Learn to Unicycle and play Unicycle Hockey
Discover your ability to unicycle in a no-pressure friendly environment where you will (literally) have someone to lean on. Learn all the secret tips and hints and get up and rolling in no time!
Anyone can learn to ride the unicycle and to play unicycle hockey. We have unicycles for you to use and play with, but please let us know in advance so we can ensure we have these available. Just be willing to have a go with a friendly bunch of varying abilities.
Costs:
£0 until you can unicycle a length of the hall, unassisted
£15 for adults
£5 for concessions (students, retired, between jobs etc)

Beginner's squash coaching (group event)
Interested in trying out squash but don't know where to start? Or had one or two sessions in the past but want to get back into it?
Try out a group coaching taster session to try it out for yourself with a qualified squash coach!
All equipment is provided (racket and balls). You just need to turn up!
Please note the session is 40 minutes long and suitable for absolute beginners of all fitness levels. There are changing rooms and showers on-site.
Open to male and female players.
If you can't make this particular session, we will be looking to hold other monthly tasters in 2026. Watch this space!

Tennis for All
This session is aimed at beginners and intermediate level players who have either never played tennis previously or would like to improve on their game.
Join our 1 hours session which will consist of warm up followed by drills focusing on technical skill coaching and will include Forehand / Backhand / Volley and Serve.
Finally you get to play each other refining your skills and techniques and ultimately having fun.
Rackets can be borrowed please let me know if you need a racket in advance.
You need to make a payment 24 hours before the session.
If you cannot attend the session please provide 24 hours notice. Should you wish to cancel. This will allow other players on the waiting list the chance to attend the session.
If severe weather conditions prevent the session you will have credit for your next session.
If there is less than 6 players unfortunately the session will not go ahead.

🎯 **Level**
This is an **Intermediate+ session**. You should be able to play clears, smashes, drops, drives, and net shots at the appropriate level and consistently in games.
All players **must be at the right level** for this session. Badminton levels vary between clubs, so we strongly recommend checking out our **Instagram page** to see what *we* class as **Lower Intermediate, Intermediate, and High Intermediate** before booking.
We always use the **first game as a level check**. If it becomes clear during that game that the standard isn’t the right match for this session, **you won’t be able to continue beyond that point**.
As a **small community club**, we’re unfortunately **unable to offer refunds** in these situations.

Brick Lane - a varied mix of stalls, shops and markets in one long feast for the senses

Uber-cool East! Discover the latest street life, clothing, art and music trends. Vibrant stalls and unique clobber, who said Sunday’s were for resting! Plus take in the diverse sights of The City, St Katherine's Docks and Wapping.

A little less cycling in this tour, but that's because there are so many great distractions!
A winding trail through richly diverse sights. Starting with the financial powerhouses of The City and stately Squares, we'll move effortlessly into Shoreditch, the Capital of Cool! First stop Columbia Road flower market, a great place for all with flower and plant stalls and 60 interesting local shops. From cup cakes to art galleries!
A short ride to Brick Lane which you can walk down at your leisure. No longer just known as the curry capital, it's now a melting pot of street culture. Designer and vintage clothing, food markets, bars and clubs, it's all here!
Spitalfields market combines history with cutting edge style and creativity. Often voted Best London Market and fully justified!
A change of scene beckons as we head towards the water and St Katherine's Docks. A stunning location with its marina of boats and great views of the Thames. Along the waterfront into Wapping where you'll see the modern transformation of wharf buildings into designer riverside living. An ornamental canal provides a nice cycle path for us to head back and over Tower Bridge to the finish.
There are numerous refreshment places along the way and we'll ensure we have a proper lunch stop to suit the group. If time permits we'll try and finish with a stop at a riverside pub.

**Rules**
Warm-up starts at 10am, where we’ll run through a few simple basics to get everyone comfortable.
From 9.20am, we’ll jump into doubles play and just enjoy the game.
Mistakes are more than welcome as we’re all learning, so no pressure at all. As your coordination and confidence improve, you’ll be able to move up to the improvers sessions.
For now, focus on building consistency, getting familiar with the rules, and most importantly, having fun rather than rushing the process. And don’t forget to be social, be welcoming, and keep things friendly on and off the court.

A big loop taking in the best Saturday sites in the East. Cycling through the City, along canal paths, under the glass skyscrapers of Docklands, through historic Greenwich, and seeing some great riverside views.

Physical difficulty:
Easy: 2.5 hours cycling at a slow pace. As you will be on the saddle for a few hours padded shorts or a gel seat cover will be useful for those not used to it. You must be competent on a bike and have cycled a similar distance before.

Itinerary:
What a start! Borough market, voted visitor’s top attraction in London. Tastes and smells from the finest food producers in the land. Leave some room for lunch!
Then a rare treat, your chance to enjoy The City with not a suit in sight! We’ll glide around the empty streets past monuments and imposing architecture. Are the streets paved with gold?
Leaving the city we’ll take to the canal paths and head to an urban zoo. Animals, flowers and with a superb Italian cafe attached.
Broadway market beckons. A trendy's hang out adds to a brilliant vibe. Food, fashion, crafts and buskers. You could stay here all day!
Another relaxing canal ride takes us through Docklands. Marvel at the towers above you before you descend under the Thames. Bet you didn’t even know there was a foot tunnel!
Greenwich market provides a perfect balance to your day with its array of arts and crafts. Plus you won't have far to carry back anything you buy!
We’ll ride back along the river and cycle paths to London Bridge.

American Sign Language Beginners Meetup Group
We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able!
Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
Fun & easy way to play more tennis (read event description)
We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches.

Short North Street Skate | Weekly Rollout
Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together.
These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus.

We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert.
If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start.
