Therefore, we are delighted to promote his weekly practice here on our Meetup for those of you looking to spend their Sunday in the best way. There will be a 60-minute lesson before social with the award-winning DJ Leo until 17.00. ***Join us on a history-focused walking tour of Bray! This is a St. Patrick's Day special with lots of general history and a Paddy's Day story for the day that's in it!*** Hi everyone, my name is Marina Boyle and I'm a local tour guide excited to share Bray with you! On this guided walk I'll take you through the local stories of early Bray through to Victorian times and into the modern day. Did you know that Bray was once a popular honeymoon destination? Or indeed a smuggling hot spot, home to Turkish Baths, and the location of Ireland's oldest film studio? As I share these stories and more, there will also be plenty of time to chat and make connections. Whether you are local, new to the area, or wanting to learn and make friends at the same time, this tour is for you! We'll start at Bray Harbour, opposite the Harbour Bar. This is accessible by DART, bus or car. The tour will finish in a similar location and last approximately 1.5 hours. This is a tip based tour. If you enjoy the tour and are able to give a contribution, any amount is appreciated. I am looking forward to meeting you :)

Make new friends 🤗 👫 while hiking ⛰️🏞for health and to refresh your mind in the 🦋 Wicklow 🌻🌼🌺 Country side. (Is this a Boot Camp 😀😍??)This is an easy social hike 🐿🐐🐏 in Glendalough but you still need some hiking fitness and be able to walk on rocky paths with a hiking boots. The hike starts at about 12.15pm from Glendalough MAIN visitor's center at the bus stop and bus pickup point back to Dublin at 17.30pm. Please be on early and on time for those who are meeting us in Glendalough. This hike is not always on a track🏔, so HIKING BOOTS with Vibram Sole and ankle support highly recommended as some tracks are also very rocky and muddy. No JEANS for this hike ,No Running shoes please. Dogs 🐕🦮🐕‍🦺 welcome, But need to check with bus company if not driving by car there. Bring waterproof warm winter clothing, food, snacks and water or drinks as we will stop for breaks. You Need some level of fitness and some hiking experience but this is not a hard hike. This is a sporting event, so every person attending this hike is responsible for their own health and saftey at all times.

**Hands in the Soil: Community Growing, Learning & Craic** This first gathering will be a relaxed mix of **hands-on garden work, shared learning, and good conversation**. It’s about getting together in a real space, doing something practical, and seeing what ideas and connections might grow from there. On the day, we’ll: * Get our **hands dirty** with some light garden work and soil prep * Do some **seed sowing** and talk about what grows well locally * **Make kombucha together** and chat about fermentation, food, and simple home practices * Share knowledge, questions, and experiences around growing food * Enjoy some **fellowship, chats, and a bit of craic** along the way.Alongside the practical side, we’ll also have an open, informal discussion about a bigger idea: * The possibility of **small community “park farms” or gardens** in underused green spaces around Dublin * What that might look like, what’s realistic, and whether others feel drawn to exploring it further There’s no pressure, no expertise required, and no expectation beyond showing up with curiosity and a willingness to pitch in. Whether you’re experienced with gardening or completely new, you’re very welcome. Bring clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and if you have them, gloves. Everything else will be very low-key. This is just a **first step** — a chance to meet, work, talk, and see if there’s a shared appetite to keep growing something together.

We will be meeting at Portmarnock Dart Station for 11:40AM. How to get there, H2, DART or 102 Bus. We will be starting from Portmarnock Train Station, walking the coast of Portmarnock to Malahide and turning near the end into Malahide Castle. We will be walking around Malahide and Portmarnock Beach, Talbot Botanic Gardens, Malahide Heritage Gardens, Malahide Castle and the Southern Cross Monument. Walk Duration is around 2 in a half hours (10.5 Kilometres) There is a lot of coffee shops nearby for those who want to get some food or coffee. We will be finishing in Malahide, not looping back to Portmarnock. Every event is 5 Euros but if you come two days in a row, you get the second event free. See you on Sunday.

The meaning of the word zen is meditation, zazen means sitting meditation. In zazen practice we begin to know ourselves, and to go beyond the limits of our personal ego. Within our tradition zazen is referred to as shikantaza, not doing, letting go of thoughts, dropping off body and mind. This sitting meditation is the focus of our practice. Language limits our ability to communicate the true nature of zen; it is something that is better understood through practice. We are open to everyone interested in learning about zen. Intro workshop for newcomers is available at 5.30pm each Sunday. The dojo is a sacred place and it is important to be considerate of everyone. We have many people that travel to practise together once a week or once a month. So for that reason it is really essential that we all know the structure of the sitting practise (when to sit, how to do Kinhin, the different bell sounds and their meaning etc), to ensure a silent, safe and meaningful meditation. And it's also great to meet everyone before the sitting practise. And answer any questions you may have. We have zafus and zabutons (mats and cushions) for all to sit on. Chairs are available too. Comfortable clothing for sitting, black or neutral tones best. We greatly appreciate a donation of €5 to cover costs if it's possible for you. Please arrive 10min before start so 6ish (if you're not doing the intro workshop). You are very welcome to our dojo!

Energizing Walk for Busy People!
Join our weekly walking meetup to have fun, maintain a healthy lifestyle, meet new people, and enjoy the weather! We meet Saturdays at 10am, halfway between the Reston *Container Store* and *Not Your Average Joes* (by the metal benches), leaving no later than 10:05. Every week, rain or shine, we start by walking along the Green Trail to reach Lake Anne Community Center. Once there, we pause for water/bio (often staying a few minutes extra from April-November, due to the local Farmer's Market), and then we circle Lake Anne and head back to our starting point. It's roughly 3-4 miles and takes about an hour and a half. Afterwards, some members will often head to *Not Your Average Joes* or another local restaurant for a quick drink/meal before tackling the day. This event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Dogs are welcome, and we recommend dressing for the weather (umbrella, water, snow shoes, hat, etc.) since we'll walk rain or shine. Also, feel free to bring a friend!
