This workshop series is a **follow-up to the ESP32 Robotics workshop**, but with a different concept. Here, there will be no subject set in advance, instead **all participants are welcome to join at any point and at any level, from beginner to expert**. On Sunday it is going to be hot, so I suggest a hike at the coast, where temperatures will probably be milder. We will start early to avoid the heat and the crowds on the train. Once in De Panne, the first part of the hike will go through the dunes into the direction of France. Halfway we cross the border into the coastal village Bray-Dunes, where we will have a lunch break. After lunch we return to De Panne along the beach. As usual we end our hike with a beer or an ice cream. Important: As the number of participants is limited, it is important that you manage your registration responsibly: only sign up if you really intend to come and cancel as soon as you know you can’t (this also goes for people on the waiting list!). We will try to keep close to an average speed of about 5 km/h. We will walk mainly on unpaved roads. If you start from Brussels-Central, you should take train IC 3630 direction De Panne at 7h45. I am living in Ghent, so I will get on that train later. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. We’ll close with a brief overview of how extensions are packaged and published to the Visual Studio Marketplace and other distribution options. **YouTube Link** TBD
