayoubi)

Volleyball - B/BB - Holmes Run
Volleyball - B/BB - Holmes Run
If you’ve already learned the basics of volleyball and want to keep improving your skills while having fun, this event is for you! **Skill Level:** Advanced Beginner (click [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PojSi4qdlRsv1msCHhvpQ43iDc4FfzQwpWCc3kafVMY/mobilebasic) for details). **Reminders** 1. Attendance: We’ve noticed that the waitlist is growing, so please make sure your name is on the Going list if you plan to play. Our number of nets is limited so this helps avoid too many rotations. If your name is on the list but you don’t show up, it will count as an absence according to Smiley Social rules. Please update your RSVP at least 12 hours in advance if your plans change. 2. Injuries: Play safely and be mindful of others on the court. Respect positions and avoid risky moves that could lead to injury. If you’re not sure the ball is yours, call it before going for it to avoid collisions. 3. Game Rules: Let’s follow the basic volleyball rules, especially the three-touch rule so we can play properly and improve as a team! 4. Waitlist: The waitlist is not first come first serve. We prioritize regular attendees, and will fill empty spots with new faces closer to the event date. **Smiley Social documents:** 1. Pick-up co-ed soccer Sunday 9:30 AM -11:30 AM. Please join our longstanding soccer game at Indian Spring Terrace Local Park, 9717 Lawndale Dr, Silver Spring, MD 20901-3025. We play on the fields behind the Silver Spring YMCA. There is parking at the back of the YMCA or on Fairway Avenue, which runs by the side of the field that we use. The games are friendly and as safe as possible (no slide tackling). Ages range from 15 years old to 65. Skill level is average to good. Please contact Henry Karp at [karphenry@yahoo.com](http://karphenry@yahoo.com/) or just join us at the times identified above. Although an RSVP is always appreciated, new members need not RSVP to join the game. The games are always on, unless bad weather. We have a core group of regular players who do not use the meetup app so please don't judge whether there is a game or not by the number of sign-ups on meetup.
BB and above players only up to 12 players
BB and above players only up to 12 players
# Today's meetup is limited to 12 BB and above only players and 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 play only. Please help us keep this day limited and enjoy the open play on the other days if you or your friend are not BB or above. People make plans and travel to show up on limited days for limited play because it is limited to experienced players. Please do not show up if you are on the waitlist without checking first, or try to play 5's or 6's, with your friend that is learning how to play, or because it is not full with 12 players if you or your friend are not BB or above. We’d rather play with 9 experienced players on these limited days than open it up to beginners, friends that are learning, etc. There are other open days for that, and they are fun too.

We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches. These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Post your skill level and a suggested court in the comments section so we can round up as many players as we can for some tennis fun! Also, if you’re looking to meet new practice partners or play some matches and you aren’t already in the PlayYourCourt Community, you can go here to see what we’re all about and sign up: https://www.playyourcourt.com/tennis-community/washington-dc/meetup/ If you love tennis, we’d love to have you! Be sure and watch the quick video that explains how everything works. Happy hitting! - Scott

Short North Street Skate | Weekly Rollout
Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace.
