Let's get together and play jazz standards! Get your chord changes from iRealPro, and the heads from the Real Book. All and any instruments and singers are welcome. This is an event organized by the community. If you plan to perform, please show up 30 minutes before the event, and say hello to the other musicians. The Game Dev Group is a chilled, friendly place for anyone interested in game development to meet, learn and collaborate together. Our speakers for this event are **Duncan Treadgold and Harry Bentley.** Duncan is a Principal Software Engineer at Playtonic Games with 14 years of experience in the Game Dev. His experience includes studios like SEGA HARDlight, Radiant Worlds and Blitz Games Studios. Harry is currently a Technical Artist at Playtonic Games with half a decade of experience in games as a technical and VFX artist, having previously worked on Bass Invaders. Together, Duncan and Harry dive deep into the technical challenges faced during the development of Yooka-Replaylee, including improved graphics, revamped gameplay, 60 FPS using Unity engine and much more. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
