Coding Wednesday @ NOVI
**In het kort:**
💻 **Wat:** Live workshop @ NOVI Hogeschool
👥 **Wie:** Studenten van NOVI én iedereen die coderen wil ervaren
🧠 **Onderwerpen:** Git, GitHub , HTML, CSS, React en samenwerken
📅 **Wanneer**: Woensdag 10 juni 2026, 14:00 uur (tot uiterlijk 17:00)
📍 **Waar:** Op locatie! Newtonlaan 247, Utrecht (4e etage)

Tickets+Info via:
Dus. Wat is jouw moonshot?
Locatie: **Openluchttheater de Goffert, Nijmegen**
Inloop: 19.45u. Start voorprogramma (live band): 20:00u. Start programma: 20:30u. Einde programma: ±22.15u. Borrel tot 23.00u.
June 11 th Dutch Fabric User Group
**Agenda:**
17.00 - 18.00 Walk-in + Dinner
18.00 -19.00 **Fabric automated documentation**
19.00 -19.30 Short break
19.30 - 20.30 **How to get the most out of Fabric Data Factory**
20.30 - 21.00 Round-up and drinks
**Sessions & Speakers**
**Fabric automated documentation:**
by Marco Hansma, Data Architect & Head of Data Engineering and Michael Wanzik, AI & Data Engineer
**Session abstract**
Documentation matters, but in practice it's often the first thing that gets neglected. It takes time, becomes outdated quickly, and feels like an administrative burden for many teams.
In this session, we show how to approach this differently using Microsoft Fabric and AI not by adding yet another process, but by letting documentation emerge automatically as part of your normal data work.
Through a live demo, we show how documentation is generated automatically, stays current, and is immediately useful for data engineers, BI specialists, architects, and business stakeholders. Think technical documentation, functional explanations, lineage context, and descriptions that helps people understand and use data faster and more effectively.
We also cover how to handle this across different environments: from open innovation settings to organizations with strict security and compliance requirements.
After this session, you'll leave with a clear picture of how AI can transform documentation from a forgotten afterthought into a natural part of your data platform.
**Who is this for?**
Data engineers, BI specialists, data architects, analytics engineers, platform teams, and anyone working with Microsoft Fabric or responsible for improving data governance.
**What you'll take away**
* How AI can automatically generate documentation within your data platform
* How Microsoft Fabric can serve as the foundation for this
* A practical example you can immediately apply to your own organization
* How to get started, even in strictly secured environments
**Session 2:**
**How to get the most out of Fabric Data Factory**
by Jeroen Luitwieler, Senior Product Manager, Microsoft
As always, we're looking for speakers. So, if you have an interesting story to share, please submit your session to our [Call for Speakers](https://sessionize.com/dutch-fabric-user-group-2026/) If you're a first-time speaker, don't worry! We are more than happy to help you taking your first steps in the wonderful world of public speaking. Also, for all sessions submitted and not selected, we will keep a list of all sessions for future events.
Nature Hike Blauwe Kamer Rhenen (18 km) - FULL
This hike is one you don’t want to miss! It offers a lot of variety on a relatively short distance. From train station Rhenen, we will cross the river and walk along it for a while, until we cross it again by ferry, taking us to the beautiful wetlands of the ‘Blauwe Kamer’, where we might encounter all kinds of wildlife. After a break, we will continue to climb the Grebbeberg, a 52 meter peak in the hilly forest, towering above the river. We will then return to Rhenen, with the option of visiting this pittoresque old town.
**Where to meet**: we will meet at **10.30am** at train station Rhenen. This train station can be reached by Sprinter train from Utrecht Centraal.
**This hike is fully booked.** [You may register for a place on the waitlist on my website.](https://rewildyourself.nu/dutch-nature-hikes/)
National Park De Maasduinen 20 km
We’re heading out for a beautiful 20 km loop hike from Afferden through the gorgeous Nationaal Park De Maasduinen.
This route takes us through a striking Limburg landscape of forest, sandy paths, open heathland, river dunes, and wide views.
Along the way, we pass the ruins of Kasteel Bleijenbeek and climb an uitkijktoren for a panoramic view over the Maasduinen landscape.
One of the special features of this hike is that we cross the Maas river twice by small ferry. These crossings give the route an extra sense of adventure and connect the Maasduinen landscape with the village side of the river.
After one of the crossings, we continue to the village of Vierlingsbeek, where we’ll take our longer break for a drink. After the break, we make our way back toward Afferden, completing a varied loop through forest, heathland, castle history, river scenery, ferry crossings, and quiet Limburg countryside.
A hike with forest energy, open heathland, castle ruins, a lookout tower, two Maas river crossings, and a relaxed village drink stop.
**📍When and where to meet?**
We’ll meet at 11h15 at Busstop "Afferden, Veer naar Sambeek" https://maps.app.goo.gl/kcg4hBvRsHoUjBSa6

A New Era of Responsible AI: Culture, Governance & Agentic AI
This edition of Data & Drinks tackles two critical challenges in the operationalization of Responsible AI: accountability and adoption. First, we’ll explore the structural side with a deep dive into the upcoming AI Act and the necessity of building accountability directly into autonomous, agentic AI systems. Then, we’ll turn to the cultural side, exploring how to bridge the gap between theoretical AI frameworks and actual organizational adoption. In addition, we’ll host a dynamic panel discussion designed to connect these two vital perspectives, provoked by new ideas on how to turn concrete compliance into a living company culture.

19:00 - 19:15: Break
19:15 - 19:45: Panel discussion
19:45 - 21:00: Networking & drinks
**Talk 1 - "My Agent Did It" – Accountability by Design**
AI systems are becoming increasingly autonomous, but when an agent acts, someone still owns the risk. This talk explores the realities of AI Act governance and the growing need for accountability by design in agentic AI systems. Drawing from the unique perspective of AI market surveillance, we will examine how organizations can proactively embed responsibility into their AI agents before they deploy them into the wild.
**About Isabel**: Isabel Barberá works as Senior AI Advisor for the Dutch Coordinating Supervisor on AI and Algorithms (DCA) at the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), the Dutch DPA. She also serves as an expert for the Council of Europe’s Data Protection Unit, where she researches privacy risks, mitigations, and evaluation methods for Large Language Models and agentic AI. She contributes as an expert to the development of European AI standards on risk management and cybersecurity at CEN/CENELEC and is a member of ENISA’s Ad Hoc Working Group on Data Protection Engineering. Through the EDPB’s Support Pool of Experts, she has contributed in the past to several AI-related projects, in particular, the report she authored on privacy risks in Large Language Models, which has gained significant attention and recognition. Isabel is also an independent researcher on AI risks and safety, contributing to various international initiatives. She is the author of PLOT4AI, an open-source threat modeling framework designed to support the identification of AI risks during the development and deployment of AI systems.
**Talk 2 - From Tone at the Top to Culture: Making Responsible AI Real**
Walk into almost any major organization today, and you'll find no shortage of Responsible AI frameworks, guidelines, and governance documents. And yet, in practice, most of them don't stick. Why? Because policies don't change behaviour, culture does, and culture starts at the top. In this talk, Marieke Peeters makes the case that Responsible AI is ultimately a leadership challenge. Drawing on her research and advisory work, she explores what it takes for upper management to move beyond signing off on paper policies and to actively shape the norms, habits, and conversations that make responsible AI a daily reality. What does a genuine tone at the top look like in AI? How do you build real literacy instead of checkbox compliance? And how do you avoid the all-too-common trap where everyone works around the framework rather than with it?
**About Marieke**: Marieke Peeters is a researcher, consultant, and educator at the intersection of AI governance, organizational change, and human-AI collaboration. She is the founder of Mooncake AI, where she advises organizations on building responsible AI cultures that go beyond compliance. She is also a Senior Researcher at Hogeschool Utrecht within, among other things, the RAAIT (Responsible Applied AI) program, where her work focuses on evidence-based approaches to ethical AI in the real world. Earlier in her career, Marieke helped lay the groundwork for responsible AI at Xomnia itself; so this is something of a homecoming.
**From Policy to Practice: Bridging the AI Responsibility Gap (panel discussion)**
Following the talks, join us for an engaging panel discussion with our speakers, Isabel, Marieke, and Martijn Di Bucchianico, Analytics Translator at Xomnia. The panel will build on the evening's core tension: how to design concrete accountability frameworks (the structural angle) versus how to ensure that an organization actually adopts and embraces them (the cultural angle). We'll use a series of sharp propositions to spark conversation and facilitate an interactive, multi-angle discussion.
**About Martijn**: Martijn Di Bucchianico is an Analytics Translator at Xomnia with six years of experience bridging the gap between business strategy and data-driven technology. With a background in hospitality tech and financial services, he has established himself as a trusted partner for organizations implementing data and AI initiatives. Martijn’s multidisciplinary expertise, strategic mindset, and pragmatic, people-centric approach allow him to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights. This unique focus has made him a leading voice on AI governance and effectively scaling AI within organizations to drive sustainable change.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Finding Product Insights
**The Behavior Gap: Where Products Win or Lose**
Teams today have more data than ever, and yet many still struggle to understand why customers adopt, engage with, or abandon their products. Teams sprint, ship faster, and chase more signals… all while metrics stall and confidence drops. The missing piece isn’t more data. It’s often the behavioral insight between the metrics, explaining why the numbers move in the first place. Dashboards can tell you what customers did, but understanding why they did it (and how to influence what they do next) requires a deeper blend of insights. This session is about closing that gap.
Drawing from real-world experience designing and scaling products as [ZoCo Design](https://zocodesign.com/)’s CEO, [Lacey](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) will share how to cut through the noise and identify the insights that actually change behavior—moving people, and moving metrics. You’ll learn:
* Why understanding customer behavior is a quant and qual challenge
* How to spot the signals that actually predict behavior change
* Where AI accelerates insight, and where it creates distraction
* How to get meaningfully closer to customers, without adding more tools
This talk reframes how to evaluate performance and identify what levers actually improve it, helping your team to make smarter bets with greater confidence. Every meaningful outcome is driven by behavior change. And when you know how to design for behavior, you stop guessing, and start building things that work.
**About Our Speaker**
[Lacey Picazo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laceypicazo/) is the Founder and CEO of ZoCo, a healthcare product studio that turns complex, high-stakes ideas into products that drive real-world adoption. She partners with healthcare organizations to uncover critical care delivery insights, focus product strategy through behavior design, and build solutions that patients and providers actually use.

Battle of the personal agents
Join the Columbus AI community for a special event.
**Battle of the Personal Agents** is your chance to see what people are actually building with AI agents and personal automation systems. Whether you’re running OpenClaw, Hermes, or a completely custom solution, bring your agent and show the community how it works.
We’re interested in real-world implementations: the problems your agent solves, how you use it day-to-day, how it’s hosted and managed, how you built it, and why you’ve chosen to keep using it. Live demonstrations are encouraged, so be prepared to show your code, architecture, workflows, and your agent performing real tasks.
This is less about polished presentations and more about sharing practical experience, comparing approaches, and learning from one another. If you’d like to present, please contact Chris Slee (via meetup) before the event so we can allocate enough time for everyone’s demonstrations.
Come ready to show what you’ve built, discover what others are doing, and maybe find a few ideas worth taking home.
Whether you’re deep in the field or just getting curious, come connect with others building and exploring AI in Columbus.
