For those unfamiliar with LeanCoffee: it's a moderated discussion format where we talk about the topics that get voted on by the participants. This makes for varying topics. Overall, Lean Coffee provides a flexible and democratic way for groups to engage in meaningful conversation. We try to start at 19:30 with an intro round and start gathering topics you want to talk about straight after. Coming late is ok, but just know that you typically won't have a say in what gets talked about. This workshop series is a **follow-up to the ESP32 Robotics workshop**, but with a different concept. Here, there will be no subject set in advance, instead **all participants are welcome to join at any point and at any level, from beginner to expert**. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure.
