This is an [in-person communication lab](https://www.presentation-school.com/berlin-presentation-lab) that helps professionals speak clearly and confidently under pressure using proven methods.

Wolf Huddle – monthly circle (live)
**A down-to-earth men's circle**
**for self-care, connection and resilience this Winter**
*This month's focus: How does play and fun look in mid-winter?*
When nights are long and the sun is scarce, Berlin can feel cold and lonely. *Wolf Huddle* offers a way to balance that out. Each month men gather to practice self-care in supportive community.
Through guided group and individual activities, we explore mental wellbeing, nervous-system regulation, and simple strategies to bring calm and connection into the darker months — tactics to keep the oxytocin batteries charged.
**What we’ll do**
Each session blends conversation, reflection, movement, learning, and optional platonic touch. You’ll be invited to name your own needs, set your own boundaries, support others, and join exercises shaped by the group: From handshakes and supportive contact — perhaps gentle massage or other ways you’d like to be nurtured physically — to self-regulation exercises, journalling, storytelling, and guided visualisations.
**What it's for**
Wolf Huddle is a chance to explore trust and fraternal bonds, the warmth and strength of relaxed company. We huddle not like a sports team, but in mutual respect and support. Along the way you may learn to feel more at ease saying 'no', release a little loneliness, or make some room for clarity, care, and joy.
**What it’s not**
Not a cuddle event or casual hangout. It’s a professionally facilitated, trauma-sensitive space where your boundaries are welcome and your sovereignty is central.
**Reserve your spot**
via [bank transfer](https://zigmal.org/wolf-huddle/),
adding *Wolf Huddle + your first name*, and a *contact method*
Contribution for BMG members:
**35 €** standard
**25 €** low income\*
If you decide to show up spontaneously on the evening, you're welcome to bring cash - but it is helpful for the planning to know in advance that you'll be coming.
֎ Bring a notebook, pen, and comfortable clothing
֎ The space is shoe-free, so warm socks are welcome.
֎ Cancel up to 24 h ahead for a full refund.
*\*Some men have asked what counts as 'low income': You're not expected to provide any kind of proof of being on a low income - it's entirely up to you... if €35 feels like too high a hurdle for you at the moment, then feel free to use the lower option.*
**About the facilitator**
**Hans** here from the Berlin Men’s Group. I'm a certified systemic trauma counsellor and touch trainer with twelve years of specialising in men's issues. I enjoy bringing depth, creativity and humour to my work.

Berlin Cybersecurity Social #24
**THE EVENT IS AT FULL CAPACITY.** **Attendance is only possible if you signed up on our Luma event page and you received confirmation of attendance (not waitlisted).**
This session is part of the Berlin Cybersecurity Social community’s monthly meetup, where security professionals, leaders, and enthusiasts come together to share knowledge and connect. So are you a cybersecurity professional looking to connect with like-minded professionals, share experiences, and make friends? Look no further!
**Cyber Risk in Banking & Finance: Regulation, Reality, and Measurement (Roundtable & Lightning Talk)**
Ever wondered what is really happening in banking and finance when it comes to cybersecurity regulation, risk, and board-level accountability?
Join the Berlin Cybersecurity Social community at the **Deutsche Bank Berlin Technology Centre** for an evening focused on how cyber risk is understood, measured, and communicated inside some of the most highly regulated organisations in the world.
This month’s edition brings together senior security leaders from banking and fintech sectors for an open discussion and lightning talk on cyber risk, decision-making, and operating security programs in complex, regulated environments.
** Roundtable Discussion - 45 mins**
The evening will open with a roundtable conversation featuring:
* Deputy CISO from **Deutsche Bank** Carsten Fischer
* CISO of **N26** Reinhold Wochner
* CSO of **Upvest** Sebastien Jeanquier
The discussion will explore how security leaders assess and manage risk, align cybersecurity with business priorities, and communicate effectively with executive leadership and boards.
** Lightning Talk 1 - 30 Mins**
**Cyber Risk Quantification: From Theory to Practice**
**Dr. Sybe Izaak Rispens**
Traditional cybersecurity metrics often fail to express risk in business terms. This session explores how cyber threats can be translated into financial impact using quantitative frameworks such as FAIR. Dr. Rispens will walk through practical steps including identifying critical assets, estimating loss event frequency and magnitude, and using simulations to support decision-making.
Drawing on real-world experience from financial institutions, including leadership roles at **Klarna AB** and **Trade Republic Bank**, the talk shows how cyber risk quantification helps security teams prioritize investments, justify budgets at board level, and integrate cybersecurity into enterprise risk management.
** Lightning Talk 2 - 30 mins**
**Entropy and Empathy: Applying Technical Writing Principles to Cybersecurity**
**Dustin Smith – DB Security Strategy and Frameworks**
Despite significant investment in cybersecurity technologies, many successful cyber-attacks still originate from human behavior rather than technical failure. This talk explores why traditional, information-based security awareness programs often fail to translate into secure behavior, and why cybersecurity culture should be understood as a behavioral and organizational change, not just a compliance or training exercise. Drawing on insights from behavioral economics, psychology, and real-world breach data, it highlights how attackers exploit human decision-making habits and social dynamics, and why simply knowing the “right thing” is rarely enough.
The presentation introduces a transformational approach to cybersecurity culture that focuses on shaping behavior, norms, and shared responsibility across the organization, especially under pressure and during incidents. It connects cybersecurity culture to cyber resilience, a critical concern for financial institutions, and examines how these challenges are amplified in the AI era, where attacks are faster, more convincing, and more personalized. The goal is to offer a practical, strategic perspective on how financial institutions can move beyond awareness and compliance toward sustainable, human-centered security.
***
As always, expect thoughtful discussion, practical insights, and meaningful connections with peers from across the Berlin cybersecurity community.
**About Berlin Cybersecurity Social:** This meetup is open to cybersecurity professionals of all levels, from beginners to experts. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your journey in the field, this event is the perfect opportunity to connect with others who share your passion for cybersecurity.

Real Long Term Friendship
Nice! You are looking for real long time friendship! You might have already lived in Berlin or other big cities and experienced the "Anonymous" culture for a while. Meeting random people over and over and never see the same person again! In order to find "Real Long Term Friendship" in Berlin, do as follows:
* You should not care how many people are joining this meetup.
You RVSP. Even if only one person is joining. Because if everyone are waiting for everyone else to RVSP, nobody joins and nobody finds a new friend.
* You do not care how many people of the opposite sex are joining.
You are looking for friends. Finding the best romantic partner in the world, while avoiding not very attractive others, can be your other goal, for another time. Here we are looking for Friends. Real ones.
* You are going to risk a very precious property of yours: Your time!
Yes, there are thousands of opportunities in Berlin, there might be a rock concert for free, a birthday party you might miss, an important person might call you and invite you spontaneously, but you never find new friends until you decide to risk your time and meet people anyway. "I will check my calendar and get back to you" also does not work. Commit your time and spend it. Trust me, you won't go bankrupt ;-)
* You are ready to use your phone as a real phone!
You might have been using your phone as a tablet to visit Instagram and Facebook and watch movies. But if you want to find friends, you must know that people might take your phone number and give you theirs. That means they will Call you! And you have to pick up the phone and answer it. If you want to find new friends, you must be ready to do something really hard for the first time after years: Call people first, and if they called you: Answer your phone!
* You are going to meet some people twice!
That's the point of friendship. We already can experience random encounters with random people in random places one at a time. But that is not called friendship. If you want friends, you must be ready to meet the same person more than once.
If you agree with above, RVSP and COME! You will meet other people who think the same way.
P.S: Now that you've read all the way down to here, I suggest you [watch this animation](https://player.vimeo.com/video/547249272?h=22f3dd0f6f).

***FAQ: Why does it cost money if I bring my own project?***
Because we rent a beautiful, central space for every event. Ever thought your monthly apartment rent was too high? Well, multiply that – that’s what commercial spaces in big cities like Berlin cost *per hour*.
Of course, if all you want is just some quiet time, your home or a library is perfect. But if you’d like to focus & connect with others in an inspiring space – with drinks, snacks included – that’s what your ticket helps to cover.

Free In-Person Meeting: Get Over Losses & Betrayals, Build Lasting Relationships
This is a free, in-person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Volunteering provides a wide range of personal benefits, including positive effects on mental and physical health, reduced stress/depression/anxiety, increased happiness and improved purpose, life-satisfaction and personal well-being! Plus, the opportunity to get involved, connect with others and help those in need.
PARTNER AGENCY: This event is hosted by Lutheran Social Services (LSS), which serves thousands of people in need each day in 27 Ohio counties by addressing the four core societal issues of food, shelter, safety and healing. LSS offers food through the LSS Food Pantries, housing and supportive services through LSS Faith Mission and LSS Faith Mission of Fairfield County homeless shelters, domestic violence services through LSS CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence, senior living and health care, affordable housing communities, and other services that uplift families and strengthen communities.
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
