We’re hosting an open Grief Café at Villa Vida Café, a monthly gathering for young adults who are navigating grief and want a space to talk, listen, or simply be around others who understand. This is a low-threshold, informal space. You can come as you are. The hike is considered moderate, but still suitable for most active people. You can join from Budapest, Vienna or from the start of the route. Mindfulness is the ability to be present in the moment and experience life more fully. It makes life richer, brighter, and filled with simple pleasures. In everyday life, we constantly switch between our phones, work, and thoughts about the future. On this hike, we'll try spending the day differently: without phones, without rushing, and without unnecessary noise. We'll pay more attention to the nature around us, our own feelings, and simply give our minds a chance to rest. There will be mindfulness exercises, periods of silence, time for reflection, and, for those who wish, meditation. Phones stay in our backpacks and won't come out until the end of the hike. Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit.
