Faith & Fork (Adult Small Group)
Faith & Fork (Adult Small Group)
Good food has a way of bringing people together. Faith & Fork is a small group built around the simple idea that meaningful connection often happens around a table. Each gathering includes a shared meal, conversation, a brief devotional, laughter-filled games, and prayer. Together we'll explore one guiding question: "If Jesus were at the table..." What would he say? What would he notice? How would he respond to the stories, struggles, celebrations, and questions we bring? And how might we be invited to respond as people seeking to follow him? Whether you're new to church, have been part of a faith community for years, or simply long for authentic connection, there's a seat for you. Come enjoy a meal, meet new friends, share meaningful conversation, and discover how faith can shape everyday life around the table. Expect good food, thoughtful discussion, plenty of laughter, and a welcoming community where you can know and be known. A seat is waiting for you at Faith & Fork. 🍴❤️ When: 4th Fridays \| 6:30–8:00 PM What to Expect: Shared meal • Fellowship • Devotional conversation • Games • Prayer • Community Questions? Techniques To Use For a Happier Life!
Your negative emotions can significantly impact your life and your relationships. Sometimes couples and friendships break apart simply because people couldn't manage their own negative emotions, such as anger, worries, anxiety, or depression. In this meeting, you will learn where these negative emotions come from, for you, and what you can do to start healing from them. YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! And you can do it without medications, without suppressing these emotions inside yourself. You don't need to leave your loved ones. Come to this meeting and learn how to live a happier life! This group is created by the Dianetics & Scientology life improvement information center in Washington, DC.

**Join us in Falls Church for conversations that go beyond small talk.** Higher Grounds – Falls Church is where this growing network of gatherings began: a space for thoughtful, authentic dialogue about what matters most. Whether we’re exploring the nature of happiness, the challenges and possibilities of midlife, spirituality, culture, capitalism, parenting, or the role of art and travel in a meaningful life, every conversation is shaped by the people in the room. There’s no set leader or rigid agenda—just a shared commitment to listen as much as we speak. **ONLINE** Mindfulness Meditation with Hugh Byrne
**ONLINE** Mindfulness Meditation with Hugh Byrne
**NOW ONLINE** The weekly Sunday morning (10:30 am to 12 noon) class begins with a welcome, short reflection on an aspect of the teachings, and includes an arriving meditation (15 minutes) that will often incorporate poems and may end with a reflection or question. The opening meditation is followed by an invitation to each person to share their name and a few words (for example, what is alive for them right now or what their intention is for the class or the day). The sharing has been a powerful support to help welcome new people, get to know each other, and build community/sangha. Following a brief period of mindful stretching/movement, we finish with a longer meditation (25-30 minutes) and final reflections on the teachings, sharing, Q&A, and announcements. Class participants are welcome to stay and engage with other members of the community or adjourn to a neighboring restaurant or coffee shop. This space is inclusive, everyone is welcome, and we invite you to bring with you all aspects of yourself. Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Columbus Comedy Improv Meetup at Gresso's!
Whether you've never done improv before, or you've done it for so long you were quoted in *Truth in Comedy*, or anywhere in between, come join us! Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**! The idea behind improvised comedy is to create entire scenes from scratch. A suggestion is taken from the audience and laughter is built on the spot. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway, Make Some Noise,* or *Wild 'n Out*; it can also be done in a longer way, to tell a complicated story, like *TJ & Dave*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and FREE!) weekly comedy event, brings the games for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment. Afterward, many members will hang out in *Gresso's* itself and get to know each other. Not only is this a lot of fun, but you get to work on thinking faster on your feet, your public speaking, plus it's an excellent way to meet new people and build relationships that will last a lifetime, and you do that while laughing your butt off! Ask yourself if you want to join the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup**, and say "*Yes, And*" that you'll have a blast!
