Sahaja Yoga meditation course in English
Sahaja Yoga meditation course in English
Welcome to join our Sahaja Yoga meditation meetings in English! The meetings are free of charge and you can just show up. The group consists of people of different ages and nationalities who have been meditating different periods of time. Newcomers are welcome at any time. We normally sit on chairs or on pillows on the floor, so there is no need to bring a mat and you can wear normal clothes. Meditation means mental silence or thoughtless awareness. You are present here and now, but your mind is not bombarded by thoughts from the past or the future. In this state, you feel peace and joy, which are the essential elements of the present moment. With regular practice of meditation, it is possible to establish this state within us. The group is lead by volunteers who are experienced and can offer guidance to get you started. We give a short introduction to the meditation and after that we do meditation exercises. We also give tips on how to meditate at home. After the meditation class, we have a cup of tea and there is time for questions. Welcome! We hope to see you in our meditation meetings! Oulu retreat- Held by Nature, Held by Being
Oulu retreat- Held by Nature, Held by Being
Theme of this retreat is deepening our relationship with nature — pausing to listen, reconnecting with ourselves, each other, and the living world around us. During the retreat, we create space for stillness, presence, and gentle exploration of what nature within us — and around us — is inviting us to notice, feel, and remember. These days offer a chance to exhale and be held in a safe and accepting space, where you can be seen and heard just as you are. If you feel the call to slow down and go deeper, this might be your moment. For more information about this transformative opportunity, contact me directly: 0445588999
POP-UP EYE GAZING MUSIIKKITALON PUISTOSSA
POP-UP EYE GAZING MUSIIKKITALON PUISTOSSA
``` 👁️ EYE GAZING POP-UP – Musiikkitaloon puistossa, Helsinki Lauantai 6.6.2026 | klo 13:00–15:00 Mitä tapahtuu kun pysähdyt katsomaan toista ihmistä suoraan silmiin? Ilman suoritusta ja ilman roolia? Tuomme Helsinkiin yksinkertaisen ja syvällisen pop-up tapahtuman: Eye Gazing. Sinä. Toinen ihminen. Hiljainen kohtaaminen. Sinä päätät kuinka pitkään. Kun istut toisen ihmisen eteen ilman odotuksia, ilman rooleja, tapahtuu jotain yksinkertaista ja samalla harvinaista: näet toisen ja tulet itse nähdyksi. Ei sanoja eikä suoritusta. Vain kaksi ihmistä jotka kohtaa toisensa. Kun mieli lopettaa luokittelun jäljelle jää puhdas läsnäolo. Tämä on kaikille avoin kutsu kokeilla kohdatuksi tulemista. Istu ja katso. Anna katseen välittää sen mitä sanat eivät saa kerrotuksi. 📍 Musiikkitalon takana Makasiinipuistossa, Mannerheimintie 13a 💸 Täysin ilmainen, ei ilmoittautumista ✅ Tule vain paikalle! Kohtaamisen järjestää Open Heart Helsinki #eyegazing #metta #kohtaaminen #helsinki openheartofallbeings.com ```
Sahaja Yoga meditaatiokurssi suomeksi
Sahaja Yoga meditaatiokurssi suomeksi
Tervetuloa mukaan Sahaja Jooga -meditaatiotilaisuuksiin suomeksi! Tilaisuudet ovat maksuttomia, ja voit tulla paikalle ilman ennakkoilmoittautumista. Istumme yleensä tuoleilla tai lattialla tyynyillä, joten mattoa ei tarvitse ottaa mukaan, ja voit pukeutua tavallisiin vaatteisiin. Meditaatio tarkoittaa mielen hiljaisuutta tai ajatuksetonta tietoisuutta. Olet läsnä tässä hetkessä, mutta mielesi ei ole täynnä menneisyyden tai tulevaisuuden ajatuksia. Tässä tilassa tunnet rauhaa ja iloa, jotka ovat nykyhetken olennaisia elementtejä. Säännöllisellä meditaatioharjoituksella tämän tilan voi saada vakiintumaan meissä. Ryhmää johtavat vapaaehtoiset, joilla on kokemusta ja jotka voivat ohjata sinut alkuun. Annamme lyhyen johdatuksen meditaatioon, minkä jälkeen teemme meditaatioharjoituksia. Annamme myös vinkkejä meditaation harjoittamiseen kotona. Tervetuloa! Drunken Philosophy: Are you really who you think you are? What is the "self"?
Drunken Philosophy: Are you really who you think you are? What is the "self"?
I have been studying the question of "self" online with Prof. Ellie Anderson and so I thought a prompt on the "self" might be interesting. Full confession: I had Claude create this prompt and I like it, so here goes: Imagine a thought experiment that merges two classic puzzles: > You undergo a procedure, performed neuron by neuron, in which every biological component of your brain is replaced with a functionally identical synthetic substitute. At each step, your behavior, memories, and personality remain unchanged. When the last neuron is swapped, is the consciousness experiencing the world still you? And — more pressingly — was there ever a continuous "you" to begin with? ### Questions to Wrestle With * If consciousness is purely physical, does the *gradual* nature of the replacement matter, or is it equivalent to being destroyed and rebuilt? * Could there be a "self" without continuity of experience — even moment to moment, while you sleep? On a more practical level, consider the simpler case first: **hemispherectomy** patients — people who have had an entire cerebral hemisphere surgically removed — often retain a strong sense of personal identity and continuity. This suggests "you" are not rigidly tied to specific physical material. But does that vindicate the synthetic neuron case, or merely show that identity is more *flexible* than we thought — not that it can survive *complete* substrate replacement? I used Claude so I could get this out today and let everyone have some time to consider it. Hope to see you at the Oracle. Sorry about the location change two weeks ago. That's what I get for trusting local weather predictions!
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
