We all have to start somewhere 🧡 **Venue:** 🚪Entrance to the sports hall is on the corner of Celebration Avenue and Temple Mills Ln 🧼There are showers, changing rooms & a water fountain at the venue 🚶‍♂️5 minute walk from Stratford International DLR Station 🚗 Paid car parking is available on site **Rules** Explained at the start of the session but usually a running clock for the whole time and subs every 5-6 minutes on each team.

NOTE EVENTS ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO MEET UP SO DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE FEW ATTENDEES SHOWING Summary: Cycle the course of the famous Oxford v Cambridge boat race, see the grandeur of Richmond waterfront, enjoy the rural sights along to the majestic Hampton Court Palace, then finish through meadows and river locks. Distance: 28 miles Terrain: Flat **Path/Road:** 3 miles of road, rest is path. Some of the path is quite rutted so thin road bike tyres won't be too comfortable. **Physical difficulty:** Easy to Moderate, 3.5 hours cycling at a manageable pace. You must be competent on a bike and have cycled similar distances. **Duration**: 10am – 4pm **Cost**: £30 **Itinerary**: The Thames Path stretches from the Thames Barrier in the East to Cricklade, the source of the Thames in the West. On this stretch from Putney to Staines you will cycle the course of the famous Oxford v Cambridge boat race, and enjoy the grandeur of Richmond waterfront. You’ll have time here to explore the Farmer’s Market. Moving on the route becomes more rural as you reach the majestic Hampton Court Palace, and then finish through meadows, and idyllic waterfront communities. The route is alive with people enjoying the river, both on it and off: rowers, sailors, walkers and cyclists. Lunch is at The Angler's pub in Walton on Thames. A stunning riverside location. At the end of the tour we’ll head back on the train to return the hire bikes or feel free to find your own way home. There will be rest stops along the way, taking in the glorious riverside hospitality. **Bike hire**: We can arrange - £20 for the day (not included, contact us if you need to hire) **Start and finish**: Start at Putney train station. Richmond circular ride - via parks, rivers and bridleways
Our first ride for year is a 47km circular ride from Richmond. This is a unique ride in striking distance of London on 75% traffic-free trails, tracks and paths. The journey will take us along the Thames river path, through parklands and along bridleways to Ashtead common, before turning back to Richmond via Bushy Park. This is an opportunity for intermediate riders to get active and breath the fresh air to kick off the cycling season! The trip:
We meet at Richmond train station by 10:00am to commence riding at 10:15am through Richmond Park and then down to the river Thames. From there we head towards Ashtead Common along bike paths, broadways and backroads. A quick stop for lunch and time to take in the views before we loop around and down to Bushy Park. There will be a short stop at the famous Hampton Court Palace to take a few snaps before heading back to Richmond. Distance:
The total distance of the ride is 47km approx. Terrain and Elevation:
The ride has mixed terrain with some hilly sections at Richmond Park and Ashtead Common. Expect an even spread of bike paths, tarmac and gravel sections as well as a small amount of footpath/single track. Grading: This ride is graded as intermediate 3/5. It's suitable for a semi regular rider. Logistics: The trip starts at 10:00am from Richmond Station and we aim to be back by 4pm. Highlights: • Riding through deer territory of Richmond Park and Bushy Park • Take in the majestic sight of Hampton Court Palace. • Ride along the winding Thames river • Ride through the picturesque Ashtead Common • Meet new people on a great memorable ride! The session is aimed at beginners and intermediate level players who have either never played tennis previously or would like to improve on their game. Join our 2 hours session which will consist of warm up followed by drills focusing on technical skill coaching and will include Forehand / Backhand / Volley and Serve. Finally you get to play each other refining your skills and techniques and ultimately having fun. Rackets can be borrowed please let me know if you need a racket in advance. You need to make a payment 24 hours before the session. If you cannot attend the session please provide 24 hours notice. Should you wish to cancel. Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start. Come solo or bring a friend!
