Join Women & Gender eXpansive Coders DC for brunch at Union Market! We will get a large picnic table outside the main Union Market building. Come for 30 minutes or for the whole time. Meet fellow tech women and nonbinary folx over a cup of coffee or a meal from one of Union Market's many tasty restaurants. Getting there: Union Market is a short walk from the NoMa-Gallaudet University metro (Red line). Parking is usually available in the lot in front of the market, or on the street, although street parking can fill up on busy weekends.

Spring has spring, which means we're well on our way through the Firefly Foundations class series meant to provide students the opportunity to learn about the House and about our way of being Pagan. For the fourth class of our seven-class series, we'll cover what we do to try and keep our rituals interesting. If you attended the third class, doing those same steps in the same way over and over again might get a little stale over time. So, we try to mix things up, and this video discusses a bit of how we do that while still keeping things familiar enough that folks can feel comfortable with what's going on. When you RSVP for this class, you'll be asked to provide an email address. We'll send you a link to the class video at that address as soon as possible after we receive it. We keep won't share your email with anyone ever. Watch the video before the class date and time, and come to class with any questions you might have. During the class session, we'll be going over anything from the video you wanted to review, and after that we'll swap stories about rituals and ceremonies that we've enjoyed, things that feel short of our expectations, and maybe even things that went wildly beyond them! If you're comfortable with it, join us at the MLK Memorial Library in the Room 401-D to join the conversation in-person. Masks will be welcomed, but not provided, for in-person attendees. We will also have the necessary technology to allow folks to join in online via Google Meet if you prefer to attend remotely. Video conferencing information will be sent out the morning of the event. If you're connecting that way, please give us a few minutes past 3:30pm to get the stream online. He's got a couple close friends, a steady paycheck working for a regional airline, and of course, for a few glorious days each Fall, college football tailgates. He considers himself to be a mostly lucky guy -- despite the fact that he's suffered from a debilitating disease since he was a small child, one that has left him unable to speak or to move without a wheelchair. Largely confined to his home, Daniel spends the hours he's not online communicating with irate air travelers observing his neighborhood from his front porch. One young woman passes by so frequently that spotting her out the window has almost become part of his daily routine. Until the day he's almost sure he sees her being kidnapped.
