**NOW ONLINE** The weekly Sunday morning (10:30 am to 12 noon) class begins with a welcome, short reflection on an aspect of the teachings, and includes an arriving meditation (15 minutes) that will often incorporate poems and may end with a reflection or question. The opening meditation is followed by an invitation to each person to share their name and a few words (for example, what is alive for them right now or what their intention is for the class or the day). The sharing has been a powerful support to help welcome new people, get to know each other, and build community/sangha. Following a brief period of mindful stretching/movement, we finish with a longer meditation (25-30 minutes) and final reflections on the teachings, sharing, Q&A, and announcements. Class participants are welcome to stay and engage with other members of the community or adjourn to a neighboring restaurant or coffee shop. We are going to talk about the books we read—any books, from any genre. Whether it’s fiction or nonfiction, classic literature or something modern, everyone is welcome to share their thoughts, impressions, and favorite passages. It’s a relaxed and friendly conversation where we can discover new ideas and enjoy each other’s perspectives.

Unfortunately, I already made plans for Knit in Public Day, but I thought it would be nice to get together for some stitching over the weekend. This is going to be a super-casual event. The start and end times are really just suggestions. Come out whenever you get a chance and stay for as long as you feel like. All crafts are welcome, as well as all skill levels. Or just come out to chat about crafts with a bunch of super-cool crafters. My plan is to arrive around noon, eat some lunch, do some knitting, eat some more, stitch some more, etc. until it's time to go home.
