Floating Sound Bath
Enjoy a unique and deeply relaxing experience at a luxurious, secluded private pool surrounded by trees in Annandale, pairing the weightlessness of floating in water with the soothing vibrational frequencies of sound healing embraced by nature.
As you float on the water, covered in blankets to keep you warm to your liking, sound healing instruments are played and different birds, frogs, and other sounds of nature join in and out of the experience. Floating Sound Baths allow healing frequencies to resonate through every cell in your body, quieting your mind, releasing tension and stagnant energy from your body as you drift deeply into a relaxed state.
The private oasis pool setting provides an exclusive and peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature and trees filtering the sounds of non nature things. You will leave feeling refreshed, renewed and rejuvenated.
The whole experience lasts 1.5-2 hours as we like to keep it open to flow naturally. You will be warm and cozy as you stay dry in a large float with blankets and pillows.

Ausarian Tantra Yoga is a practice that infuses the spirit and power of enlightenment through synchronizing breath,
movement, meditation, and silent affirmation. Ausarian Tantra Yoga incorporates postures that reflect some of the principles of the Kemetic culture. It is a practice wherein gradual and deliberate movement allows moments for the mind, body, and spirit to connect and express oneness.

Take a break from the noise and join us for a refreshing hour of yoga in one of Arlington’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.
Whether you’ve been practicing for years or can’t touch your toes without negotiating first, you’re welcome here. This class is designed for beginners, but experienced practitioners will also enjoy the flow.
During this session we’ll:
• Learn foundational yoga poses
• Explore simple breathing techniques to reduce stress and improve focus
• Build strength, balance, and flexibility

Capoeira
Capoeira (capo-way-ra) is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is unlike any other martial art. Capoeira incorporates flowing movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics. It is often mistaken for a dance for those reasons. Since it’s origins in the 17th century, it has evolved from a secret fighting practice into an art emphasizing self-expression and community celebration. It is great for the body and mind! In addition to gaining strength and flexibility in class, students learn about Brazilian culture, history, and language (Portuguese). On November 26, 2014 capoeira was granted a special protected status as "intangible cultural heritage” by UNESCO.
No need to have a Capoeira background to join this class, just an open mind to try out a new way to move! Beginners welcome.

Spot Energy Chakra Healing
Spot Energy Chakra Healing with Sharon Sirkis
Do you have a nagging ache or pain or wish you felt more present and grounded? Come experience a fast, effective, and different way of healing through the use of chakra symbology. A couple attendees during this event will have the opportunity to volunteer to get on the table for a healing/insight. Sharon will also be adding some new techniques to this month’s session.
This event will immediately follow our 11am Singing Bowl Sound Bath Meditation. You are welcome to join for both.
FACILITATOR BIO: Sharon Sirkis graduated from the University of MD in 1979 with a BS in Nursing. She is also a Reiki Master, a certified Chakra Energy Healing Practitioner, an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher, a Black Belt in kenpo karate, and a singer and firekeeper for Native American sweat lodge ceremony.
Sharon was led to study and assist with numerous classes in Chakra Energy Healing since 1998. She has also studied extensively at T’ai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts (now MUIH), with Rosalyn Bruyere, world renowned energy healer.
Sharon sees healing as a big puzzle, and she finds that Spot Energy Chakra Healings including dialogue and insights are a much quicker and more effective piece of the puzzle. She agrees that healers are actually conduits for the energy that supports the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself, although she considers herself to be an active contributor. Sharon believes her background has helped make her an extremely strong and grounded healer, and also one who connects easily with clients because of her sense of humor and down-to-earth manner.
FIRST TIMERS: All are welcome as long as you come with an open/positive mind and respectful heart. No prior experience is necessary. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so you can get situated. You are also welcome to walk our grounds or check out or crystal shop.

This class is a perfect stepping stone from our flagship My Body Don't Bend That Way classes to traditional Vinyasa and Flow classes. The pace is slow allowing for plenty of time to get a feel for the postures and the proper alignment and modifications for your body. But don't let the slow word fool you! By slowing things down, even advanced practitioners can be challenged to build greater strength.

Chapters 2, 3, and 6 set up some of the core tenets of Hinduism that continue to be built upon throughout the Bhagavad Gita. They also allow us to explore ideas that we will see consistently come up across different religions. Chapter 2 talks about the immortality of our souls. Chapter 3 outlines selfless action, telling us that we should perform duty without attachment to the results, surrender our fruits to the Divine, and avoid inaction. Chapter 6 gives us more technical motivation on the advantages of meditation, controlling the mind,and self realization. Through these texts we should be able to think about the nature of ourselves and actions, and discuss why we do the things we do, and the concept of a “soul”. We can also discuss experiences with mediation, controlling the mind (controlling emotions), and if anyone feels self realized.
With “The Story of Shvetaketu” we follow a young man who is taught by his father that knowledge is more than just what we learn intellectually, rather it is about gaining understanding of the essence of existence. Here we get to explore fun philosophical concepts about what learning and knowledge truly is.
Ultimately, these texts challenge us to think about our agency by finding a sense of self-worth that exists independently of external notions of success or validation.

**Weekly Sunday Meditation Classes with Sanema Naomi Hardrick**

Reiki Practice Circle: All Levels Welcome
Join us at Unity of Columbus for our Weekly Reiki Share, a peaceful and uplifting gathering for connection, healing, and growth. A Reiki Share is a time where Reiki practitioners and students come together to give and receive healing energy in a supportive and welcoming environment. These sessions will be moderated by Columbus Unity Reiki. Reiki is a hands-on energy healing method from Japan that first came to the United States in 1938. Since then, it has grown in popularity and is now widely practiced throughout the West.
All levels are welcome, and you do not need to be a practitioner at Unity of Columbus to attend. If you are a Reiki practitioner, a Reiki student, or simply interested in becoming a Reiki student, we warmly invite you to join us.
