Get together and write
Get together and write
We're a group of writers that meets up every Sunday for a productive writing session. **Here's how the meetup works:** * We gather together, grab some fika, and then we write for an hour. * After the hour is up, we spend some time chatting, sharing ideas and thoughts on writing, and discussing the challenges we've come across. The goal is to **commit to working on your writing project for a set amount of time, all while** **connecting with other writers** and being motivated by the energy of creative minds working hard on their individual projects. You'll have the chance to share your work and receive valuable feedback (if you so wish) or simply enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. -- We're here, **same place, same time, every week.** So if you're feeling up to it, drop by and let's get writing!

Wild Technology (!) — Bioengineering, Enhancement, Acceleration & Future Humans
Wild Technology (!) — Bioengineering, Enhancement, Acceleration & Future Humans
**“Wild Technology (!) — Beyond AI, Beyond Control?”** Bioengineering, Enhancement, Acceleration, and the Future of Being Human Technology is no longer just something we *use*. It’s something that reshapes bodies, minds, and even evolution itself. From gene editing and brain–computer interfaces to synthetic life and runaway AI, we’re entering a phase where the boundaries of the human are no longer fixed. This isn’t a futurist hype session or a tech demo. It’s a philosophical conversation about limits, responsibility, and what it means to remain human in a world of radical technological power. *** **Topics we’ll touch on:** * Beyond AI: bioengineering, gene editing, and human enhancement * Are we improving humanity—or redesigning it? * Who gets access to enhancement—and who is left behind? * Is there such a thing as “playing God,” or is that fear outdated? * Do moral limits still apply when technology moves faster than ethics? * What happens when evolution becomes a design choice? * And finally… is there a point where technology stops serving life—and starts redefining it? Casual discussion. No technical background required—just curiosity and a willingness to think boldly and carefully at the same time. Whether you feel excited, uneasy, inspired, or alarmed—you’re not alone. Let’s explore the edge of the possible—and ask where, if anywhere, we should draw the line.

CPH Collage - 87
CPH Collage - 87
Artwork by the italian artist Giosetta Fioroni https://artsandculture.google.com/story/giosetta-fioroni/qQUB4u2_54RgIA Specifically, this piece comes from her series exploring witchcraft and rural legends, often grouped with her work on the Spiriti Silvani (Woodland Spirits) or her fascination with historical and magical imagery from the 1970s and early 80s. Why these works are significant: • The Technique: Fioroni is a master of "appropriation." In these works, she takes 16th and 17th-century woodcuts (often from old manuals about demonology or witchcraft) and physically collages modern elements into them—frequently cut-outs of herself or contemporary women. • The Specific image is a modified version of the famous 1589 woodcut of the Chelmsford Witches (the execution of Joan Prentis and others). Fioroni has updated the central figure with a modern, photographic cutout of a woman, bridging the gap between historical persecution and modern identity. • The Theme: Fioroni’s work often focuses on the female condition. By placing a modern woman into these archaic, violent, or mystical scenes, she creates a dialogue about how the female image has been constructed and "hunted" throughout history. About the Artist: Giosetta Fioroni was the only female member of the Scuola di Piazza del Popolo (the Roman Pop Art movement). While her male colleagues like Mario Schifano were looking at advertisements and logos, Fioroni focused on the "silver" memory of cinema and the timeless quality of fairy tales and myths. The meetup lasts 2 full hours with optional overtime Before starting, you can find our table and leave your things so Lou can grab a drink at the café. Once we are all seated, we introduce ourselves and start cutting and pasting.
 • 1s hour- the first round of collage is called freestyle to help us warm up. No restrictions, start finding images to cut out and paste.
 • 2nd hour - for the second round, someone proposes some simple "trigger instructions".
In the end, we show our collages and appreciate the diversity of styles.
 • After the session, we have the option to extend it a bit to get a drink or some food we can bring or order food so we can hang out a bit more. (Mellemrummet is very relaxing regarding bringing your own food from home or other venues; there is a poke place right in front.) Everyone is free to do fewer or more collages as wished, the triggers and frameworks are only a reference. We dedicate some time to appreciating techniques, shapes, colours, and textures to learn and get inspired by each other. Alongside, we chat and relax.
These sessions are not a class but rather a community gathering. We try to nurture a friendly atmosphere and take care of each other. --
Logistics:
• Bring your tools - paper, scrapbook, scissors, cutter, glue, tape, magazines, books, etc. Have it at your side on the day.
• Buy your favourite drink and introduce yourself to the rest of the people, we are kind of an international mix of all ages

As the first meetup occured to be a great success! (nobody came👀) I am happily announce our second one! (our the first one attempt #2👀). This time location is shared in the very begging and time choice is slightly randomized to a different one. Everything else is bound to remain the same as I am unable to identify any flaws you see :). Come and vibe AI Safety or even network!!😊 Some fancy description: We’re living through something comparable to the Industrial Revolution — except this time, the machines don’t just replace muscle, they try to replicate cognition. This group is for people in Malmö who want to calmly and seriously discuss AI safety: how advanced AI systems might impact society, work, power, and long-term human wellbeing — and what can be done to steer development in a beneficial direction. The meetup is informal and discussion-based. We’ll talk about current AI systems, near-future risks, ethical questions, governance, and technical safety ideas — always with an emphasis on critical thinking rather than hype or fear. You don’t need to be an AI expert. Students, researchers, professionals, and curious non-technical people are all welcome. If you’re interested in understanding AI beyond headlines — and want to think together with others — this meetup is for you. Fun and nice atmosphere included. First meeting: introductions, short framing, open discussion, and figuring out what this group should become. There'll be vegan cookies and fruits.

Killers of The Flower Moon Book Discussion
Killers of The Flower Moon Book Discussion
For our inaugural meat up we will discuss the fan favorite David Grann’s Killers of The Flower Moon. Synopsis: The book investigates a series of murders of wealthy Osage people that took place in Osage County, Oklahoma, in the early 1920s after extensive oil deposits were discovered beneath their land. After the Osage are awarded headrights in court to the profits from oil deposits found on their land, the Osage people prepare to receive the wealth to which they are legally entitled from sales of their oil deposits. The Osage are viewed as the "middle man" and a complex plot is hatched to eliminate the Osage inheritors one by one, by any means possible. Officially, the count of the wealthy Osage victims reaches at least 20 but Grann suspects that perhaps hundreds more may have been killed because of their ties to oil. The book details the new FBI’s investigation of the murders and the eventual trial and conviction of cattleman William King Hale as the mastermind behind the plot. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/193388249-killers-of-the-flower-moon We will meet at ForFive in Rosslyn in the upper floor seating area.
