Join DC Metro Crafts for an additional meetup this month, this time in NW at the Cleveland Park library. It's about a block from the Cleveland Park metro. We'll be in the 2nd floor conference room. Bring your own cross stitch, knitting, crochet, or other portable craft.

Join us for a tropical 8.5-mile cruise around Rockville to York Castle Ice Cream. This locally-owned small business is known for its housemade ice cream in tropical flavors such as guava, lychee and mango! This ride completes a loop inside the Carl Henn Millennium Trail (CHMT). Our route has rolling hills and is mostly on neighborhood streets. From Research Blvd, we'll follow Watts Branch Pkwy and hop on the CHMT until we get to Tower Oaks and our access to Dogwood Park. We'll go through Dogwood Park and head to Rockville Town Center. Then, we'll go to east Rockville and through the Lincoln Park neighborhood. After climbing up and over the Unity Bridge, we'll arrive at our destination for a sweet treat. Afterwards it's all downhill to the Rockville Senior Center and back to our start location. Free flat-fix classes!! On the last Tuesday of each month, we host fix-a-flat classes! Bring your bike with you if you'd like to learn by using your own bike. We will cover basic flat fixes with an inner tube. We may be able to answer a few questions about tubeless, but the focus will be flat fixes for inner tubes.

We'll use this time to meet new GRASP members and catch up with those we already know! Look for GRASP table flyers and Eli's GRASP shirt to easily find the group. Our curriculum includes knifes, swords, stick-fighting, striking, and grappling; but we place a special emphasis on edged weapons. Please come out and learn some Kali. Our aim is to train hard, learn some sound defense strategies, and make friends along the way. Although FCS Kali is a combat-oriented systems that involves edged weapons, we provide a safe environment for learning w/o sacrificing realism in our training.
