Learn to Unicycle and play Unicycle Hockey
Discover your ability to unicycle in a no-pressure friendly environment where you will (literally) have someone to lean on. Learn all the secret tips and hints and get up and rolling in no time!
Anyone can learn to ride the unicycle and to play unicycle hockey. We have unicycles for you to use and play with, but please let us know in advance so we can ensure we have these available. Just be willing to have a go with a friendly bunch of varying abilities.
Costs:
£0 until you can unicycle a length of the hall, unassisted
£15 for adults
£5 for concessions (students, retired, between jobs etc)

Beginners & Improvers Badminton Coaching Course
Are you a beginner at badminton and want to learn the basics so you can improve quickly and enjoy your games even more? Or perhaps you’ve been playing for a while, but are not sure if you have the right techniques, and want to take your games to the next level with more strategic play?
Then join our Badminton Coaching session, improve your games and have more fun playing!
**When**
Thursdays, 7- 9 pm
14 Aug. – 18 Sept., weekly for 6 weeks
**What you will learn**
This course is designed to provide a good understanding of the basics of the game, to provide a solid foundation on which to build and improve skills and techniques. The course will cover:
* Basics: Equipment, shoes, court layout, scoring
* Grips, Opening Positions
* Movement at net
* Backhand low serve
* Return of serve: net & clearance
* Backhand flick/high serve
* Overhead clearance shot
* Forehand low serve
* Forehand flick serve
* Doubles movement & positioning
**Details**
* Each session will entail 0 mins of coaching and 30 mins of practice/play time.
* The 1st 90 minutes will be coaching in a dedicated court.
* The remaining 30 minutes will be play time so you can practice what you’ve learnt. You will play with the rest of the club as in our normal session.
* Signing up for this event will sign you up for the full 8-session course.
**Meet your coach**
Islam is a qualified Level 2 Badminton coach and a regular player in our club.
He started playing badminton when he was at school. He was playing with friends, who were all much better than him. He decided to take some lessons, learned the basics and it improved his games dramatically.
He enjoyed the improvement so much that he decided he wanted to help others do the same. Islam has been coaching for over 10 years, specialising in doubles/mixed doubles coaching.

🎯 **Level**
This is an **Intermediate+ session**. You should be able to play clears, smashes, drops, drives, and net shots at the appropriate level and consistently in games.
All players **must be at the right level** for this session. Badminton levels vary between clubs, so we strongly recommend checking out our **Instagram page** to see what *we* class as **Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, and High Intermediate** before booking.
We always use the **first game as a level check**. If it becomes clear during that game that the standard isn’t the right match for this session, **you won’t be able to continue beyond that point**.
As a **small community club**, we’re unfortunately **unable to offer refunds** in these situations.

Join us for friendly, competition badminton with like-minded enthusiasts. We have sole use of four courts. Players do not have to attend for the entire duration however the price is the same. Please note we limit the amount of attendees to 24 so that everybody gets a fair number of games. Play is from 19:00pm to 22:00pm

Park View Badminton Club exists purely to offer an opportunity for like-minded players to exercise, play and socialise together and nothing more.
All attendees should consider the club as an informal gathering of people who will train together in a loosely structured format.
The club is operated and managed by a number of volunteers in their free time and these volunteers cannot accept any responsibility for any events that occur at the club.
If you have any medical conditions that could affect you, it’s your responsibility to make the
club aware of these. Neither the club nor Park View School will take responsibility for any injury, loss or damage that might arise as a result of participation in club activities. Effective warmup and stretches should be undertaken before play to avoid injury and appropriate clothing and footwear is to be worn whilst playing at all times. Tennis for All
The session is aimed at beginners and intermediate level players who have either never played tennis previously or would like to improve on their game.
Join our 2 hours session which will consist of warm up followed by drills focusing on technical skill coaching and will include Forehand / Backhand / Volley and Serve.
Finally you get to play each other refining your skills and techniques and ultimately having fun.
Rackets can be borrowed please let me know if you need a racket in advance.
You need to make a payment 24 hours before the session.
If you cannot attend the session please provide 24 hours notice. Should you wish to cancel. This will allow other players on the waiting list the chance to attend the session.
If severe weather conditions prevent the session you will have credit for your next session.
If there is less than 6 players unfortunately the session will not go ahead.

We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! Short North Street Skate | Weekly Rollout
Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together.
These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus.

We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert.
